I'm having a problem with a custom server that a friend and I run for around 4 people. It seems RFTools' packet handler is the cause of the crash, but I don't know what I can do to fix it. If you could look at it I'd really appreciate it because I'm getting no help elsewhere.
It crashed a few hours after updating/adding a couple of mods. We've tried reverting to a backup of the world before it happened, we've tried reverting the mod updates, we've tried temporarily deleting key files that get regenerated... We've even tried temporarily deleting the world file entirely and it won't even create a new one.
I'm completely stumped. What's strange is I can load the world in singleplayer on my computer and it works fine, but when it's being run as a server, it fails to start. It says the error is with RFTools but even after reverting to the version we had before on the server for weeks, it still fails to load the world.
I think my shield pet broke. It's at 0 durability and won't eat when I try to use it. It's been on my hotbar for an hour now and hasn't eaten. I have an iron nugget, an ingot and a block in my inventory, it won't eat any of them.
Custom pets would be really neat, but try not to let feature creep keep you from releasing an update, lol. You've said "next week" the last 3-4 weeks in a row now.
I freakin' love this mod. The sprites are adorable, and the abilities are really helpful.
Do you intend on making pets for every mob? You've got about half of them down already, though I'm not sure what the abilities for the rest could be. You got most of the bases covered.
I apologize if this has been asked a thousand times in the past 108 pages, but how exactly do you get some of the items like the hookshot, gauntlets and hammer? It sounds like you're supposed to get them in villager trades but I've spent the last several hours trading and I got nothing, every new trade is just another vanilla item. When I try to offer items to them, they only offer emeralds back. Chests seem to only ever hold heart pieces and keys, even locked ones. Am I just really unlucky, or am I missing something?
Is it me or are Beam spells impossible to use? Fire them for half a second and they max out the burnout meter. A simple "Beam -> Magic Damage" with no other effects on it has an enormous base cost of 32/t. A "Beam -> Fire Damage -> Damage x3" costs a ridiculous 200+/t.
When 1.5 comes out, I'll probably release a new version. I don't really play Minecraft anymore so any work I do on it is just to pass the time when I'm not doing anything else.
I must apologize to everyone who has been waiting for a 1.0 version. It's up now. I haven't been very interested in playing Minecraft for a while now, so I forgot about this pack. I also haven't been getting email notifications like I normally do... Anyway, the pack has been updated.

Also, I see bound items (pickaxe, sword, etc) in NEI but I don't see a way to get them. Are they not implemented yet?
