Thanks, but the port forwarding site doesn't have instructions for my operating system with my router.

I'm on Windows, but we have the time capsule router by Apple.

This is the guide it gave me: http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Apple/AirPortExtreme/Minecraft_Server.htm

Do you know what to do? I've tried googling it.

Uhm, you have windows? Windows 7 you mean? This guide you linked is for MAC if i´m not mistaking. So are you sure you have windows?
If this "Time capsule" router is not on that list then i´m clueless. This router of yours seems to be a MAC router of sorts(i think), I don´t know much about MAC, i´m sorry.

But this is what i got, not sure if its more help
    http://gigaom.com/apple/how-to-port-forwarding-on-a-airport-extreme-time-capsule/
This is a guide to port forward "Timecapsule". But the guide seems to be on MAC.
If you are using a MAC then follow this guide.
There are many ways to port forward, find out exactly what kind of a computer you have (MAC/windows) Find a guide for your router and port forward "25565"

25565 is the port Minecraft uses, so which ever way you use, this is the port.

Sorry i can´t be of more help, when it comes to apple and MAC i don´t know much. I´m a windows user, always have been.

It´s not as simple as downloading the minecraft.jar and run, like other said before.

    First go to
    http://www.minecraft.net/download
And download "minecraft.jar" near the bottom of the page.

Choose a folder for the server (I created a folder on my desktop named "MC Server"), put the "minecraft.jar" there and start it. When started the server creates new files in the folder. One file named "server" can be opened with notepad and there you can change settings for the server.

You can now connect to the server but other probably can´t, because you have to open your port, and this is where it gets a bit complicated. But no worries, here´s a guide you can follow.
    http://portforward.com/
Find your router on that list, click on it and then you get an add, just click "Click here to skip this add" in the upper right corner. On the next page you get a list of games, find Minecraft on that list and click on it.

After clicking on Minecraft you get step by step instructions on how to proceed. Just follow it and you should be fine.

Your friend has to have your IP to connect with the server.
    Go here
    http://www.whatismyip.com/
    And give him/her the number.

posted a message on Sprinting, double tap is annoying.
Double tapping the "W" key is not a good key binding for sprint. It doesn´t always work if you tap too slowly or too fast or accidentally released the key after tapping. It happens a lot so i suggest making the sprint button be "Shift" and move sneak to "Control". That´s a setup most players are familiar with.
Adding the option to change the key binding for sprint will also work, but i can see the problem with that if you want to change it back to double tap. I´ve never seen a key binding that registers double tap.

I´m just wondering why this website is still up and running? This is a cracked Minecraft right? So its stolen?

People actually think Minecraft is free because of this website, they don´t realize this is stolen. Was there a glitch in the copyright or something? I don´t understand how this can go on for so long. Kinda pisses me off :sad.gif:
