    As for livestock spawnig in ocean biomes.. It's not possible. If anyone is interested in ingame confirmation of this look in custom superflat biome descriptions. Which is actually pretty interesting.. in there is tells which biomes will spawn animals and which do not.

    posted a message on Greek Mythology Mash Up Pack, The Best One So Far

    So I've finally had a chance to check it out this morning and it's really good. The blocks, the builds and the music. The mashup world is great. It takes slices from many Greek Myths and I had a lot of fun just checking it out. The Minotaur and the maze, Troy, Colossus of Rhodes, Medusa.. oh man.


    I like the texture pack. I was bright and interesting. Its a 32x texture pack, and it was a great choice to go with that. The patterns weren't overwhelming and just plain nice to look at. The color palette was fitting and just felt like Ancient Greece. I'm loving the mosiacs. I have to say the 4J art team did an awesome at every level with this one.


    Lastly the music is really good. As I understand it it was made specifically for the his mash up and the quality shows.


    As a whole package I can see playing this mash up in survival when I have a chance. All I can say to 4J is please make more mash ups and texture packs of this quality.

    My thanks to all of you guys for the option.


    It's a great option, but could use a couple refinements. I know this is likely not the place for it...but some sort of way to evenly distribute items in the crafting grid would be a great improvement. Similar to how on PC items can be mouse dragged and placed evenly; it would make crafting items requiring the entire grid faster.( gold blocks)

    Well, it's an option for those who enjoy it. I've played for a while now, PC and comsole. I remember most of the recipes and for those I don't, there's a few I always seem to forget, there's an app on my phone or the wiki. Like I said, its not for everyone, but it's a cool option.

    I guess this comes down to more options.. and honestly I really like it.


    For some people it's just not interesting or feasible. That's ok, but it's not pointless it me at all. In some ways classic crafting is actually faster given you know the recipes and you turn the interface sensitivity up a little bit. Also, I've noticed with certain controllers its harder than others. I have a cheap back up controller that makes it a real pain, but on my main controller it's a breeze.


    I really enjoy it. I can craft stacks of items quickly and without the wait.

    Yeah, it's a separate game.. One good thing is that TellTale games are pretty good at what they do, Walking Dead was really good. Expect a game broken into episodes like other games they make..

    Ultimately some people will like it. That's ok..4J deserves the support, they've done some awesome work with console minecraft. But I'm not liking this texture pack at all. I really was looking forward to a new texture pack and I have to say I'm disappointed. I was hoping for something more mature than this and cartoon, and candy.. Now we have three texturepacks that are silly and bright. Please stop. Give me something I can build with.

    I guess it comes down to speaking with my wallet. Sorry, gonna pass on this one. Enjoy yourself if you like it, but it's not really interesting to me.

    Story Mode will very likely be across all platforms since it's a standalone game. Since it's separate from minecraft and not a new game mode, like walking dead and other telltale stuff, I don't see a reason why it won't be on xbox at release.

    4J's twitter header was changed to the television static earlier today. They usually put that up right before a release.. What it is could anyone's guess. I'm hoping for a new texture pack. It's been quite a while since any of those were released..(hint, hint)

    Anyways, I doubt it's an title update. feeling kinda soon for that. Although if they broke the TUs into smaller pieces I'd be ok with it.

    First thing to note is that iron golem farms are inherently slow.. There's not much that can be done about it other than build multiple farms. They don't work like other mob farms, and village mechanics places some restrictions on speed.

    With that out of the way, there is really only one design I think works adequately and consistently on consoles.. Originally by JL2579, Docm77's video shows a good solid design that just plain works...



    One thing to consider though on consoles is the villager cap. You won't be able to build four of these like in the video, personally I find that two is more than enough over the long run.

    Boat mechanics seem to be on speed. Boats go from 0 to top speed almost immediately and are very hard to turn, even when stopped. The result is a LOT of crashed boats and no effective water travel (which I use a LOT).



    Also, plenty of trouble in the nether with blazes spawning everywhere constantly, as previously pointed out. It's a mad house in there.

    I've gotten used to the new boat controls. I like the controls better now.. But I'd disagree on the boat mechanics being ok. If I pull up to a dock on my island map and exit.. There are times I'm 30 blocks or more out in the ocean when I should be at least next to the dock or the boat I just exited. Feels like a teleport back to where the game thinks I was 5 seconds before exiting.

    I'm having odd issues exiting boats. On exit my player is anywhere from 10-30 blocks from the actual boat. It appears that the game thinks I am one place and visually I am somewhere else. It causes other issues when trying to navigate around small islands. sometimes crashing the boat in the island when visually I am completely clear of it.
