Ooooooooookay, I was completely misunderstanding whats wrong with CTM in Optifine C#, WantedRobot helped me out. Its just that all the files have to be terrain or block, no mixing. I switched all the blocks I could over to terrain#.properties but there's still a few bugs with them you should know about. I wrote down the terrain number, block, what kind of CTM I'm using and what's not working on it. By "no effect in-game." I mean it just looks like a regular block with no CTM stuff whatsoever.
terrain0 - Grass Top - Random, shows no effect in-game. terrain35 - Bookshelf(Sides) - Horizontal, shows no effect in-game. terrain49 - Glass - CTM, works on panes, shows no effect on full glass blocks. terrain83 - Ladder - Vertical, shows no effect in-game. terrain85 - Iron Bars - Vertical, shows no effect in-game. terrain95 - Crops (Final Stage) - Random, shows no effect in-game. terrain105 - Glowstone - CTM, shows no effect in-game.
and when I tested block only stuff, I got the following errors.
block17 - Logs (Oak) - CTM, shows no effect in-game. block17a - Logs (Pine) - CTM, shows no effect in-game. block17b - Logs (Birch) - CTM, shows no effect in-game. block17c - Logs (Jungle) - CTM, shows no effect in-game.
Sorry for any confusion I may have caused, sp614x! If you're curious, here's the master list of all my CTM stuff, along with a texture pack download and test world. In case you want to see for yourself.
Lovely idea! I assume you use CTM through mc patch? How does it work? (I'm a complete CTM noob, sadly)
Actually, Optifine. I couldn't get it to work with MCpatcher for some reason. Learning how to do it is the hardest part of this CTM stuff. It's a bit to suffer through, but take your time and read the documentation. After that it's just annoying, trying to keep track of all the numbers.
This is exciting, I just figured out something neat that can be done with slabs.
A single slab or a single double-slab will be my regular slab texture. However, when you stack double-slabs it becomes a stone pillar like my sandstone one. Going to play with this for the other slabs...
I haven't checked on this thread in a while, but I saw it on the first page and thought I'd have a look.
I noticed you put up a history section. I read through it and saw this at the bottom:
Thanks for this! It's always nice to look back and see how much better I've gotten.
So are you going to update the customizer? Perhaps add old textures as options for the people who like to make a mixed version?
No but I would support any enterprising fan who wants to maintain a customizer for me. Same goes for anyone who wants to maintain a mod support thread.
Just released another update, and rewrote the OP to be more up to date. I also wrote a bit about my previous texture packs and included pictures so you can see how I went from **** to slightly less **** :v
I mean this pack most certainly is what keeps me coming back to Minecraft. I would probably be willing to pay a little myself if that meant it could keep going. I really love the pack.
