So I am really interested in working on some really cool builds. I've been playing Minecraft for a while, and never really got into the building aspect of Minecraft until about two years ago. I am not a Professional builder in any sense, but I do have a good grasp on the building part of it all. I do not know if this is in the correct place, but I was wondering if anyone would want to start working on a town with me? I really enjoy building them because you get to see the map expand and you get to add intricate details to each building.

9. Describe a time when you had to step up in any project on Minecraft: I was a moderator or a server a while ago. Obviously there was a rule against griefing. I was the only mod on and i was told about a group of people going about griefing people's houses. I gave them a warning and told them taht if tehy did it again, there would be ban. A couple of days later. I was told by another player, that the same group of people were griefing. Of course, they got the ban.

Experience: My experience working with Minecraft servers goes back a long while back to when I was around 11. I began working with my own small community server that my friends and I played on often. I have since learned the basic knowledge of cracking open a plugin if there was some issue or code needing changes and also how to configure them in detail according to the server type. Eventually I came to the point where my friends nor I played on the server any longer so we shut it down not long after. Since the shutdown I have been wandering around miscellaneous Minecraft websites trying to assist new server owners on developing their servers. Of course I did not stay for a permanent staff position because I felt they would learn much better discovering things by themselves. Sometimes when I have free-time I toy around with configurations and basic plugins that I have made for fun. I am usually of more use with the community and server-side view of things because I'm too impatient to spend time on detailed building in-game.
Qualification: I feel that I am qualified because I have had several years of experience working with this style of things. Although I have not assisted the development of many large servers I feel that this could be a great learning opportunity for me. Recently I have spent some time working with the factions aspect of servers because I was planning on making one for my friends, a small community, and I to play around on. My temper is not easily played with either, and I do not ban people on-the-spot for being rude or anything of the sort. I usually give the user fair warning before I kick, temp-ban, ban, or do anything of the sort.
Willingness: Anything that you may require of me that does not interfere with my lifestyle or schooling is something that I will most likely do. Although once the server has developed a fairly large fan/community base I do not believe it will be necessary for staff members to vote daily.
Availability: My schedule is very flexible for the most part, but if something comes up that relates to my religion, school, or family I will not be available. Otherwise, I am online most days from around 4:00-7:00PM EST. You may need to contact me if you need something done though because I'm not planning to spend the entirety of my afternoons playing Minecraft.
Stepping up: Many times I have needed to step up although people did not wish me to. An example would be of my development on a server in which there was a specified plugin developer who managed all the plugins, but he was having an issue that was difficult to solve. I believe that he asked for some changes to be made for a specific plugin to perform properly and the server owner was not too happy about it. I volunteered to look into the issue, and I had actually found a solution. The developer on the other hand believed that my solution would only make the problem worse, and he would not implement it. Eventually I came around to contacting the owner and notifying him of this issue, and he immediately implemented my fix and it worked completely fine.

*Helpfulness – I have always tried my best to be helpful on the forums in many different servers. Whenever someone asks a question, I try to answer it. I look at the intros section constantly because I know that a lot of people actually post questions there. Similarly, I look at the discussion sections of many forums for the questions that are posed there. In game I also try to answer questions. My helpfulness in game is not as great as my helpfulness on the forums because the chat moves faster, and sometimes it’s hard to notice questions before they’re gone. However, when I do notice a question I always try to answer it. My helpfulness on Mumble is probably the worst of all, and I don’t think that this is because of my low activity. The reason for this is that whenever people have a question, they don’t usually ask me but rather a staff member. It’s very hard to become helpful on Mumble or TS3 unless you are actually a part of the staff team. I believe that if my moderator/admin application is accepted, I can become very helpful on TS3 or Mumble if the server has those.
Approximately, how many rule breaker reports have you submitted? –I have submitted 7-8 rule breaker reports, and I believe 4-5 of them were actually banned in many different servers. The number is a little bit lower than I would have liked, but I still think that it is high enough for me to become a part of the staff. The reason for this is because I only started reporting people about a month ago. I didn’t report people before this because when I recorded I got around 7 fps. However, recently I have tweaked my computer so that I can get 20 fps while I record. This is still fairly low, but it is playable enough that I can still function regularly while recording. If I am accepted as a part of the staff team, I don’t think that this will be an issue because I will record even if it does bother me a little.
How old are you? – I am currently 16 years old. This may not be as high as you would like, I believe that I can still become the same moderator that I would be if I were a little older despite my age, even if the age expected was a little higher. I believe that I can be just as helpful or polite as a staff member who is a few years older than me. I like to think of myself as a responsible and mature enough person to handle any kind of situation thrown at me.
What is your experience and knowledge of Minecraft? –I bought the computer version of Minecraft on June 3, 2012. I had played it at my friend’s house and instantly fell in love with the game. My parents offered to pay for it if I waited a week, but I simply couldn’t. I bought it right away. All though the Minecraft I witnessed at my friend’s house was single-player, I didn’t stay there for long. I quickly discovered multiplayer and like it even more than what I had been playing. I played mostly faction servers until I completely understood the game. All the crafting recipes, all the things you can do, everything. Eventually I got bored, until I found a new server with a new addition to it, a gun plugin server. One with a special guns plugin I switched through a bunch of servers until about 6 months ago I really stuck to WarZ. I have played it every day since and really love the game. I would like to say I know very much about it. The items you can find, the places you can go, and the different ways you can play it. This is why I would like to become a moderator/admin for the server. So that I can really discover what I can do on this server. I already have researched and discovered the plugins that are used in your server and I know how to work with all of them fluently.
What is your experience with moderating servers? – I have been a co-owner of one server before. The server never became fairly big, so I didn’t get very many opportunities to correct players who were breaking rules. However, it was definitely beneficial to me as a moderator because it allowed me to learn most of the commands involved with being a staff member, even if there weren’t very many players. I sadly do not have proof because at the time I never thought I would need proof of the server, and the server went down a few months ago. I have also had some experience with editing and customizing plugins for servers.
What will you provide to the community if you are provided moderator/admin status? – I will try my very best to become a kind member of the community I will not be the kind of staff member who uses force to keep people in line. I will try my best to reason with people and explain why what they are doing is wrong, and then get them to stop. I will use force if needed, but before doing so I would like to make people understand how they are being unfair to others.
Have you ever used a hacked client before? – I have never used a hacked client before, nor do I plan to do so in the future. I have always been taught that the golden rule (however cheesy it may be) is to always treat others how you would like to be treated. I know that when you are given a disadvantage because someone else is using a hacked client that it ruins the game. I don’t ever want to be the source of that feeling to anyone else.
Have you ever been banned on a Minecraft server? If so, why? – I have never been banned on a Minecraft server. As I said before, I believe in treating others with respect so that you may be treated the same way. For that reason, I have never said anything in a chat or performed any actions that would result in a ban. I believe that games are meant to be played for fun, and games cannot be fun if their rules are broken. I try my best never to break any important rules so that all of the members of the game can continue to have fun.
How active do you consider yourself in-game? – I spend a large portion of my free time playing on the WarZ servers. I consider it to be a very fun game, probably one of the best that I have ever played. I spend 1-2 hours on the server every weekday, and 2-3 hours during the weekend. I enjoy every second that I spend online, so I have no problem dedicating my free time to these servers. If I was accepted as a member of staff, I would probably spend more time in-game than I already do.
How active do you consider yourself on the forums? – I go on the forums probably 3-4 times a day for about 15 minutes at a time, for a total of about an hour a day. Sometimes I’ll propose a discussion for the rest of the community to give their input on, I have done this on many different servers, and sometimes I’ll just look at other people’s threads and comment. I currently have 524 messages, 248 of which received positive ratings on a different server, then again, I sadly don't have any proof of this as I did not think that I would need it. I’m happy to say that besides like and agree, which are the two most common ratings, the rating with the most votes was friendly. I like to consider myself a friendly person on the forums, so I think this describes me well
What do you consider your greatest strength? – My greatest strength is the joy I take from helping people and definitely working with plugins, customizing them to the likings of the owner, I am very passionate about it, I could spend hours and hours working with plugins, I have done it before. If I was accepted as a staff member, I would not help people simply because it was my job, I would help people because I enjoy doing so. This is why I already try to answer questions that people pose in-game, even without the moderator status. The reason I am applying for Admin is so that I can become someone whose role in the community is helping people as well as the server for the most part, and so that I can do what I already love to do. I will always stay active and discuss new ideas or additions that I think would be great for the server with different members of staff.
How would you handle someone making a minor transgression for the first time? The first time someone did something wrong, such as disrespecting me in chat, I would message them and tell them why they shouldn’t do that and ask them to stop. I believe that before becoming firm with someone, you owe it to them to at least explain that they are doing something wrong so that they know and get the chance to stop without the matter becoming worse. However, there are rules, and it does depend on what rule they have broken, the punishment that they will get for it.
How would you handle the same person doing it again a second time? – If they ignore my first message, then I would become a little more firm and tell them that they need to stop, and that this is their last warning. If someone does something once, it might be because they didn’t understand the rules. However, if you inform them of the rules and they still do it again, then they are deliberately breaking that rule. I will hand out the punishment that I am supposed to (Which I can find on the server rules).
How would you handle that person doing it again for the third time? – If they ignore both of my warnings, then, depending on the situation, I would message them something like “You did not listen to my warnings, so now you are being kicked/muted”, or whatever the punishment may be of course . I would take a screenshot of what they did, and then I would carry out the kick/mute. I would later report the screenshot to the higher staff. I will always be providing proof of any actions that I take.
What is your reaction if someone publicly proves you wrong on the forums? – I would thank them for showing me that I was wrong. A lot of people don’t like being proved wrong, but I think sometimes you need someone there to tell you you’re wrong so that you can do whatever it is correctly the next time.
What would you do when someone breaks a rule on the forums? – If it was a complicated issue I would report it to a higher staff member and let them solve the problem. However I can handle most of them if I am given the permissions to do so as I already have the knowledge

Anything else we should know about you? – I have been debating whether or not to apply for some time now. I finally decided to do so because I think that I could be a kind and very hard working staff member that a lot of people would like. In the past, a few people have told me that I should apply for mod ,admin or even Developer because I am so kind and know that much about plugins and customizing them. I haven’t applied before this because I didn’t think I was ready. However, I think that I am ready now and that I can become the kind staff that they think I can be.
Do you generally know how all the plugins and commands work? –The server that I was co-owner on obviously did not have the same plugins and commands that this server probably has. I know very complex commands and how to edit them to the likings of the owner, even to the extent to where I might be able to add custom commands, but this depends on a lot of factors which sadly I can't go into much depth.
Do you realize that if you are disrespectful or abuse your power, your power will be taken away? – I would never do anything to get me demoted. If I am accepted as a staff member I will make sure to be a good one. The thought would never even cross my mind that it would be a good idea to do something bad to the server.

So I am really interested in working on some really cool builds. I've been playing Minecraft for a while, and never really got into the building aspect of Minecraft until about two years ago. I am not a Professional builder in any sense, but I do have a good grasp on the building part of it all. I do not know if this is in the correct place, but I was wondering if anyone would want to start working on a town with me? I really enjoy building them because you get to see the map expand and you get to add intricate details to each building.

If you're a builder, would you mind sending a screenshot of a build you have done? I am not looking for the best of the best, because that may be a longshot, and I am not the best either. I believe with a group of people we could accomplish something great. If you have a good enough build, mind sending it to me VIA Private Message, or even in the replies below?
Server Owners -
This may be a long shot, but we do need somewhere to build. I don't have a realm, and I would prefer to do it somewhere where WorldEdit is available, and I don't have to vote for it every 10 hours. We would just need a regular sized map, WorldEdit, and some patience. I don't ask for any form of payment. All I would ask is that you let us build a town, when we are done let us put our name on the build, and you can keep it for yourself if you would like. If you're a Server Owner, please PM me.

Why you want this position*: I have always had a love for Minecraft. I have had positions on other servers in which I was an Administrator, Owner and even Co-Owner. I have proven myself loyal to each server that I have staffed on, and I know how to handle members and staff. I am very mature, so this means I won't let my personal feelings get in the way. I am in college, I used to be a Business major ( I am a Biology major) but with my Business background means I know how to run a sucessful business, and at the end of the day you are running a Minecraft server, which in turn, is still a business.
Past Experiences with a position like this*: I have owned three servers in the past. The first two were self-starters, in the fact that I started them with my own money, gathered the staff, fixed all of thAfter proving my worth as a Community Manager, I was given the Promotion to becoming an Owner.

Proof of previous work: I don't have any pictures or any references. Every server I have been on has been disbanded either due to a lack of funds, or player/staff interest in continuing the server.
