This server is FAR from 'mature'. The admin spent time cussing out someone who was supposed to be banned but another admin unbanned him (i dunno why.). In stead of rebanning him, he cussed him out for a good 10 minutes. Why?
[TUTORIAL] How-to-Build a Neat-Looking Tunnel/Cave System
Things you will need:
Pickaxe, Stairs, Torches, Shovel (if necessary)
Step 1: Find a place you want your tunnels to be. (i.e.: Inside your house, outside, etc.)
Step 2: Dig a 2x2 Hole.
Step 3: Place Stair (of your choice) in one of the edges.
Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 but curve the stairs left/right (depending on which direction you want it to go).
Step 5: Repeat steps 2-4 and place a torch underneath the 1st stair.
Step 6: Repeat steps 2-4 until it wraps all the way around so you can see the torch you placed. Now place another torch underneath the stair that has the 1st torch above it.
Step 7: Repeat steps 2-6 until you get to the desired layer. (For this tutorial, I went to layer 14 [For diamonds]).
Step 8: Remove blocks adjacent to the staircase.
Step 9: Remove blocks adjacent to those that you had just removed.
Step 10: Make 2x2 gaps in the center of each wall. Place torch on left side of each gap.
Step 11: Mine in straight lines only mining in the 2x2 gap. If you come along an ore or a cave, Mine it and cover the hole up. Place a torch on the left side every 5th row you mine. (You can stretch each tunnel forever!)
That's pretty much it. You'll come along plenty of ores and caves. I use this system all the time and it never fails. Post pictures of your own variations/designs of this system. I hope this helps you find plenty of ores at any level.
