For anyone else who runs into this thread with this problem, I may have found somewhat of a semi-fix/workaround.

Dec 24, 2013RemoteSenses posted a message on How To Avoid Losing Worlds (SEMI-FIX FOR CORRUPTED SAVES)After losing three saves already since release, and countless hours working on awesome builds, my buddy and I came up with an idea on how to avoid this from happening.Posted in: MCPS3: Discussion
Your best bet at this point is to go into your "Saved Game Utility" in the PSN menus, plug a USB drive into your PS3, and copy your save file to this USB every so often, depending on how much you play. This obviously won't prevent corrupted saves from happening in general, however - say you're 12 hours of work into a world - copy your save to your USB. Let's say you play for 5 more hours, then the next time you get on, you get the "corrupted save" message. Delete your save, and then copy your last save from your USB to your PS3.
Now obviously, you will lose whatever work you've completed between copying the file and the recent save, HOWEVER, you'll still be able to access your world from that previous save point. From there, just be sure to continue to copy your save over to your USB every so often.
We've started doing this and haven't run into the corrupted save problem again, yet, however, I'm sure it's coming eventually, and I'd rather lose 5 or even 10 hours of work as opposed to losing the entire world completely and not even being able to access it at all.
NOTE: Also, if you're a PSN Plus member, you can avoid all of this, since your saved game utility should be uploaded to their cloud system every so often.

THIS SUX!! First day i got minecraft for ps3 played split screen with a friend, spent 3 hours on it.. Had diamonds, built a house, had a netherportal done. Then we needed eyes of ender to find the stronghold, we were playing on peaceful. Then we went to change the difficulty to easy.. Tried to go back in, corrupted. Same thing happened again!!!! Singleplayer has no problems yet, but im still afraid that its getting corrupted! People try this: make a world, wait till the first autosave when playing splitscreen, then manual save, leave and come back, works BUT try changing difficulty and the world gets corrupted :/ then try do the same on singleplayer and nothing happens am i right? If my singleplayer world gets corrupted im gonna be mad, i have all kinds of farms, enchanting room, potions, double blaze spawner, diamonds pretty much everything!! Mojang if you read this im sure will not but if u do please fix this ive been wasting 9 hours and 20 euros for nothing!! Like and share this
I feel you.
Myself and five friends worked on a world for probably 20+ hours. Loads of diamonds, awesome builds, and I wake up today to find the save corrupted. For literally no reason. I saved the game no differently than I had the previous 100 times.
I'm not sure what to do at this point. I don't mind starting over, but it really is a kick in the balls when you have something good going. It would be nice if they could patch this and somehow allow us to access our worlds that are "corrupted" as it sounds like it's some kind of coding error rather than an actual corrupted file.
Dec 23, 2013I'm not sure which countries it's released in, but it's currently on the PSN Store and I believe that's the only location you'll be able to find it at. It sounds like they're doing digital downloads only, no discs.Posted in: MCPS3: Discussion

I've had an online save for a few days now.
Manually saving the game causes the issue. Simply let the game auto save before exiting the game. Go to exit without saving and confirm.
Since the game auto saved you won't have to resave it. It's a pain to wait for it to auto save when you want to get off the game but it's worth it if you put a lot of time in a save. Hope this helps.
I thought this worked, but it definitely does this.
I'm on save #3 that I've lost so far - all worlds that were pretty epic and had some amazing builds in them. This 3rd one that I just found out about is devastating.
After I lost the first two, I decided to let auto-save do the work, and never manually save. Well, that didn't work because today I woke up and tried to load my world and it's damaged.
This is ridiculous. They either fix this soon or I'll probably never touch the game again on PS3.
Dec 22, 2013I'm pretty sure this is a problem only for people HOSTING.Posted in: MCPS3: Discussion
When I have more than 4 people in a game with my, the voice chat cuts out quite a bit for me and sounds a lot like the sound you hear when you're losing cell phone reception and you're talking to someone. It's VERY irritating and has forced us to use Skype.
The problem only seems to happen to the host and nobody else. No, its not an issue with my mic, it's clearly an in-game issue related to hosting.
Has anyone else noticed this?

Haven't ran into this yet.
Is this the first time it has happened for you or....?
Yep, first time. I saw around the internet people saying that playing splitscreen and stuff like that caused problems, but we never did any of that. Other people said it was just completely random.
Dec 20, 2013Anyone else running into this problem????Posted in: MCPS3: Discussion
I'm ridiculously ed off right now. Five of us have worked on this game for three days now. Had tons of stuff built - today I get on and go to load up the game and I get "Damaged Save - The save is corrupt or damaged, would you like to delete it?"
This is a HUGE issue that needs to be looked into.
Dec 19, 2013Well, the mic issue is the only problem I've had so far.Posted in: MCPS3: Discussion
Still, when players leave game, sound cuts out completely for THE HOST only. Everyone else can hear each other, but the host cannot.
Tonight, it could just be an online/server issue/something, but whenever I talk, my chat is about 20 seconds behind and then when they respond, it's EXTREMELY messed up - voice chat ends up sounding like the noise you hear when your signal is dropping on your cell phone. Really irritating. Seems to be a host problem too, and it's not my internet because that's working completely fine.
Dec 18, 2013I've noticed that, too. But actually, I did have it working with just two people in game - then others joined and like you said, it seemed like we needed to keep 3 people in the game for it to work after that.Posted in: Legacy Console Support
Dec 18, 2013Alright, so voice chat originally wasn't working, then it started working, but it's still bugged.Posted in: MCPS3: Discussion
For me, if one friend joins my game, voice chat doesn't work. If a 3rd person joins, it suddenly starts working again.
If anyone leaves the game, voice chat cuts out completely, also. Weird bug that really needs to get fixed ASAP because honestly, the voice quality is ridiculously good in this game when it's working.
Dec 17, 2013RemoteSenses posted a message on Can we voice chat with friends while playing the game?Posted in: MCPS3: DiscussionQuote from LDUDE64
I don't see why you can't voice chat, might be something with your headsets.
nah, it's not a headset issue, it's definitely an in-game issue. It shows my mic moving but isn't allowing anyone to hear me, or me hear them.
