Hello People of The Minecraft World I need Help.

I want to use some mods to play with ,but don't seem to work together which is weird because i have seen almost all the mods work together in some mod pack or another can someone help me and tell me what I am doing wrong. In terms of "work together" the game starts up and freezes at the Mojang screen. (and no i am not going to download the mod pack to use the mods because the mod pack's around now are mostly 1.6.4 and I want to use 1.7.10).

Hello, As the title says I cant create servers for minecraft versions 1.7.2 and above but they work fine for 1.6.4 and below, I've tried the following
- Reinstalling minecraft
- reinstalling java
- Downloading several server .jar end .exe files
- reinstalling windows
- formating PC and reinstalling windows
BTW: I am on windows 8.1 Pro

After Several Frustrating hours on the internet tiring to find a solution I finally decided to come to you guys.
So I Downloaded a server jar for minecarft 1.7.2 it ran fine the first time but now it wont open. It loads and then nothing the server jar only makes a logs folder withe a text file witch is blank and that's that nothing else I tried every thing even Formatted my pc and still nothing i never had a problem withe servers before I don't know why it started all of the sudden.
