I'm sorry, but I'm not much of an expert on mods. =P If you followed the instructions in the first post and you're using the most recent builds of both the server and the client, there's not much I can do for you. Maybe someone else will, though.
I have a waypoint that was created from scratch after the most recent update. It has a tele stacked on top of it and so far I've gotten a 2/3 ratio of waypoint breackage upon teleporting to it. I'm trying to figure out a rhyme or reason to it but I haven't yet.
I'm having the same problem, with waypoints (seemingly) randomly breaking when I teleport to them. I tried to move them around so that they have open air on top of them, but that didn't help. =P They still look intact, and right-clicking their centers actually re-establishes the waypoint, so I'm not sure why they're breaking.
Heads up: it seems the launch.sh script is encoded using CR-LF end-of-line characters, which makes my Terminal quite sad. =P
I found the cause easily when I got this error, but if others are wondering why it won't run - with the error message being something like "/bin/sh^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory", this may be the problem. To solve it, I used NotePad++ on my Windows comp to convert the EOL characters (Edit>EOL Conversion>UNIX Format) and /then/ FTP'ed it to my Ubuntu-based server.
P.S: Thanks a lot for the update, I'm really pleased with SimpleServer. =D
You can only have one waypoint with a particular signature, but any number of teleporters. This means that if you build a teleporter with the same signature as the waypoint at your hub, then it will connect there, if the tier requirements are met.
YEAH! Thanks to your comment, I tried again a figured it didn't work because I was trying to activate the Teleporter by right-clicking the already-activated waypoint under it. =P
Yay! I just made one near a construction site and it works great! Sure, some cobblestone gets lost due to lava, but it still beats going to the strip mines. =)
The ability to disable undesired runes, as well as limit them to only a single tier (and maybe scale the effectiveness (charges/duration)) would probably make this mod usable, in my opinion, but right now it just seems too ill-balanced for me to want to keep it on our server.
I'm not sure if you can scale them, but you can blacklist undesired runes or whitelist the ones you want. See the first post, under the heading "Runecraft Administration". =)
I absolutely LOVE this mod! Teleporters became a necessity now that dying brings you back to the spawn, so I installed it and I am very impressed! Thanks! =D
I only have one question about it. The search function seems to be down for me, so maybe this has already been answered - I read pages and pages of this thread without finding any mention of this - but is there a way to link multiple teleporters to the same waypoint? It would make it easier to build a Teleport Hub - just make teleporters to the Hub's waypoint, and from the Hub you can go anywhere a waypoint has been set.
I crashed mere seconds after I downloaded the executable for my girlfriend. Right after it finished downloading, I opened it it and it couldn't connect to the website! =P Talk about timing.
UPDATE: Notch just tweeted that the server should be back up soon. =)
I really enjoyed reading this! Maybe we should start a small group of MineCraft fanfiction writers... I haven't written anything big (or as good) yet, but I sure would like to try and share it with others!

I showed it to my family and coworkers, and everyone is amazed at how much is making out of this. =D

Makes backups?
Has a whitelist feature?
Blocks specific blocks?
YAY! This is exactly what I was looking for! =D
Thanks a lot! =D

Wouldn't that be more efficient because you don't have to connect your tunnels? Or was there a reason to do so?
EDIT: Ninja'd =P I approve, benofdoom. (:happy.gif:)
