What could cause craftbukkit to generate 5 extra worlds? New players spawn in Kalimdor, but the server makes 5 unnecessary maps: world, world_nether, world_the_end, kalimdor_nether, and kalimdor_the_end. Help? It would probably speed up my server if I could make these permanently go away.

Possibly because "world," "world_nether," and "world_the_end" are in the multiverse-core .yml files (check the plugins folder). They can be removed. I don't think you can simultaneously get rid of kalimdor_nether and kalimdor_the_end though. There has to be a "the_end" and "nether" somewhere, either as part of "world" or "kalimdor" or some other map.

Oh cool thanks. Will there be configuration files for the CA-Teleport and CA-Static also?

They are very, very simple plugins. They have no config files and very limited commands. I plan to make them more user-friendly in the future, but for now, they just exist.

Okay, so I can tell you a little bit more about what you will need to setup a server. You will need:

    - The latest version of CraftBukkit
    - The Multiverse-Core plugin

Two additional plugins will be included in the download:

    - CA-Teleport, which teleports players across altitude boundaries
    - CA-Static, which stops blocks from updating (e.g. water flow, grass growth, etc.)

All three plugins should be extracted to the /plugins folder for Bukkit. Configuration files for Multiverse will be included in the download.

Once your server is running, new players should appear in Kalimdor near the Barrens / Durotar border. You should be able to use Multiverse commands to swap between worlds, e.g.

    /mvtp Kalimdor
    /mvtp Azeroth

Specific waypoints will not be included in the beta release, but you should be able to create your own using Multiverse.

The initial release will have EK / Kalimdor, excluding the Exodar or Silvermoon.

I don't know who that person is but don't worry I'm not that mean (or famous) =p

    Good luck!
I would like to ask, it being a 2 gigabyte download as far as I can remember you saying, through which channel will it be downloaded?
    (dropbox, mediafire, etc.)
Congrats on all your hard work :)

I'm going to try to release it using bittorrent.

I'm cutting it close, but I'm going to try to get it out on Sunday. I leave at 4 AM on Monday morning to catch a plane, so it will be pretty tight. If I can't make it in time, it will have to wait until the following week.

I've added ground clutter to many of the zones:

Hopefully I will have enough time to check it before release. The conversion is based on abbreviations found in the filenames (e.g. gra = grass, flo = flower, etc.) so it's not guaranteed to be foolproof.

Really EPIC! May I obtain permission from you to do cinematic pictures of this map as part of my cinematic gallery project? It would be perfect for stuff like that! You may also use the pictures for publicity if you want to :D

When the map is released, I hope lots of people will take pictures and videos of it. Taking screenshots is actually pretty time consuming and I appreciate other people helping out =p

How does your tool work then?

It directly converts from adt/wmo/m2 into mca. There is an intermediary where models are represented as a set of triangle / uv coordinates, but that's not stored as a file, it just exists within the program.
