posted a message on Can someone try running Minecraft PE on Google Glass?
Glass displays a screen in that transparent rectangle you see in the press pics- the top right corner of your vision has an overlay of sorts that can display information. It will not display the screen across your full vision.

posted a message on Better Than Wolves Total Conversion!
After a rather frustrating evening mucking around in the .jar files of a vanilla MC folder, I eventually got BTW to run, with a distinct sense of accomplishment. A few ingame days later, that accomplishment has vanished to be replaced by the thought of- "why did I ever install this bloody thing"

Funny thing is, I haven't died yet. I know it's just a matter of time though. With a good source of food and a direction in mind (I headed out from my original jungle spawn, heard a howl in the night, and promptly turned around and went the other way) I sincerely doubt I'll survive more than a few more days, but it has definitely renewed for me that sense of wondrous terror I had in the first nights of vanilla MC, years ago now when I first picked up the game. Even then, I refused to look over the wiki for the sake of not spoiling it. Again, I'll turn to the wellspring of information when it becomes too much, but for now? I am surviving. And very much so looking forward to the tiers of technology beyond the Stone Age.

That just means I'm going to have to swallow my heart and venture into the darkness, though. What better way to face our fears...

Thank you for this, FC. I'm loving every minute of it. Glad I was able to pick it up as you polished up the early survival to suit the rest of the game- but if you'll excuse me, I'm going to have to go replace those suspended dirt slabs with fences or something.

EDIT: Aha! Figured out the recipe for mushroom soup, damn you for making this intuitive! I'll bet I can keep going without the wiki for a while yet. We'll see.

Mm. Thank you for that, it just gets me excited. I really have needed a NewGame+ in Minecraft, hopefully a variety of dimension mods can provide that.

How close is Angry Pixel to the Aether mod team? I'm imagining a sort of community in the dimension mod teams- hierarchies of information, injokes related to coding...

Looks like most of the information on Aether II is pretty scarse. Mods for Minecraft has a blog post here, but it's definitely still in development... if you'll remember, the original Aether mod had that same sort of "dunno when we're releasing" mindset to it- eventually everyone was taken by surprise when it did come out.

There's a distinct feeling about Minecraft that I really miss- too much time in Creative mode, managing servers and figuring out every aspect of the game has taken it away from me, stripped it from my mind. That feeling is one of wonder- of the discovery that simple exploration gives to the adventurer, the survivor of a thousand worlds, fighting against the tide of death by the hair of a diamond's power.

The Betweenlands has inspired that wonder within me again.

Take your time with this World between Worlds... for I, and many others, will be watching.

E: I do have a question. As I'm reading more into the development of this dimension, the information may already be there, but is there any aspects of corruption that go along with the world- like, portals natural-made in the overworld, changing overworld blocks, decreasing the efficiency of certain actions taken by the player, or (Aether forbid) some nature of the Betweenlands' portal that has an adverse or grey-goo style effect on it's surrounding overworld area? Spreading corruption in Minecraft is a rather destructive and interesting aspect of some mods, and it would seem appropriate for this one.

I do appreciate that most if not all of the screenshots I'm looking at are seemingly entirely black. Fear of the darkness, such a wonderful concept...

...and it's necessary for it to be dark enough for them to spawn. You've got a dark spot or an open door somewhere. If it becomes a problem, please consult your local CreepBuster- oh, nevermind, they were just eaten by endermen. We'll get back to you on that.

Ender Pearls should teleport you to your bed from elsewhere.

    This is perfect.

To be honest? You guys are ridiculous. I had an ear-to-ear grin when I read Notch's article on 'fear'. The mob isn't quite as scary as I expected it to be, but it still seems to fit the bill.

These guys will add a lot to the game, I believe. Keep in mind that this is a "Creative" "Survival" game, mates. From MC's main bloody page: "Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine. At night monsters come out, make sure to build a shelter before that happens."

The solution to your fears? Sleep. Sleep will do it. I'd personally prefer a "teleport" at the onset of dawn, despawning them, instead of an ignoble death by fire. I'd find it cool for these to be considered the "souls of the lost", and perhaps they faintly remember what it is to build...

Just remember. Herobrine is still somewhere out there. And perhaps he's the one to have released these Lost Ones.

    Later~ Ross

A Geiger Counter simulation would be integrated into the item cleaning water conveyor. It would randomly cycle to use a piston to push random items into lava as you dropped them in to clean them. The result would be a 'test' to destroy contaminated items.

I haven't seen Golden do anything wrong. I'd say we don't need to take offensive action for old insults. That's what makes rivals tear down servers like this one.
