Since I'm fantastic at running into issues when making minigames, heres another one:
I have a tellraw command set up to allow players to skip to the next wave of zombies if they choose. However, when an un-opped player clicks "Yes," since they are not opped the command simply doesn't run. Is there a reasonable work around for this?
Forgot to quote you, see my thread thing above. -

Chat:
/scoreboard objectives add Trigger trigger
Command Blocks:
/execute at @a[scores={Trigger=1..}] run kill @e[type=zombie]
/scoreboard players reset @a[scores={Trigger=1..}] Trigger
/scoreboard players enable @a Trigger -

What's the point of this post?
Why only adult Minecrafters?
I've too many questions.
Hello! I'll try and answer best I can see it to elaborate on the above answer from my own point of view. As you get into your twenties, many people get more involved with schooling, work, and/or starting families, and have much less time for playing, some even dropping it as though they feel it's something to be moved on from or only done by those without responsibilities (which is absolutely not true, but the lack of time due to other things definitely can be true). Therefore, it can seem like it's dominated by teenagers or the younger half of twenty-somethings. As someone getting into their thirties now, I am not in any way, shape, or form distressed about my age. To the contrary, I find a bit humorous when someone maybe ten years or so younger than me seems surprised by my age as though I am so old (I mean, I sort of understand that I have another half their age atop their own age, but I get the impression many young twenty-somethings I've encountered seem to act like that age range is literally "the" point of life or something I guess, and I fear for their ability to cope past 30 if they fear 30+ is truly "old", but I digress). That being said, while I am comfortable with these things about me, it still definitely stands out from other players' reactions when the subject of age does come up, so I definitely understand why some other adult gamers might try and seek out others. After all, most just probably take it for granted most people on the other side of that screen are in their teens or early twenties, but you absolutely never know. So, usually these threads are trying to find "like-minded" (in this case, like-aged) players, not to discriminate against younger players! While some adults might sometimes want to simply find other adults to try and play with, very few probably have anything against the younger players enjoying themselves. After all, that is all we are doing, so we definitely undertsand.
Also, the bit about gaming being dominated by younger players will probably change a bit with time. Games arguably really took off in the 1980s/1990s, and with the dropping cost of PC hardware and games and the massive growing of the market in the 1990s through the 2000s and on especially, a lot of younger players who got involved from back then keep playing (whereas for the older generations, they didn't grow up on it, although there's definitely some that jumped into it anyway!). Even today I think the average age is said to be thirty-something by some counts, although that probably counts more casual games (like web and mobile games), perhaps precisely because many adults lack as much time to play. -

I wouldn't run a server as my first choice. I put in 50 hrs. of work this week, and 11 hr. days make for some very long days. But it was how the situation worked out for my wife and me, and we have a great group. Running a server isn't for everyone. It's much better if one can find an agreeable group and server to hang out with.
well i am a disabled veteran so i have the time to do it. i am making my server for people like us who respect the work people have put in -

Elite_Digger posted a message on Any other adult minecrafters out there?Posted in: Discussion50 yr old here....My son got me into this game about 5 years ago and I'm still stuck on it. Took him the longest time to convince me to buy it and play with him. While I thought the gameplay was interesting, I thought the graphics were cheap and cheesy looking. Fast forward 5 years and now he doesn't play anymore but I run my own LAN bukkit server with a few plugins (Stables, VeinMiner, Silk Spawners, etc) to make things interesting. Also swear by the Sphax texture packs including the damaged items and the Christmas version. Still enjoy the game very much.

Nether portals "work as intended in Vanilla". If you prefer to run a server with a mod, that is an option WHEN you run a server and have control over that.
Otherwise, http://ilurker.rooms.cwal.net/portal.html and other online "nether portal calculators" are your friend when you do NOT have control over mods, or you wish to play on a Vanilla server, or you are playing on Realms. When I'm doing anything involving Nether portals I spank the heck out of that link above. "Indispensible" in my opinion.
In someone's opinion, portals may be "broken" and "you shouldn't have to mess around" and so on. In *vanilla", portals function as intended, and when they do not, it creates a huge problem for various reasons such as with https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-89928 which would "insta-kill" players with suffocation damage or such. The portals work as they do as a "best simple compromise" on the part of the devs. If it doesn't meet your requirements, you are looking for a plugin or mod, yes.
But knowing and accepting the "how" and "why" of Vanilla Nether Gate behavior is the beginning of wisdom.

I didn't want to overly complicate a discussion of @minecraftmojang646's "how do you set it up on a server?" question by bringing that wrinkle up, but yes.

@ChaosGamerElite, http://bdcraft.net/community/unofficial-addons/ has "add-ons" using Optifine with the same method. I'm considering replacing the basic sword and ax options in ItemBound with the higher resolution BDCraft items, then sending it to the BDCraft Add-ons forum as a "patch" for ItemBound. Nobody has "exclusive ownership" over the method Optifine provides, but ItemBound totally rocks in making use of it.

At least I've not heard anything about twerk mods yet.

https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/villagemarker/files is alive, and "should" support 1.11. I'm running 1.11.2, and I plan to send a tip to eruvanos in gratitude for the 1.11 update and to request for the 1.11.2 update. Throwing money in the direction of a developer is cheaper than me trying to learn all of everything to do it myself.
I will fetch the 1.11 LiteLoader mod in single-player, but I can't test the server plugin as I'm already on 1.11.2.

I look forward to the 1.10.2 update to the LiteLoader WorldEditCUI. For the time being, I can login under 1.10.0 to no harm for the CUI.

I keep minecraft music turned off. Every once in a long while I get music playing anyway despite the setting having it turned down, and the master volume doesn't appear to work to make it quiet. There is no music box in the area. Is this a known My wife plays, and it would start for her computer without starting on mine, so it appears to be a totally random thing.
Is there a bug report on this already I can't find? Is it a known thing? I can only shut it off by closing Minecraft PC and restarting.

Ok, I reported this as https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-91271, and I was referred to https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-83488
The "workaround" is to change the compatibility of the shortcut you are using to access Minecraft, and set it "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings".
If you don't mind voting for this on MC-83488, it would be nice to simply have this problem fixed. The next launcher update might break it, and I'll have to remember how to do it all over again.
