Well you looked in the right place, gbuffers_terrain.vsh is where you enable/disable waving stuff
Without any more details, my first guess would be that you're using 1.5.1 and have an AMD card.
It's a common complaint that things don't move with 1.5.1 as it's an unfinished preview, and because Karyonix uses Nvidia and can't test on AMD you're likely to get more problems with those cards.
If you're using the 1.45 Karyonix preview for 1.5.1 which needs Optifine A8, try going to page 68 of his thread and get the updated 1.45.1 version which uses Optifine B3, you might have more luck with that one.

Even with the pre-release it's not working (and optifine B3). I have a nVidia 9800 GT, so shouldnt be any issue there.

What is so baffling is that it worked previously and then I don't know why it stopped working. EVERY other effect works except the animated things + water

Is there any chance something in the minecraft video settings needs to be changed?
Is there some sort of debug file or something I can send you, if you have the time?

I must be retarded or something because I have installed SO many times.

My shaders work perfectly except I am not getting the leaf / grass / water effects at all. I installed this earlier today and they worked fine but while trying to get my performance to speed up a little (tweaking graphics options) it crashed and no longer worked. I have since re-installed multiple times and cannot get the damn trees to move.

I have attempted to go into the VSH files but they are not nicely laid out or easy to read for some reason. It SEEMS to me that there are no // in front of any of these problems, but yet they still don't function.

Am i just totally missing something super important?

two spot of particular interest:
SPAWN: is a survival island

x = 4676
y = 1061 : Decent sized village (lots of cows, pigs and chickens nearby, located near many biomes)




Please note that this was generated on large biomes, and generating it elsewise could yield... different results.

I just thought this may be interesting due to spawn being a survival island and the areas I've explored having a lot of really cool exposed stone (coal and iron ore exposed sometimes!) on flatlands.

If its not that cool... excuse me xD

Because my game loads chunks so slow, I happen to know there are some pretty extensive cave systems under the ocean biome in which you spawn. Interesting challenge to find land without ever sailing.

I definitely am. The worst part is that I'm not organized about it. So in one chest I have 20 iron blocks and sstring and all kinds of assorted thing and in another it's the same story! xD

I sometimes feel the need for everything to be consistant, but I've noticed recently that inconsistency is actually really beautiful when done right. I'm not an exceptional builder but many of my "houses" are in non-symmetrical shapes (usually an L with multiple levels that are not consistent)

Colored glass and Light would be amazing! I'm not a programer, but the coding could be... interesting..

My issue with pirating is that in some cases it COULD make the company stop producing their product. This is not to say I do not pirate (especially music, come on now) but still. The singer Lily Allen stated that this was the reason she was leaving the music business (athough, i somewhat doubt that.) So if it were the case that cracked users were causing mojang to go out of business and stop making minecraft, then yes, I would be displeased with them. That does not seem to be the case, however, so I am indifferent.
