About the french localization, there are still a couple of points that bothers me :
- Soulsand. Some dudes on Youtube used plenty of translation : "Sable aux âmes", "Sable des âmes", "Sable des damnés", "Sable damné"... I don't know which one would fit best.
- Glistering Melon : to keep the medieval tone, I used "Pastèque scintoillante" instead of "Pastèque scintillante", let me know what you guys think.
- Creeper. While it may be silly to change the iconic name to "Cripeur", it sounds the same and even have a similar connotation. So I don't know, it would be a pity to miss such a perfect translation.
- Ghost/Ghast... By following the same logic, Fantôme/Fantâme ? The connotation is even more fitting than the original, but it sounds very silly.
Truffles. Truffle are a main part of today's society, and it would be a absolute shame on minecraft to be truffleless. Okay I know what you think about truffles : "that's tasteless", "it's expensive"... But all of these arguments are invalid, because it's minecraft.
So, what is it ?
Well, truffles would be food, and restore like 4 hearts or something.
Where is it ?
Oh, good question, I'm glad you ask it because I was going to explain it.
So, truffles would be found near trees, in dirt blocks from 1 to 2 blocks from the surface. You could gather it just like you gather flint : you dig blocks, and sometimes get a truffle instead of a dirt block.
Oh, and they would be quite rare, so don't expect to find a lot of them just by digging randomly around trees.
Then, how do I find it ?
There are 2 different ways to locate truffles :
- Truffles prevent grass to grow on the surface, from a radius from 0 block (most likely) to 3 block (least likely). It would looks like something like this :
= truffle
- If pigs could be domesticated (by giving it some food, or something), they would stop above a truffle-dirt block and look at it, every time they walk near one of them. If you keep walking, the pig would follow you again.
