If you don't mind some criticism (I'm sure you don't, but just in case).
The platform seen in the picture would look better as a (A Circle or (B Square instead of the "double triangle" platform. It would also be neat if the platform was held up by iron bars connecting to the roof of the cavern. Also a little less redstone torches would be nice.
I don't want to guide you on how to make a map. It's up to you to learn. But I will say: I see a lot of maps designed with over use of certain items or block (gold block or "butter") and not enough effort put into the detail and storyline.
Anyway, I wish you the best of luck for the future of your map.
thanks for the insight this post wasnt suposed to go up, its not finished! And your right, my first idea of the platform was to make it circular but I needed a size by area make up of one and for some reason a rhombus with a pathway camw in mind, and also detail is the critical thing, that and the story. #dont use gold friends
Hello James here to give you an idea i am making for a adventure map.
THIS IS CORRUPTION
Corruption is not like any other adventure or ctm map, it is in a way, both fused together. It is a map based on living to survive in while having a current story going on. In this map you start off in adventure mode in a strange cavern on a platform floating on the void, in it a bed and some chest.
"After falling into a pool of water you notice a platform holding 4 beds and 2 chest, in the middle a enderchest glimmers. in front of you is a pathways leading out of this strange platform into the mountains where you see 2 doors blocked off by what you thought was fallen dabre. after a long time of getting your mind together you get up and set out to explore this mysterious place."
This is a and the only Safe Zone, in the game. Once you get to the 2 doors you will see a lever next to you, once you pull it (out of damn curiosity) you will be blinded and teleported to outside the doors. once blinded the chat will tell you a piece of the story.
"once i pulled the lever i witness the rock left on the ground fall into what seamed to have been a hole created by a device."
"Leaving that strange room, filled with the coldness of a void of which i cannot explain."
"Entering the door i come out to see a cavern large enough to hold a grown city."
Once that happens you will be set into adventure mode and the doors will open, But if you return through the doors you will be set back to adventure mode.
