It would make BBOR "complete" same as the other non-spawning structures you mentioned. And, of course, it makes it easier to *spot* a village at a distance, even if it doesn't show the big, glowing ball as in the past. Iron farms still exist in the code, but I'm not clear at all off-hand what triggers Iron Golem spawning. It would be useful if this mechanic were built into BBOR to show a valid iron golem spawn point, but since I'm still not clear on what that is, it may still not make sense to display it at this time.

I note that with the Bukkit plugin, my Spigot server runs BBOR just fine with the Fabric client. I'm letting my players know to grab the latest Fabric mod and look here for more info on what this does.

I also note a village we've built on does not show the structures or placement, and no village info is shown. I also note "villages" are still an iffy thing, still subject to change, and I wouldn't blame @irtimaled at all if he simply yanked out all that code until a) something that makes sense can be coded, and B) that thing that makes sense in code can be displayed in some way that makes sense and is useful to the BBOR users. But everything ELSE looks happy. Enjoy!

Something specific appears to be triggering this that the devs did not catch That's why it is important to try to note what led up to this so they can duplicate it.

We've talked about getting cardboard cutouts of a maintenance guy at work because sometimes our equipment only seems to fail when someone able to fix it isn't looking.

@TheMasterCaver, if the server is *lying* to your client as an anti-cheat measure, you are correct. There really is nothing @beastbear500 can do. I also agree with @webrosc there is nothing anyone *should* do to assist. It's my POV that...

    1) Everyone should know and follow the rules of the server they are on, find a different one with rules that suit, or start their own server.

    2) Everyone is entitled to be aware of available *tools* for solving problems with Redstone in Single Player. X-ray is one of those tools (along with Spectator Mode) to figure out how things work or DO NOT work, as the case may be. But your rights in Single Player DO NOT transfer over to Survival Multi-Player (SMP).

    3) I enjoy playing on a server that has the following set of rules: If you "cheat" and ruin the game for yourself, I'll be disappointed. If you "cheat" and ruin the game for someone *ELSE*, I'll be annoyed, and I usually express my annoyance with perma-bans.

Life is simply too short for *me* to worry about someone else cheating, but if you are going to play on a server that bothers to mask ore spawning with anti-cheat AND YOU KNOW THIS, you really need to be honest enough with yourself to find another server that lets you do what you want. Anything else is going to be a pain to the server staff. Hopefully they have perma-bans on cheaters.

Port-forwarding is risky. Others may be able to respond, but as I'm doing the same thing, "Just a server for my friends and I," you may find it worth your effort to check out Realms for a month *or* any number of very good service providers. If you are technically inclined, you may prefer spigotmc.org or any number of other Minecraft server software packages.

In short, though I *could* port-forward a Minecraft server from my machine, a service provider is cheap enough and port forwarding is such a risky hassle in my opinion, I don't bother. But if you choose to port forward anyway, be wary of giving out enough information on your setup trying to get it to work you don't put yourself at risk of an attack.

OH! One other thing I just remembered: If you are playing *bedrock*, you *can* invite others to your game without any tampering with your firewall at all, and no "realms". While it would be the Bedrock version and NOT Java, it does work, and no firewall dinking or having to rent a server just to dink around with a friend or two.

https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCL-11001 has been reported. The fix is to follow the directions to roll it back. But if you can *confirm* as much detail as you can as to what happened to get the "no login", perhaps it will help the Devs figure out what's tripping this thing. Thanks for voting on this bug and confirming it's a real one. :)

You may *IF* and ONLY IF the server is running the CraftBukkit plugin on a CraftBukkit/ Spigot server. If the server ops are "nice" enough to give you the seed, you can start a copy of the game in SinglePlayer with the same seed and see where things are. HOWEVER, BBOR is "very cheaty", and on larger or more competitive SMP servers, they'll never give out the seed, never mind run this as a plugin.

I posted several weeks ago with a crash log on the Bukkit plugin, but this may have been missed. The client side appears to work just fine even in 1.14.2, so I look forward to the update. Should I try again, or is there a Bukkit 1.14.2 to be released soon? I didn't see it on the files page.

I can't see anyone wanting to run 1.14.1, so it would appear a waste of effort. I just hope 1.14.2 release resolves the game-breaking issues to where we can get on with 1.15 to come.

    Scratch that: https://twitter.com/slicedlime/status/1132210996582506496?s=20

Quote: A small FYI: 1.14.2 is not the last 1.14 release. We're focusing on releasing fixes for the most critical bugs (like things that cause permanent world damage or kill you) first.

Which.. Ooookayyyyyyy… and it isn't SlicedLime's "fault," I've no interest in shooting the messenger. But WOW I wish Mojang had a better handle (and priority) on these things closer to when they were reported some months ago.

Thank you very much for your detailed explination @Romaq, it is very much appreaciated! was kind of wondering if the village it self affects the spawn rate of iron golems dependant on the diameter between them

There are new videos out for both Bedrock and Java Editions on Iron Farms. I'm pretty shaky on the new mechanics, but the info is out there. You should *test*, of course, on a private game to make sure what they are doing still applies to the *current* Minecraft version. If someone could digest the new mechanics and message for us (and irtimaled, of course) how BBOR can bring these new mechanics to visual life, it could really help this product out. :) Now we just need to know the Official New Forum to continue the conversation. :(

The village *structures* are still revealed, but the villager *mechanics* are … odd. I can't speak for @irtimaled, but I strongly suspect all the old "villager" code was worthless and had to be pulled, and the new mechanics have yet to be coded. The prior sense of displaying a village "center" may not make any sense at all. Doors, for example, are no longer relevant. I'm not sure of the village "boundary" shown as the glowing ball of stars makes sense or is relevant.

    left
might welcome someone giving the new mechanics some serious hard thought as to what it *could* display, what makes *sense* to display, and what specific mechanics code can check to ensure it *does* display properly.

That said, village structure boxes display just fine.

I thought this would fit best in "Culture, Media & Arts", but I understand if this must be moved to a better location.

Please watch the video and read the following tweet from @thatmumbojumbo:

He has 1800 videos, about 400 of them so far are claimed by Warner Chappell. If you make YT content or watch YT content by artists such as @thatmumbojumbo, please follow this situation.

https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-145863 is unfortunately a problem. On my server we are testing out supplying ONLY compost bins, but making sure all farms are inaccessable to villagers so they won't infinitely breed and "population explode" my server. I had 450+ villagers in one village. This was VERY unhappy for us. :(

    Please check out https://www.spigotmc.org/members/smmmadden.104514/

Smmmadden maintains a Spigot Plugins page, and you should likely have BBOR listed along with the proper links and so on. Please be sure to note the CLIENT mod is necessary for the PLUGIN mod to do *anything*. Now to go test it out. :)

    --EDIT--

The Fabric version works Single-Player Fabric for 1.14.1, but I don't want my wife to break my fingers for messing up her game on the server. I'll have to try to sneak this into the Spigot 1.14.1 tomorrow night. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, and I'm gonna do what she tells me to. :-p
