    clearing stuff off my computer: here's a zip full of random triton stuff that i found :)

    https://www.mediafire.com/file/3kxzkbzb8dp1zqv/tritondump.zip/file

    includes:

    - some interesting style explorations

    - 'clean' versions of some textures with only flat colors and no bloom/glow effects

    - GIMP files that i can't open anymore (I roll with PS now) but i assume are also 'clean' versions

    - the 3 custom fonts i used throughout the pack

    and reminder: anyone and everyone is free to and encouraged to post any edits/additions they've made to Triton :creeperdance: by Alvoria

    if anyone has anything of theirs they'd like to have added to the main pack, plz let me know! :D

    Hey folks! I've assembled scans of a bunch of pen-and-paper concept sketches I've been meaning to share for a long time. Imgur album link below:

    Announcement:

    I revoke my previous statement about not allowing edits or continuations. You're free to do whatever you please with this pack and all its assets, you are free to make additions and edits, and you're free to upload and share the pack and said edits wherever you please. Please do! (Just promise not to pass the whole thing off as your own, okay? That's just rude).

    I think there's still a "license" zipped in the pack, which I no longer consider relevant and can be ignored. You have my thumbs-up of approval:

    Hey guys. :)

    Any regulars here still playing/texturing for Minecraft?

    I just got back into the game the other week (playing some SkyFactory 3 and watching some of the old Yogscast modpack series) after leaving it for close to a year and a half. A lot has changed! And once again, I find myself tempted to start drawin' some pixels yet again (especially with the 100-some-odd 16x textures I have lying around from a pack that I never finished).

    I'm just curious to see how things are going in the 'texture pack scene.'

    Hoi Hoi

    I absolutely love this pack to bits, it's a prize piece of work and make no mistake.

    However, I am running Minecraft on three computers, 2 desktops (which my sons use) and 1 on a laptop... and this pack only seems to work on the laptop, which is an Alienware, but nothing special and certainly not as stonky as the desktops.
    So why does the pack only work on the laptop and not the desktops? It's a mystery. But perhaps some of you awesome peeps out there have the solution for me?
    Desktops run MC 1.7.10 (for MCHeli resons) and then when kids are in bed I load it up into 1.11.2.

    Laptop is always in 1.11.2 (except occasionally I'll run 1.10)
    Forge on all three computers. Plenty of RAM going about this house so mem is not the problem.
    All three systems are running Win 10. .....
    Any Ideas?

    PS. sorry to hear that you are discontinuing this fantastic pack... but life calls eh :D

    Hi there,

    I dropped support for versions prior to 1.8 quite a while ago. 1.7.10 used a completely different format for things, so most artists don't bother back-porting to anything as old as that. Sorry!

    BTW, I've updated the pack to work with 1.11+ without complaining about being outdated. :D

    I mean above the stuff you just showed me. Don't you have to write display and item/ handheld and parent texture?

    Oh, here's the full code:
    {
    "parent": "item/sword",
    "textures": {
    "layer0": "items/diamond_sword"
    },
    "display": {
    "thirdperson_righthand": {
    "rotation": [ 0, -90, 45 ],
    "translation": [ 0, 8.5, 1.5 ],
    "scale": [ 1.6, 1.6, 1 ]
    },
    "firstperson_righthand": {
    "rotation": [ -30, -80, 0 ],
    "translation": [ 4.5, 2, -6 ],
    "scale": [ 1.4, 1.4, 0.9 ]
    },
    "thirdperson_lefthand": {
    "rotation": [ 0, 90, -45 ],
    "translation": [ 0, 8.5, 1.5 ],
    "scale": [ 1.6, 1.6, 1 ]
    },
    "firstperson_lefthand": {
    "rotation": [ -30, 90, 0 ],
    "translation": [ 4.5, 2, -6 ],
    "scale": [ 1.4, 1.4, 0.9 ]
    }
    }
    }

    Could someone give me the stuff you write in a .json file to have a 2x big sword?

    Here's the code from Diamond Sword:

    "display": {
    "thirdperson_righthand": {
    "rotation": [ 0, -90, 45 ],
    "translation": [ 0, 8.5, 1.5 ],
    "scale": [ 1.6, 1.6, 1 ]
    },
    "firstperson_righthand": {
    "rotation": [ -30, -80, 0 ],
    "translation": [ 4.5, 2, -6 ],
    "scale": [ 1.4, 1.4, 0.9 ]
    },
    "thirdperson_lefthand": {
    "rotation": [ 0, 90, -45 ],
    "translation": [ 0, 8.5, 1.5 ],
    "scale": [ 1.6, 1.6, 1 ]
    },
    "firstperson_lefthand": {
    "rotation": [ -30, 90, 0 ],
    "translation": [ 4.5, 2, -6 ],
    "scale": [ 1.4, 1.4, 0.9 ]
    }
    }

    You can play around with scale values to change the size. Probably want to keep the Z-scale smaller, otherwise your item will be really thick and weird-looking.

    I do bad things with money. So your donations will make it clear to me that I am doing all this for good reason...

    Might want to rephrase that...

    Um.. so I'm confused. You're using Johnsmith as a base, correct? So... how about you tell visitors what's actually new, that YOU'VE created, and what is still Johnsmith. Also, you've included... all of the Sn0wsong pack as well? Why? All the files have the same 'last modified' date, indicating you've just thrown the whole pack in for no apparent reason (correct me if I'm wrong).

    The logo is impressive and the screenshots are... nice, I guess? But I'm wondering how much of this is actually yours.
