Yeah it's kind crappy now though, sad to say. When you resize an image it tends to get pixelated (even using the smart object option), especially when you make it so small (400 pixels high -> 100 pixels). Had to slap some blur on there, but ey, just trying to get the word out that my map is coming together slowly... =P
Try keeping the ratio and filling up the edges with black....
Is it annoying to put Wide-area ghast spawners in walls? I have a giant ravine, a pathway going along the walls and want ghast spawning, but dont like placing ghast spawners in mid air. Close to the wall the spawning space is just not enough and you see the giant ghast spinning...
Good job! I wish there was a way for mapmaker to retexture without resource packs.
I don't. That would make things a giant mess i guess. I really don't want to use texture packs, because i want to know what block is what. If mapmakers can change that, it would distract me and be annoying only...
Just realized this, a mob dropping the fire block, so you can craft chain armour and have unlimited "flint and steels". Have never seen it before and because of that I think it has a flaw I didn't see. Any ideas or is it ok?
The use of a enchanting table, iron and diamond gear gives the player a huge boost during a CTM map, ofcourse. In your personal opinion, when do you think, (what order), do you think the player should gain acess to enchants, iron ore, etc.
Sorry if someone else has asked/discussed this before :l
I don't think you have to worry about iron/diamond gear to much.It isn't all that good without enchanting. So iron, limited diamond, enchanting, tons of diamond (maybe renewable?) for the final challenge.
Try replacing the quartz with sandstone or stone brick, quartz looks too polished.
Also, the light gray (?) clay doesn't go well with the other clay colors, try mixing some dirt in instead.
dirt has a texture. Tried soulsand, sand, dirt and all of those block, even brown clay, but than the canyon look is no longer there and it becomes more of a area where things can grow
i'll try the sandstone out, bricks look gray and can't find nice pillars of those
@Inferachnid I prefer the cobble, although it might be interesting, as others have said, to try out nether brick fences as well! Or even mossy walls? If you think it's too grey, that is.
Go to the mods folder in your version, then spc, craftscripts. Put them there.
Put 1.6.1SPC folder in your versions folder.
Delete your libraries and place the new libraries folder in your .minecraft folder (replacing existing libraries folder).

Builders block? I call it that at least. Try play some maps and watch some youtubers. That gives me a lot of inspiration most times

That's way too small. The flatland is a good idea, but looks strange in the size i'm using....
Thanks a lot for the sandstone tip! It looks great!

Looks very cool However, the block combo on the walls/roof looks a bit strange. I suggest you make those full stone...
