Lots of new changes (check the OP for changelog and new download). Also:

Lots of the blocks in the pack, including new ones (Furnace, new Stone Brick, new Cobblestone, Chests, Crafting Bench).

That's much better, it's still a bit yellow, but I think slightly yellowish fire fits in well with your packs overall color scheme.

Yeah, my torches have a yellow glow too. I should really update my WIP thread.

How about this? It might be a bit hard to see because of the particles in front. By the way, is there any way to make it so the furnace doesn't emit particles?

I have been working on the chiseled and pillar quartz. I think they came out pretty well.

I commented on these on your post in the TAU, but I also have a question: What's the map you use to showcase your textures? And can I use it?

I have been working on the chiseled and pillar quartz for my resource pack, and I was hoping I could get some feedback. I was basing it off of pictures of ridged marble pillars from ancient Greece and Rome.
    -snip-

I really like the colors; on that note, I like the colors in your pack a lot. It's soft, like pastels and it goes together really nicely.

Your pillar block seems strange to me; being an architecture student, I'm not familiar with any Roman or Greek column orders that have visible horizontal separations between each drum of the column. I'd just have each flute be continuous if I were you.

    Also: Furnaces! Opinions?

    The Countryside
Life moves slower out in the country.
This texture pack is a work in progress that aims to give Minecraft the feel of a rustic and rural environment, akin to the woodlands of Colonial North America. The Countryside utilizes Minecraft's native resolution as well as many CTM features for the best experience, including (but not limited to):
    • Custom Skybox
    • Randomized Textures
    • Lightmaps
    • Colormaps
All screenshots below present the pack in its intended form, with CTM compatibility. The pack will eventually also support various shaders, but as of now, this feature is not considered.Screenshots:Blocks Displayed Tastefully:

I like where this is going. The colors remind me of Super Mario Sunshine.

I was wondering what you guys think. I'm new to the whole 'texture making' thing, and my friend showed me this forum.

Hey, that's really quite good for your first time texturing! The stone seems a bit strange though; it seems like it has a very rhythmic bevel to it (or a plank-i-ness sorta).

I rather enjoy the rain; it's not invisible, but it's not too harshly contrasting either. Also are the villagers... birds?

Here's a better idea. Use the new model format to have an overlay which is biome tinted. That ought to work!

Does CTM support the model format?
