May 8, 2011So today is Mothers' Day! What are you all doing for your Mom on this lovely occasion?Posted in: General Off Topic
I'm currently verifying plans to take her to her favorite restaurant tonight for dinner(No, I'm not dating her, it's just fun to do these things now and then). I was hoping this thread could continually(today, anyways) be added to, in hopes that other people might get some ideas from here. :3

Come on, the animals in Minecraft aren't even real.
Just because I kill animals in Minecraft doesn't mean I practice animal abuse in real life.
I find lighting pigs on fire the fastest and easiest way to get cooked porkchops.
No wood, coal, or anything used, except for good ol' flint and steel.
This. I live on a farm, I have a cow, plenty of chickens, and I've been around plenty of sheep. Never once have I wanted to punch a cow on the face for fun. Minecraft is a game! Just go with it. :3

I'd like to swim more, but I'm a really skinny insecure guy whos afraid to be made fun of :tongue.gif:
Don't be! I'm a skinny guy, and I love swimming! Sure it's embarrassing at times, but trust me, you'll get over it. I have friends who are decently ripped, and we go swimming together. It just takes some courage to accept who we are. (And more incentive to work out) :wink.gif:
Working out is really not that much of an issue, i have in the past, although i do admit - Yes i gave up.
I went to a sports school, got instructions on what exercises would be best to do and all that, but i just plain hated doing it, i never enjoyed it.
The reason i started working out in the first place, is because others wanted me to, not because i wanted to.
I still do a few exercises at home, just to feel better about myself, but hardly enough to actually make me look any better.
I've gotten told in the past that people dont get why I'm this skinny when i eat so much. ( I pretty much eat all day long, mostly unhealthy which is probably the problem )
It's a pain, i dont expect to get in the best shape ever, I'd just like some more fat on me.
Same story here. I'll eat junk food all day if my Mom would let me :smile.gif:
But I changed my eating habits lately, and combined with working out, I'm seeing some improvements finally.
It's an uphill battle, but I think it'll be worth it :biggrin.gif:

No, I didn't watch it fully yet. But most of these are the same thing. I know the whole deal about how everything became more complex, and we evolved smarter, etc. But what none of these videos mention, is how everything came to be. I think I'm de-railing this thread, so I'll stop here. I hope you all see my point, though.
Personally, it's my opinion that theism or creationism isn't disproved by evolution (that argument is horrible) or abiogensis.
I believe in God, and and I believe what he says through the Bible. And in the Bible, he clearly states that he created Man in his own image. Not some basic mud or the like. I don't see how a believer can merge these 2 beliefs and agree with both.
