    I have added three new pies as I wanted to get some more content out before I worked on the long project of the Cook Book. Hope you enjoy, more to come later. Happy Eating!

    That's a really cool idea. I have seen many large builds that have just been ruined by the height limit so this is a great idea. It makes you wonder why Mojang either didn't do this in the first place or why they aren't working on it now. Good luck to you!

    This mod looks like it has great potential. Obviously it needs some work as all you can do as of now is throw and eat the pies, but what you plan on doing sounds really cool. Good luck to you!

    Thank you for the feedback. I am currently working on the Cook Book. I hope to have that finished as soon as I can which will hopefully increase the usability and overall content value.

    This mod adds food items to give you an incredible culinary experience
    Note:
    The idea for this mod originated after the code was written. It was originally intended to be primarily about throw-able pies. Keep this in mind as of now that is the only feature in the mod. Just remember this mod has a lot left to do.

    Apple Pie

    Pecan Pie

    Peach Pie

    Strawberry Pie

    posted a message on [1.7.2 Forge] Adding custom code to Items
    I am in development of a mod that adds throwable pies. I would like to try to make the built in pumpkin pie throwable. I already have successfully written code that lets you throw the pie with full hunger and eat it otherwise, I just need to know how to override the code if you will. Any help would be appreciated.

    I fixed the problem thank all of you. For all those wondering, right under the if statement put
    "super.onItemRightClick(par1ItemStack, par2World, par3EntityPlayer);"

    posted a message on [1.7 Forge] How to Replicate the Hunger Event?
    I am developing a mod that adds a couple throwable pies. My code has been set to only allow the pie to be thrown if the player's hunger is full. The item is registered as food but can only be eaten if I comment out the entire method starting with the onItemRightClick. My code so far is as follows:
    public class ItemPieApple extends ItemFood{

    public ItemPieApple(int j, boolean b ){

    super(j, b );

    this.setUnlocalizedName("applepie");
    this.setCreativeTab(CreativeTabs.tabFood);
    this.setTextureName("PieMod" + ":" + "applePie");

    }

    public ItemStack onItemRightClick(ItemStack par1ItemStack, World par2World, EntityPlayer par3EntityPlayer){

    if (par3EntityPlayer.getFoodStats().getFoodLevel() < 20){

    //

    }
    else{

    if (!par2World.isRemote){

    par2World.spawnEntityInWorld(new EntityPieApple(par2World, par3EntityPlayer));
    --par1ItemStack.stackSize;

    }
    }
    return par1ItemStack;
    }
    }
    So any help to try to fix my problem would be greatly appreciated.

    You don't need anything in there. You already solved your problem.

    At the moment it is empty there but I still can't eat it.

    You need an instance of EntityPlayer, not literally "EntityPlayer.getFoodStats()." In the method parameters, you already have an instance of EntityPlayer, which you have left with the default name (nothing wrong with that, though I prefer to rename mine to shorter versions) of "par3EntityPlayer" - you need to use that to access the food stats:
    if (par3EntityPlayer.getFoodStats().getFoodLevel() < 20) {
    // the player is missing some hunger and may want to eat
    }

    Food level goes up to 20 (in unmodded Minecraft), so you can change that value to a lower one if you want to be able to throw the item when you are missing say 1 hunger bar, then you could do less than 18. Each hunger bar is 2 points, times 10 bars = 20 points.

    Ok thank you for your feedback. I tried this and it worked perfectly. It wouldn't let me throw it till I had full hunger, but I couldn't eat it when my hunger wasn't full. I assume there is a method or statement that would, as Neuroticcheeze said, "call on eat". I can't seem to locate that however. Any ideas what this statement should be?

    Have you tried:

    if (player.getFoodStats().needFood())
    {
    //Call onEat or something.
    }
    else
    {
    //Throw the pie
    }

    So I tried this but player wasn't found, so I changed it to EntityPlayer which seemed to work but I got this error on the entire statement
    "Cannot make a static reference to the non-static method getFoodStats() from the type EntityPlayer"

    posted a message on (1.7)Calling Hunger Level in an if statement?
    I am in development of a mod that adds a couple different pies as food items. The twist is you can throw them. I have the code for it to work as food and as a throwable object, but both are activated by right click. It seems to default to throwing. My idea was to add an if statement that detects if the player's hunger level is full. Only then would you be able to throw it. Otherwise you could eat it. The problem is I can;t find the correct method or statement that would let me call this stat. My Item code is as follows:
    public class ItemPieApple extends ItemFood{

    public ItemPieApple(int j, boolean b ){

    super(j, b );

    this.setUnlocalizedName("applepie");
    this.setCreativeTab(CreativeTabs.tabFood);
    this.setTextureName("PieMod" + ":" + "applePie");

    }

    public ItemStack onItemRightClick(ItemStack par1ItemStack, World par2World, EntityPlayer par3EntityPlayer){

    if (!par2World.isRemote){

    par2World.spawnEntityInWorld(new EntityPieApple(par2World, par3EntityPlayer));
    --par1ItemStack.stackSize;

    }
    return par1ItemStack;
    }

    }
    If you have any ideas or simply want to tell me that my idea wont work please do, any help would be appreciated.

    I set up a forge server where me and my friends made a mod pack with about 70 mods. I can connect fine but my friends (who have same mods installed) recieve "Can't reach server". We are using Hamachi and we have tried port forwarding but no matter what tutorials we find it seems to complicated for me to set up. Is there anything wrong or do i have to port forward?
