Now working with Optifine I see (v0.2), no missing :Pig: legs, and seeing through portals looks normal now. Not sure if you found out the problem and resolved it, or something else happened, didn't feel like scrolling through 30 some pages since my last post. Now since your gravity gun mod is out, you are my favorite modder ever! Valve+Minecraft=MIND BLOWN. Though the portal gun can somehow throw blocks farther than the supercharged gravity gun can launch them... I know this isn't even v1 yet but textures for all cubes wont show up right in TMI, and blocks being sucked to the moon appear to be bedrock for a split second after starting to be turned to entities. Epic mod, looking forward to future development. :D

I did not unzip.. and ive re downloaded minecraft client and portalgun mod, turned off all other mods and i made sure i have current version of forge. im getting to the point where im just going to move on and forget about this mod.. (i dont want to do that because it looks awsome!) i havent been able to use it yet. its VERY FRUSTRATING!!! :steve_rage:

Are you using "Latest" or "Recommended" Forge build? Latest is for the pre-releases, probably not going to work for 1.4.2. Also try using the official launcher, not magic launcher.

EDIT: Read deeper into your previous posts, and found this:2012-11-07 21:58:33 [INFO] [ForgeModLoader] Attempting to reparse the mod container portalgun1.2.5v3_server.zip
. Wrong folder, a 1.2.5 mod isnt going to work on 1.4.2. :P

Since trying this mod for 1.3.2 there seems to be many bugs. The first one is all portals seem to show into the world, like xray. Second, picking up blocks is very laggy and jittery, and all pigs have 2 legs, diagnol each other, sometimes turning black. I have no errors in log, and no pics, but I do have optifine and smart moving installed. The discouragement beams and new model are nice, but bug fixes would be much more appreciated. This is still my favorite Portal mod, possibly any mod. ^_^

I have a slight suggestion for this mod, since recent updates it seems most of the time smoke bombs hardly travel at all if thrown while looking horizontally or below that, and appears to bounce around atop a single block when it does get stuck. Also a new model for grenades/bombs other than a colored cube would be nice, even it its was a 2d item. BTW thanks a ton for all the quick bug fixes and responses. :D

posted a message on Help, Server plugins?
What I use for anti-grief is LogBlock + XAMPP(for the mySQL server it requires) for recording everything, to prove of disprove of who did what when and where, even tracks environmental griefing like tree growth, liquid flow, leaf decay, enderman block taking, and creeper/tnt explosions. LWC for protecting chests, furnaces, doors, signs, and possibly a few other useable blocks through configuration. Orebfuscator, actually stops ANY xray cient from being usable, fills the non-visible ground with random ores, tnt, fake chests, but does NOT actually modify the blocks, only sends fake packets to client. If you are running a cracked server, but want to prevent anyone from logging in as anyone, then xAuth is a good choice. If you want to spy on suspicious people, Vanish No Packet makes u dissapear and even hacked clients made to bypass most vanish plugins will be fooled similarly to orbefuscator, as the server sends NOTHING that you even exist to other clients. Hope this helps some new people. :D

The firework multiplayer bug has been fixed, but I have the same problem as the above people mentioned, all blocks/items from this mod have white textures with black spots on them. I have Forge, TooManyItems, Single Player Commands, and Optifine installed.

Also like Kirbykraft60 stated there has been the weird server stuff on startup. The heres the actual log file:

THE best recording mod ever, all others lag gameplay so bad its less than 2-3 FPS even on my Alienware, but this plays at a decent 18 FPS during recording, with max graphics settings. Also all other recorders I've tried output a end result of a jerky movie, and nowhere near the quality of this. The only thing that could improve this is to allow audio recording without having to change default recording device every time to stereo mix. I think CameraStudio recorder has that function, it allows you to select audio source in game via menu overlay, something that would be nice to change settings in game in this mod. Also the fast-forward effect on the end movie that others have already mentioned is quite noticeable, and a new bug as it didnt have this problem last time I used this, 1.7.3. Also setting in the config the game time, like for slo mo works, but dropping items after moving is buggy, its like a ghost player lagging behind drops items from wherever I WAS. I personally dont use that function a lot, so it doesnt bother me, but others might use it. Anyways, awesome mod, keep up the good work. :Diamond: x 100 for you :D :D :D

    posted a message on [1.4.5] Explosives+ [PR V3.9!][Pre Release 5 1.4.5 December 2nd!]
I think I found a teeny bug, when the ballistic missiles are set to regular terrain colliding type, they still sometimes pass through a block or two. This usually happens at very close range to the stand (1-5 blocks) not sure if its intentional to allow underground missile silos. :D Anyways I love your mod but find the dispenser bug annoying for my traps. Hope it gets fixed soon in the next update. Also a suggestion for the ballistic missiles: have a option to fire straight up for X blocks before assuming the course to target (to allow deep hidden underground missile bunkers.

That is what i had before, but it was even worse, at least this way you can change the frequency :)

Oh well. I cant really complain about this awesome mod and how much its been improved in such a short amount of time compared to other mods, my favorite addition being the missiles. Maybe instead of redstone to trigger it because it is an entity maybe when it takes damage? like from a blasting cap for remote triggering? Also it would be helpful to have it travel straight up for around 10 blocks or so before beginning its path toward its targeted coordinates, this way there could be super awesome underground missile silos, without it exploding on the sides. I also cant wait for SMP support to go shoot intercontinental ballistic missiles at something other than NPC villages. :tnt: ;)

posted a message on How to catch greifers!
I find them by :steve_sneaky: following suspects around inviisbly :steve_csi: using vanishnopacket, or using a logging plugin to check griefings while i was offline then once i catch them i freeze them, demote them, revoking build rights, and rollback in front of them. After that, my admins and I use a variety of plugins to just harass them by rocketing, slapping, smiting, barraging, tping into the nether over lava :Lava: , spawning 20 cave :Spider: spiders/creepers :SSSS: at their location, etc. until they leave, then finally I ban and IP ban them. :steve_joyous:

posted a message on Help! Can't login to router
martyboy, 192.168.1.1 is not fake, it is the default gateway of about 90% of routers, including mine, its just an internal IP. Also hamachi is limiting and a security risk, port forwarding has no limits, and is more secure. Ricothegamer5, try something like http://192.168.1.1/index.html or http://192.168.1.1/index.htm, maybe http://192.168.1.1/admin

posted a message on Which IP address do I use?
You x'd out the wrong address :P nobody on the internet can connect via internal address. only the external one, which you left non x'd. Some useful info would be what model router/modem you have. Also you should leave the server-ip= slot in the server config blank. Also it is normal for only people on your wifi to be able to connect via internal IP, the 192.bla bla one. It is your internal network, you are connecting from inside. When someone else on the internet wants to connect they need to connect via your external IP, because they are outside your network. To port forward:
    1. Open command prompt on the computer the server is running on.
    2. type "ipconfig" and press enter
    3. find where it says the IPv4 address, write that down.
    4. find where it says default gateway, write that down
    5. open web browser and type in the default gateway, usually something like 192.168.1.1
    6. go to where you set up port forwarding (Look for NAT, Virtual Servers, Advanced Settings, or Gaming, they usually have the right page for port forwarding.)
    7. make a new port forward entry, put 25565 for external port start AND end, and internal port start AND end. Use TCP and UDP
    8. Where it say "server IP" or "forward to" put the IPv4 address you wrote down earlier, this tells the router to forward all data coming in through port 25565 to the IP address of the server computer.
    9. click save start your server, and go to http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ , put 25565 in the port, and click "check" if it turns up green all is good, if not, then you might have a second device that needs to be forwarded, like a modem, this needs more advanced setup.

    Hope this helps!

posted a message on Is there any way to make a minecraft server using broadband?
Just download the server and run it, since you have no router or modem, you done need to port forward. I dont think you even need to open firewall at all, when the server runs a dialog box may pop up asking to allow or deny access, just allow, and you are done.
