Definitely stick with the X4. You'd be hard pressed to find a better rubber dome keyboard.
For the mouse, probably either the Logitech G400 or Razer Deathadder.
Don't bother upgrading your CPU yet; the money is better spent elsewhere.

Lowered the CPU to something that is still good enough for gaming for a few years, and gotten a full-sized, higher quality motherboard, and a generic dual channel ram kit.
Swapping a better CPU for one with a deprecated chipset?
Hrmmm...
Keyboard is terrible.
Should consider a better monitor with that budget.
What's with the 250GB Caviar Blue? Just get a Barracuda 2TB.
CPU is locked, shouldn't be after looking at all those fans.
Have you looked at the NZXT Switch 810 for the case? It looks prettier.
No headphones?
Have you gave Windows 8 a proper look? It's actually quite good.
I have a K90 and it's pretty good, but not the best - and the K95 is just around the corner.
Something like a Ducky Shine II w/ Browns and an armrest would be better, unless you need macro keys (I thought I did, but turns out they're rather useless for me, as in the time it takes to reach out, find and press one is longer than it is to type manually).
For the mic, a Blue Yeti would definitely suffice, but if you want a "headset", go with a Modmic, as Wolley suggested.
Look at "Audio Technica ATH-AD700" for the headphones.
They sound amazing and are by far the most comfortable I've worn in my life.

I definitely recommend snagging it if you plan on installing a HD texture pack, as it looks lovely with one.

That stuff is a pain.

Then I have to lower the quality or refresh the page to fix it.
Not sure what's been going on with Youtube's speeds lately.

I think I'll stick with PC this generation.

It's not like they have vulnerable servers like SONY.
Either way, the new Kinect is an amazing piece of technology, whether it's being used correctly or not.

Just tape the cables together, or use cable-ties or heat-shrinks.

I dare say it's better than botnet in it's current state.
Firefox destroys it like it does every other browser, however.

That alone is enough reason to get it.
But it might be a good idea to wait for the refresh; I've heard that a 1920x1200 model with an S4 Pro is coming out soon.

Crazy how stable it is; possibly even more so than the stable release of FF.
Does botnet's version of adblock block youtube ads yet?

I have a ModMic and it's excellent.
Worlds better than my old Zalman ZM-Mic1.
