They fit. I just find they don't have the same relief as your others textures, from far they're a bit blurry. The pattern is great.
Cobble continue to interest me, I love the way you draw the light.
The cobble does? Are you sure we're talking about the same block?
Ok is this better
Thanks for the tutorialthat helped me but now i use GIMP\
ALso does anyone like this pack ? I don't see any even though there is nice comments
In all honesty, this is not a pack I would pick up. It doesn't really have any sort of theme to it, no consistency in texture style or palette. The textures themselves are borderline marginal, and while you're improving, I don't see anything here that makes me say "Wow, this is amazing and I should download this!"
Texturing is something where you sit and you do it for hours and hours and you don't ask someone to critique at every 10-minute step of the way. Sometimes you just have to sit there and figure things out for yourself, and just practice, and you'll get better and better. Until then, I would not recommend releasing a texture pack with the hope that people will download it and it will be popular.
About the matter with the name I just can't get to find a proper name
Why not "MetalTxus' Textures" or something like that? It's not like your name has a whole bunch of numbers in it or anything, so it's certainly fine to use as a name for a pack.
Cobble and plank are great, nothing to say about it. I feel dirt and stone being inconsistent, they lack of depth, or are too smooth.
Sand is very effective.
Grass color remind me of Frenden's, with the turquoise hue.
Tree looks like a cardboard to me, not bark. Needs some relief.
Cheers!
Thanks! Yeah, my grass color reminded me of Frenden's as well. I kind of changed it to a deeper green (along with a few other hues). I might sharen up the stone and dirt. Although I liked them like that. Do they really not fit?
In the better foliage mod images the second image makes the leaves look all fluffy and realistic, beautiful. And a question, are log tops assigned by CTM?
The log tops are not assigned by CTM. In 1.6, log tops (as well as birch leaves) have separate textures.
Did some more stuff....Crates are Sponges, Bookshelves have some randomized stuff in them, the Cobble/Mossy Cobble no longer resembles Stone Brick, and Cobble has a small bit of Cracked CTM. Should get some better colours for the books though :|
I like your randomized cobble. For the bookshelves, I'd recommend you randomize the actual books. Right now, it's still very much the exact same books in the shelves.
So I started a 16x pack, and I've been playing around with color and texture, trying to go for something stylized and fairly simple; however, I wouldn't describe what I've got as a "simple" pack. Tell me what you think. Feedback, both warm and cold is appreciated.

Here's all the textures I've completed to date:
(From Left to Right) Row 1: Stone, Cobble, Mossy Cobble, Stone Slab top and side, Stone Bricks Row 2: All Ores, Dirt, Grass Side Row 3: Snow Side, Snow Top, Grass Top, Tall Grass, Fern, All Planks (Oak, Birch, Spruce, Jungle), Row 4: Logs and Tops (Oak, Birch, Spruce, Jungle), Sand Row 5: Leaves (Oak, Birch, Spruce, Jungle)
I'm not exactly a teacher. But I'd recommend looking at some tutorials, and in general, looking at the shapes you're making compared to real life reference pictures, and other Minecraft texture packs.
Hey guys, I am sorry that there is no cobblestone texture in the update. It's because it didn't look good But now i finished the cobblestone texture give me feedback and make sure to +1
You've got a tiling issue with that cobblestone, both with the long horizontal line near the top of the texture, and with the diagonal line right next to that. But besides that, I think you need to clean up your textures. Your cobble doesn't really look anything like cobblestone, but more like random noise.
The obsidian and logs (more here) look totally different from your other textures, being that they look far superior in texture (the logs themselves are obviously a higher resolution as well). Are you sure you made all of these textures yourself?
I am pretty sure that you runned a filter because why does it tile this badly?

He would have *ran* a filter through Photoshop (or Gimp), not *runned* one. Secondly, the textures don't tile badly. They simply look like a cheap edit of default textures, and thus are not well designed (being that they're ugly default ones that have had the paint daubs filter applied loosely in Adobe PS). But they tile just as well as default textures.

I will. Thank you.

Delicious buttery sun sensors.

Certainly, although I'm wondering if you'd feel better adding it once the pack is finished. There's not even any download for it yet.

Only once you mention it does it seem like it sticks out. I.E. Good job. I like it.
