*Sorry for double post!*
Just a quick last minute check... are these compatible? How do I find out?
Mobo and GPU.
Please tell me soon (directed at anyone who knows about this sort of stuff).

Jan 19, 2011I can spend a maximum of $250 CAD for the Motherboard and CPU together.Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
I am aware that Micro Atx is just the form factor, but if you look at the pictures of the board I linked in op you'll notice that there is a smaller port between the PCI slots and the Graphics card slot, which would theoretically give me room for my graphics card (which is double sized) and 2 PCI cards.
Thanks if you can help.
Jan 18, 2011Should I be proud of my case? Alright, I will.Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
Motherboard is basically set in stone, needs to be micro ATX with that same positioning of the PCI slots and such (if a similar one can be found then that would work too I suppose).
Now to the old phenom vs athlon arguement, ahem, I wish to find the more energy efficient yet real world performance improving cpu. The mobo I chose has max cpu wattage of ~90W, and supports athlon II and phenom II, what would be better in the citeria I chose?
Post interruption! Bulldozer is coming... Oh, i suppose I'll wait for a new line of stuff to come out, or I'll just go with one of the current ones and disregard the new stuff??? Helpful hits from past experiences please?
Jan 18, 20111. I've added that to cart.Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
2. I don't know what brand the psu is, but it's been working well for over 3 years, I'll update you with the brand if necessary.
3. I was planning on doing some music production and video editing, I could probably go down to 4-6GB...
4. Case is This but with blue and plastic windows in it.
Thanks for responding so quickly.
Jan 18, 2011Hey, I'd like some help from anyone who knows what's what with computers.Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
I'm upgrading my computer with a new Motherboard, CPU, RAM, HDD [and PSU if needed].
What I have at the moment in my computer (from memory and DxDiag):
XFX Radeon 5770 1GB GPU
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6550 @ 2.33GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
AsRock ConRoe1333 Micro Atx Motherboard
There's probably other stuff, but it is most likely irrelevant for the moment.
What I want to get (I want to know if it will all play nice)
*update SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s $74.99
ECS a750GM-M Micro Atx mobo $54.99
Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 8GB (2 x 4GB) $82.49
CPU depends on what is suggested, I'm thinking something by AMD, but I don't know the benefits from 2.9 - 3.2 GHZ, so I would like some help.
End Question: From what I've seen, most of the CPUs I looked at (AMD, low wattage, compatible with my selected MOBO) don't state that they have support for 1.5V ram, would 1.4V compatible CPUs still support for 1.5V?
Thanks in Advance to anyone who helps me create a great upgrade for my pc.
Jan 2, 2011Rikoskin [16x] (Webhallen contest entry)Posted in: Resource Packs
Hey, I made a texture pack for the webhallen contest, it was like, a one week project.
Can I get some advice on making something better? I plan on doing something completely different, as I am no longer happy with what I made.
Click the images for bigger versions.
Furnace is nice looking IMO.
SlowMud, Netherrock, and Lightstone... sand too I guess.
My pumpkins are intense?
Saplings have flags, I don't know why.
The chicken is slightly edited, and it drops metallic feathers! And the bow is a gun that shoots stakes.
Ladders were meant to be holographic-like, but that didn't work.
This is the moon... nothing else noteworthy here.
Paintings are all from my Deviant Art, most don't look so great in tiny form.
Download it here
Please do recommend how I can make it better.
Jan 2, 2011Rikorumircea posted a message on [Texture Packs] Learn The Art Of Texure Packs [8/9/11]These tips are really great! I wish I had known about this thread during the webhallen contest, I might have actually made a good texture pack.Posted in: Tutorials
Edit: Great art tips, I will make a new texture with these tips under my metaphorical belt (or I'll just improve my original pack).

The idea does seem like something that would be cool to have, but sadly, I cannot help, for I do not know how to code.

It snowed last night about a centimeter or so.
Nov 25, 2010In the 3rd grade I went to principal's office 12 or so times.Posted in: General Off Topic
There were many different reasons, here's what I remember:
*Called my friend a **** because he dumped my small live fish out of a cup on a field trip.
*Generally insulted people.
*Made my friend say 'thuck,' and he pronounced the 'th' as 'f.'
Other bad stuff too,
*In Gr6, I put a bit of glue on a guys chair. A bunch of other guys put glue on his chair. He came back from the bathroom and sat down. We were trying to hold in our laughter, but just failed to do so. He flipped **** and tried to attack my friend with the chair, but the teacher caught him (physically) and we went to the office. One of my friends who wasn't 'sent' to the office came anyway and admitted to helping, so no one got in trouble.
*In Gr4, I made fun of a kid (just saying he was so dumb he tried to drown a fish/ suffocate a worm in dirt/ kill a bird by throwing it off a cliff. I didn't get in trouble because the principal was nice that day. I had to apologize though.
*I insult people jokingly, I'm trying to stop.
@Above, effing fantastic.
