    Quote from Soduh_Man

It's been two years, how're things. I haven't watched anything since season 2, what's new, what's happening, is it the same, are there new characters, did someone die, any great new fanfics, new lore, etc? Please tell me, I'd go back through all 1400 pages I missed but I don't have a couple of months just lying around. Also, if there's a new forum that ya'll hang around.

New characters? Nothing really. New happenings? Well, if you don't care about spoilers, Discord's a "good" guy, Twilight's an alicorn, there's a box of boxyness, and I haven't been keeping up with fanfics. Also there's a IDW comic series that people tell me is fantastic. Season 4 is 75% awesome mixed with 25% still not too bad. Oh, and canon humanized ponies in the best movie I have ever seen. that pretty much sums it up.

I'm personally over at FiMGaming, joking around there, having fun with everyone though none there are from here that I'm aware of, and reviewing episodes. Nice community. Got an MC server, too.

posted a message on Why is LoL addicting?
MOBAs themselves? they are addicting in the same as any other game is, but appeals to a different audience than puzzle, action, or shooter genres. Your skill is tested in different ways, and it makes you feel good whenever it's validated that you are better than the other guy, when you nuked six people with a killstreak, beat a puzzle that was frustrating you for days, or when you pulled off that sweet gank that gave a triple kill to your carry.
I don't know that last feeling... I play support. So basically the barometer of feeling good is "I made up for a bonehead move that my ADC made."

Or, even if you lose you just keep searching for that next dopamine high and you can blame your jungler, or feel that you could have made better plays and get better.

    Why League itself?
Well, the barrier of entry is relatively low. Compared to other MOBAs, it's easy to pick up. Granted, it's still hard, and it takes someone better than me to even be decent at it (I play support for a reason). Therefore, people won't be so quick to judge the game for being too hard. Therefore, you can blame other things.
Whether a low barrier of entry is bad or not is a different matter entirely.

Why not look for other games? Because humans like to stick to what we know.

posted a message on Insanity vs. Regret , Which one?
Insanity. Like how insane the comic sans made me. I'm joking, though it was hard to read.

Let me be clear, Regret is the right option. It's a manageable dread, though it haunts you. Insanity is just perpetual hell on earth, but the thing is: how long till that happens?
Until I get bored and my mind withers away, I'm a walking, breathing god... complex. I have the ability to enter people's stories and mess however I want to. What are they going to do? Kill me? Lock me up? I have all the time in the world. I often find myself thinking what if I had superhuman powers. It all comes down to: whatever I want. It's a selfish, psychopathic thing to think, and I love the idea. What guilt is there for the guiltless? You're all my pawns, and it's cute when you struggle against me.

And eventually, I will get bored and my life will become worthless and lonely. But that's a long time from now, and to see life pass by me as time marches on would be incredible. I'd have a world of choices to try and mess with, and immortality is only a curse once you let it hinder you.

    It's a gruesome, unappealing idea.

And if it were just "I go nuts," I'd still choose that. Because seriously, I could get regret any day, how likely is it that I get to experience what being insane is like? Probably not fun, but for a morbidly curious mind...

posted a message on What would want if you paid with your arm and leg?
I would pay an arm and a leg for nothing less than someone else's arm and leg. If I really cared about them. That's the least amount I'd accept. If someone were offering me immense power or improved life for all, take the saw and start hacking.

Preferably my left arm and right leg, so I'd have my right hand and left-side support to lean on things

posted a message on The most annoying songs you've heard.
Viscerally annoying? There are a few popular songs that come to mind, though I wouldn't say everything that is popular sucks and annoys me. I like quite a few songs that are currently popular. If I could be exact in saying what one artist annoys me the most, it'd be Ryan Lewis and his production work. For the life of me, I cannot stand a single song he has touched.

Annoying in the sense of how bad it is? Lemme just put it to you this way:
Garage bands stay in garages for a gooooood reason.

posted a message on Hashtags, your thoughts? (Now with a poll!)
Within Twitter, they are useful for grouping tweets so people can search by them. I especially like how they're used for jokes or creative means. They can be overused, sure, but it's hardly a blight on humanity. The overuse of them is more funny than anything, and even then I see it most used in an "ironic" way. Because that's what my generation has so far shown to do best: pretending we're better than everyone else. #Don'tH8MeCauseUAintMe #YoloSwaggins #BlackSwag

When you can get in one's dreams you can get in one's brain. Therefore, she can know all.

And given the time diaspora between a dream and RL, she could effectively have five times more time digging through someone's head to help them solve an issue.

A point, and you could argue she was making the future sound as bad as possible, but how would Luna know where Sweetie would end up with the box? And even if Luna was running through Sweetie's head at 5X speed trying to find a solution, it's still a rather short time for her to get all the parts from both Sweetie and Rarity to make this christmas carol plan.

The below poster does not yet exist, and therefore cannot aid me. The object to my left is a drawing of myself. The object to my right is a wallet, and the above poster is you, o grand God. And since you must help me, i use your powers to eradicate the world, then use the wallet to buy us some space ice cream and talk about how I can improve my drawing style.

MORTAL! end the world with a bricked phone.

As an individual food, I'm very partial to good black cherries. Firm, sweet. Mmmmmm.
Also Shepherd's/Cottage pie. Lots of vegetables and the meat and the potatoes. Again, mmmmmm.

I would first exchange the dallors for dollars.

Then, invest it in a bank and let it collect interest. Later down the road, use it to fund ambitious projects and ideas. Create more art for arts sake--since I'll have money and still have a job theoretically--and use the interest to fund charitable organizations and help people who need it.

I suppose you don't have a little sister then?

A lot of little things tend to go nuclear.

Especially a younger sister. Don't forget, these are two drama queens, and vengeance of this sort actually seems kinda tame.

I was just kinda puzzled how Luna is apparently omniscient. She really had no way of knowing any of that stuff. I mean, I guess the stuff in the past could have been dreamed at some point, but how did she know about the headdress? And the future?

    Okay, I'll make this brief:

My fic's first act is done. Finally. Been damn long enough.

    Quote from RPPatches

That's all this is, right? Opinions? Aaron has done nothing but state his opinion and explain why he thinks the way he does, I'm not entirely sure why you're going around and telling him he's wrong.

Good question! But a bit off-topic so Imma spoiler.

When you state an opinion you are opening it to discussion. A person may ask why you have this opinion. In some cases, person 2 may feel you have a valid point even when they disagree. In others, the person may still think your opinion is somewhat unfounded, and see if they can find any deeper reasons. (Or just want to argue.)

In this case I challenged it because Dihn was making the entire thing look like an absolute disaster and putting someone off without them trying it. Opinions are fine, but I felt it had to be defended from an exaggerated claim.

    BUT! PICS!

None of them fit though. They were there for the sake of being present and because they would be funny. The EQD and WeLoveFine references also felt like weird product placement. It's like Hot Topic or Pepsi appearing in Star Wars. It's not even of that universe!

Eh, sure. If you want to focus on billboards and faded graffiti instead of the foreground, sure you can make that argument. But why?

That was a brief several-second long clip. And other characters have "broken" the fourth wall from time-to-time in their own way. Either in the outro to an episode. But it's never been something as major as the whole alternate-universe bending physics as Pinkie in Double Rainboom which was a whole plot point. She was the entire reason the episode came out a relatively happy ending.

Sure, that's a valid opinion, though a matter of taste I see where you are coming from. Although that whole discussion was slightly off-topic.

Where in stuff like Fallout Equestria the elements of the Fallout Universe's style merging with the world of ponies has a seemless explination behind it. And somehow Kkat managed to make it work by some voodoo magic. And future writers working on the very concept (Somber, Mimezinga) have managed to stay the course and even flesh out how it could be without background lore.

They also had a humongous story, not a 25 minute student project.

Where-as with crossing into the Powerpuff Girl Universe it just goes into it. It had minimal basis, and the whole sequence in the PPG universe felt sloppily handled. The entire episode could have been done without having to go into cross-over mode.

Again, doing something for funsies is not bad. Sure the episode could have gone a different route easily, but why? I understand if you just flat out don't like it. In that case this isn't for you. You don't like it, sure. I'd be hard pressed to defend you calling it "sloppy." But sure.

Remind me, how did this support your case for it being "Saturated with references" that break the storyflow? So far you've come up with three solid examples.

    We can do better.

    Repped for this line.

My Little Pony ~Tomodachi wa Mahou~ Episode 2 (English subbed) is out, for anyone who still cares about the dub and/or didn't get a chance to watch it yesterday.

I'll edit this post/post my thoughts on another post after I'm done watching it. Okay, so I just finished watching. Here are my thoughts on it.
I still need to get used to all of the mane six's voices x.x

Okay, I'm confused. Why is there a big deal over a japanese dub?
