Background Story: Nicholas was born into a simple family of fishermen. They weren't particularly affluent, but managed to get by in the jungle. His father entrusted him with the job of selling fish to their neighbours and community. Nicholas soon found he had a gift for persuading people and getting them to buy his fathers fish. He soon sold all the fish he was given and had a purse full of gold. He had never seen this much gold in one place at the same time. He instantly fell in love with the way it glowed and felt in his hands. The power that the gold contained; the potential to turn men into murders or save a life. He needed this power. He soon left home in search for more opportunities for a larger profit, and to feel the weight of gold in his hands.
It was 10 years later when Aurelia fell. Nicholas was in a dark alleyway handing a 'lucky' talisman over to a man when he heard the first earth shattering rumble. The ground shook slightly under his feet. He thought nothing of it, thinking it was just a minor tremor and that it would clear up soon. He walked out onto the main street where he stopped. Another rumble sounded and the tremor was bigger this time. Much bigger. Buildings collapsed around him and the sound of the earth breaking beneath him blended with the screams around him. He could see everyone was heading in one direction, and he followed. He didn't have a clue what was going on. He thought it might have been some wizard screwing around with everyone but quickly realized perhaps the ground breaking up was a tad too much for a practical joke. He could see what everyone was heading for now. A glowing, rippling sheet of... magic was pulsating as people jumped through it, not appearing out the other side. Nicholas ran for it, not knowing what it was, but knowing that it might be his only chance to escape. He ran through and when he opened his eyes he saw jungle. Putting two and two together he realised the sheet of magic had teleported people here. And yet all that was on his mind was how he could make a profit in this new, strange world.

Which aspect of The Rise do you think you will love most? (Classes, PvP, PvE, Economy, All, Other): I really like the idea of the economy, I love working with numbers and I reckon that I would have a lot of fun buying and selling things.
The artful placement of that wood block has me amazed. My assessment of this work of art is that beautiful,yet unorthodox placement of the dirt represents society's tendency to disregard mother nature's beautiful creations. Truly a work to be remembered.

Bio*: Carlisle was born in one of the smaller villages up in the north, where days were dry, and nights were freezing cold. Later on, he thought this might have hardened his personality up, but that was wishful thinking. Carlisle never fit in, When he was older, instead of hunting with the older males of the tribe, he stayed in his house and counted numbers. Thousands of numbers. He dreamed of going to a city where he could count everything. But eventually, war broke out and he had to fight.
They slapped a helmet on his head and an axe in his hand and pushed him and hundreds other into the fight. It was either fight, or die. Carlisle saw some of his best friends rush into the battle and die almost instantly, (Now, I could say it scarred him for life, but that is sickeningly cliche and I'd rather not.)
Carlisle decided he may as well die young, fighting, so he threw himself into battle and began to swing his axe. Each blow landed with a sickly crunch against the armour of the invaders. Red blurred his vision. After the battle he never looked at the world the same. Men were not pure of heart and righteous, they just all had a tendency to fight each other and squabble. He liked to think he was different, but after the battle, an all the people he had killed, he was just as bad. He decided he might as well live his life like a man, joining in on raids and attacks on other villages.
Now, after a while of killing lots of people, looking into their fearful eyes and ending their lives a moment later, you can expect it does not do wonders to your self-esteem. Carlisle decided he had had enough, and that he would travel to another village where he might find some small sliver of peace. He always knew he would inevitably get back into the cycle of spilling blood, but he wanted to do a little good in the world before that time came. (No, his parents aren't dead either)

Why you're signing up: I am signing up because I would love to be a part of what looks like a fantastic RPG server. I am impressed by the lore you have created, rather than just putting a few elves here and a few dwarves there.All other Rp servers I have been on have turned out as a disappointment mainly because they don't enforce RP.
Position you're applying for: I would be happy to be a builder, but on the off-chance you need a faction leader, I would be happy to help.
Previous server building/moderating experience: I've have mod experience, though not in RPG servers. If by server building you mean bukkit mods and stuff, then no, I'm hopeless with that stuff.
Previous RPG server experience: I have helped build the main city of an RPG server and I have played on countless others. I have some Rp experience, having inhabited 2 or 3 Rping sites over the past year and a half. As I said before, I'm yet to find a truly great minecraft Rping experience.
Things you're good at building: I am good at building viking architecture, and most things that contain wood, such as wooden towers and forts.
