One Reason I Hate Hamachi Is That It Mixes Your Internet Connections Together and after a while you wont be able to go online with your computer. My Friend Had A 3000 dollar alienware computer that he cant use anymore due to hamachi

Ehh, I'm kind of wary of the hamachi, the guys who answer questions in the minecraft forums didn't really like the program.
Yeah, so I'm looking for a small vanilla survival server for my friend and myself to build together. One that won't crash, and doesn't have PvP or people killing us or messing with our building because it is funny to them. Just a quiet place we can play the game together out of other people's way.
EDIT: No hamachi. I don't trust it, and my computer's firewall blocks it.
Just something small, easy going easy survival, to play and build with one of my friends. I'm somewhat new to the game, and new to servers. I would start my own, but it is too difficult, and all I want to do is play multiplayer with one of my friends.
I would be interested. I'm relatively new to minecraft, and am looking for a place that my friend an I can play together without being bothered too much.
