What flavors would be included? Will the default texture feature pepperoni? Sausage? Deluxe?
It seems like a cool idea, it does fit Minecraft due to cake. But as for the rebuttal of adding it is bad because of cuisine foods...meh. Its not replacing content or removing content. So I believe the damage to the theme is next to non-existant.
The update was hugely a large step in the right direction and I have not been able to say that for a LONG time, I hated the last 10+ updates all the way down to 1.8 Beta. This updates has its flaws like every other update, but this update utilizes even more of the endless potential of Minecraft through resource packs(perfected in this update) and the visual effects of the Super Secret Setting.
The worst thing about this update I would say...would be the removal and replacement of Red Roses. That annoys me to no end, at least have roses be co-existant with the poppies Roses have been part of Minecraft since the days of classic and its very saddening to see them go.
This is why I love Alpha; because its eternally pure and eternally modable, free from the storms Mojang calls updates.
It reminds me deeply of wurm too. (Wurm Online is a previous game made by Mojang before Minecraft, few seem to know about it, but Wurm was once worked on by Markus Perrson)

I have been looking for the same thing for a long time. No luck yet. I have thought of hosting my own, but hosting it off my computer wouldn't be as good, and I don't have the money to do it with a host (currently paying for another server). However, I do have a few old server jars, and would love to play with some people.
If you do get any luck, tell me. We could set up a server to play on if you want. Preferebly vanilla for now, as I've just started playing Alpha a bit ago and I love it. Rather not mod it until later.

Its a symbolic piece of Minecraft history that has been here since classic.
Its never a good idea to remove content that has been present and perfectly fine since the beginning of the game.

First server I played was Redshift's Oceanbuild, it was on a small bedrock spawn.
