I use an ad blocker already and I refuse to jump through extra hoops to make up for their poor coding. They should fix this I didn't cause anything.

Try making a support ticket about your issue: http://www.minecraftforum.net/meta/support

    That is being fixed.

Rouge, the double alert may be because someone quoted/replied to you twice in the same topic, therefore overlapping the alert but still displaying it as two. It's a feature on Xenforo aswell as Facebook.

This looks to be a bug, as it isn't related to posting.

Also note in the non-WYSIWYG editor, there's no need to shift+enter for returns.

A lot of posts were removed when some sections were deleted.

Post removal etc wouldn't decrease post count, it's a bug. Nothing is ever permanently deleted, just hidden from public view.

Can you please enlighten me as to these allegedly fixed bugs?

Post database issue converting posts to html outputs
MANY improvements to moderator and administrative interfaces

Aside from those, there are other significant performance improvements that are slowly letting us bring back features that we had to disable on the old IPB ("who's online", number of people viewing threads, etc). Cobalt also has a much larger development team so we gain the benefit of getting to add new features instead of stagnating.

Guys, if you're going to be providing feedback, keep it constructive instead of critical. Let us know what needs changing, or how something can be improved. Don't just sit there, pout, and claim it sucks. Doing so is not helpful at all and won't help the forum in any way.

The old forum worked perfectly, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I understand that a lot was changed under the hood that made the forum better, however the UI design is absolutely horrendous and it should have been kept the same. As someone who geeks out for good UI design and cringes at bad ones this forum makes me want to pop my eyes out with a plastic spoon.

The old forum had bugs lingering for years that were simply not addressed or could not be addressed. We could not reinvent the wheel there because it was a platform outside of our control. Cobalt is Curse's in-house platform which will allow for changes that need to be made take hours and days, instead of weeks and months.

Minecraftforum did a Youtube. I mean, make a new layout that is totally useless, worse than the last one, and nobody likes, but still keep it even though it hardly gets any positive feedback.

If you're going to keep this abomination at least add in a second optional dark theme for those of us who don't want to burn their eyes out reading on a light background.

If useless is a synonym for significantly less bugs and faster, then yes, totally useless.

The theme as it stands now has already undergone changes and is still very fluid in its design. MCF has never had a dark theme, so to complain that the new layout should be like the old, and be dark, is a bit contradictory.

Just a couple of things I'm noticing in regards to the status bar at the top of the page

1: The font for the red badges is a bit small and very hard to read, even on large screens:

A simple increase in the size of the font from 8px to 10px seems to make it much better:

2: It seems that customizing the settings on notifications is bugged

I'm getting multiple alerts, but then I'll open the notifications and see only one or two items (less than the number expected from the badge). Potentially might be a modtools issue, since I'm seeing that for mostly warning appeals.

What about more like a ticket support system instead?

Like you would get if you opened a ticket with a hosting company, then the admins can filter by if they have replied or not and who it is "Assigned to"?? That sounds like it would work better...

That's what CFA is now, but it's not appropriate for things such as tutorials and faq postings (which used to be able to be moved from CFA with ease).

I may have missed a statement of it, but I'm not aware of any rewarding of those titles.
