    I'm currently working on a map, and am making an area that includes vines. A lot of vines, that have to grow over a very long time. Is there any way i can speed this up? I thought sethbling made a filter, but he didn't. Is there any mcedit filter to make vines grow, or a mod that lets them grow at 10 000% speed or something?

    problem with spawners on back is, they have to be the minecart ones (afaik). So you, if you beat a mob, you give the player a movable spawner. That's an easy instant-grinder, expect farming spawners giving the player to much xp to easy....

    Still working on brown wool, gameplay is almost done except for the wool room... It's in a square room now, i'll try to add scenery but not so good at it :(

    E: darn it really? Same style as second screen. Different gameplay it seems though. I'll make it void then :P

    Yeah just got red wool on kaizo caverns. First map completed.
    Have been running around like a madman a long time in the intersection 3 area's before black wool. Why is red wool behind black wool? just to make me run around?

    I'm working on a map, and have got most of it planned out now. Got the mob spawners mostly there, the setup etc. Next thing: landscape. But i can't get it right. Made a top-down view on paper, spend a few hours on it in mcedit, result after trying again and again is just terrible. Are there any good tuts on just landscaping? I've seen a lot of mcedit tutorials, but most are just filters etc. and i know how that works. Just cant get a single mountain or jungle done, and i don't want to use standard minecraft generation.

    Can't use world-edit or voxel sniper due to technical issues atm... Any ideas on how to get my landscape done?

    BTW: excuse me if this is the wrong place for this thread...

    Having the same problem at IM. Just went to all the skylights now, and decided to setup a base at Intersection I. Needed 4 times to carry all the loot from Skylight C to intersection I. And that map is NOT easy...

    I've been playing Infernal sky II the last few days, and am halfway the monument or so (need seven more wool and only diamond block yet). Just cleared the ghost town in less then 20 minutes, but it will now take my hours to get all the loot back to my base at the VM, sort it, decide what to throw away and then go on to the next area. Why does it take me so much time to transport loot, and such less time to secure wool?

    I'm working on a map right now, and got my first (yeah!) dungeon done. Well. it's build. I got the spawners, and the loot is fixed. It feels really unbalanced though, as soon as i enter the dungeon I die. However, i'm a noob on fighting. I really enjoy mapmaking, but just can't fight mobs as well as most minecraft players. So, a simple question, what would you call "balanced"? How do other mapmakers balance their dungeons? I feel like my dungeon is more harder then it feels, since i know where to go, what to avoid, where the spawners are etc.

    Any good guides on balancing your map? Can't find them...

    Epic maps vechs!
    Started out on IM, didn't like the much loot, was more running, replacing my base and securing stuff then fithing :( So i decided to try Sea of flames II, really liking it! Just got white wool today and died a couple times at those *rages* spider spawners in the second dungeon. dead count: about 10

    So i just started setting up a 3x3 mineshaft with 1x2 tunnels every 4 blocks to the left and right, and a minecart track in the middle. Any ideas on how to make the 3x3 shaft look good? Can't use wood because i'm at y:10, so it wil burn if lava is nearby.
    Only thing i came up with is full smooth stone with glowstone in the ceiling, looks really plain though....

    How does nether portal creation and linking work? Just went into the nether and came out about 140 blocks away, 60 blocks down by going back through the same portal. Deleted both overworld portals, went back to the nether by building another one 20 blocks of my first portal, and came in at the exact same spot in the nether. Went back, came back about 10 blocks away of my second (first generated) portal, 50 blocks up. Anyone able to explain this, and tell me how to link my overworld portal to my nether portal? Don't like swimming 200 blocks in the ocean if i want to go to the nether...
