everything seems in order except the creative mode screen is buggy looking. Also critical hit particles are missing. I can't figure out what these are called to manually replace them for the time being.

Creative screen is weird because you're using the pre-release. The critical hit particles aren't missing though.

Nvm, I got it working; I had an out of date version of Optifine.

Yes, the latest Optifine that has "Natural Textures" (which is standard C6 I think) will work and you don't have to use the files from the /ctm/optifine folder. The ones that are just in the /ctm folder work fine.

This is good news, I'm glad folks don't have to choose between the two anymore. Also, sneak peek.

Well, its is a rather dark texture pack in comparison to default, especially if you were around for Alpha's bright green grass and trees! :P I actually prefer this darker shade, as the lighting given off by the torches is superb. Also NeroLinkz, I stared at that avatar of yours for a good minute waiting for it to load. Touche, good sir.

SMP, like a I mentioned above, the torch lighting really makes me love this pack even more. But is that just my Optifine doing that, or is that your work? I don't know the details on texturing, I'm afraid.

Nope, that's my doing actually, custom light map. It will work in either Optifine or MCPatcher.

Thanks for the info, two quick questions: Will the glass blocks be connected soon, and will the grass we randomized again soon? That was one of my favorite parts

This is a bug with Optifine.

If you want to use Optifine, delete the terrain#.properties files in /ctm/ and take the files from /ctm/optifine/ and put them in /ctm/.

I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but the string doesn't have a texture when placed on the ground unless it is attached to tripwire hooks.

Anyways, the new update is great, I've been using this pack for a long time. It's definitely the best 16x pack out there.

Strange, as far as I know the free standing string uses the same texture as the tripwire string.

    I really love your pixelart!

    Thanks!

    Ahh, alright.

When do you plan on revealing your scifi pack? Sounds really ambitious.

Very soon actually! Switching to MCpatcher introduced some small bugs I have to fiddle with, then I just have to build some stuff for promo pics and it will be ready to go.

Your CTM support is just stunning.

Did you figure it out yourself are do there happen to be any tutorials on it?

Read the official documentation ("Information for Texture Pack Artists" in the MCPatcher thread) very carefully. After that it was trial and error and studying some of the cool stuff that WantedRobot made for the FyreUK/Doku pack.

This randomized texture feature should be default for minecraft. Very happy with this latest update, SMP. You continue to surprise me, as I never suspected you had so much content to give us all at once. Do you have any plans on releasing a different gravel texture, as I have become quite partial to the gray style in default. I know that's asking a lot, seeing as that means more CTM for you to do. Just a query, though.

Thanks for your continued support of my pack! You're one of the proud few to display the sig-advertisement! However, I have no interest to get back into the alt game and I'm really not a fan of the vanilla style gravel either :/

    Anyways, small update!

This pack's CTM is now based on MCPatcher rather than Optifine. If you would like to use Optifine instead, check the /ctm/optifine/ folder in the .zip for Optifine compatible files. I also fixed a few bugs.

Are you kidding me? The link is in the 2nd ****ing line in the topic.

Also, the new update is great, although I wish you'd base your CTM features around MCPatcher rather than Optifine. MCPatcher has extended features, and it's pretty much the original when it comes to these things. The main reason I say this is because some CTM features with the pack aren't working properly, such as the sugar cane CTM, as Optifine does it backwards for some reason.

Maybe MCpatcher has changed since I last used it, but doesn't it lack vertical CTMs? As for using Optifine over MCPatcher, I think it's just the better choice. Optifine has all of MCPatcher's features and more. I don't know why sp614x changed the way CTMs are displayed, but I did mention/whine like a ***** to him about it.

Edit: God damnit, MCpatcher seems to have better CTM support now, along with the cool custom skies feature. But Optifine has so many better features aaaaaaaaaa. Not sure what I should do now.

Edit 2: I'm going to stick the optifine compatible texture files in /ctm/optifine/ for those who want to use optifine. MCPatcher compatible files will be the default.

    Quote from Grigori

    You call that an explanation?

Why are you so ANGRY? Why do people get so mad over Minecraft? Here's my reasoning; what are redstone torches used for in builds?

    A) Used in wiring up contraptions, hidden behind walls and floors so you can't see the giant hideous redstone workings powering a piston door or whatever.

B ) When they're not used solely for mechanical purposes, they're usually candle stand-ins to provide some light in a nice dark atmosphere.

Basically every use of a redstone torch I've seen is either hidden in wiring (where it doesn't matter what it looks like) or is already being used as a candle.

what is up with the jewls in the sand?

They're flowers! If you don't like them, go into into the "ctm" folder of the texture pack and delete "block12.properties".

I've seen it in-game a lot, it's even trippier in person. In revival news, ****ing Optifine needs to update! I've got a massive update ready to release but it's half broken in every version of Optifine. The amount of CTM things I have made is insane and it's a damn shame they can't be fully utilized yet. I don't know if sp614x is waiting for 1.3 to drop or what, but I may just release this without fully working CTMs.

Also my sci-fi texture pack is actually coming out soon. It's a full on creative texture pack (sorry, no survival version) meant to accommodate any sci-fi build someone would want to make. I expect to see some amazing things built with it, it's even more extensive than voxelbox's deep space texture pack. It will make for some amazing adventure maps as well.

But what did I mean by extensive? Well...

I've customized all the biomes to let players create about 6 distinct planet types, with 2 more biomes left blank in case texture savvy players want to make their own planet type. A wide variety of metals and planet blocks let players whether they want to build GRIMDARK alien-esque environments, or crazy colorful ones like Avatar.

CTM has been utilized to add 28 more blocks to the game and add multiple uses to each block. What do I mean? Well one of the blocks is an extendable microwave when placed horizontally, but when placed on it's own it's a coffee maker. I've made enough distinct decorative blocks / tech stuff to allow any kind of sci-fi room you could want (armories, medbays, botanical gardens, robotics, engineering, the list goes on...)

I'm going to keep testing it for now and hopefully get some pictures up soon.

I believe that bug happens when switching between another texture pack that has a different lighting texture. You have to restart Minecraft if you get it.
