Really great videos and you have a really great and calming voice for videos and podcasts. :biggrin.gif:
It would actually be cool if you visited Dan Benjamin on 5by5.tv and talked Minecraft for 30 minutes or so. :tongue.gif: (Dan Benjamin is a Minecraft fan too, and Notch have actually been a guest on his show).
Thanks! Just happy to help. :smile.gif: Never heard of Dan but I'll check it out. thx
Well, nonetheless keep making videos. :smile.gif:
I would love to see a little more on some of your very fascinating architectures (your fireplace for example was really cool :biggrin.gif:)
I'm actually not much of builder because I don't have the eye or the patience for it. I usually just make the basic necessities and/or build homes using terrain features, like caverns, trees, etc. and just sorta "live off the land". :smile.gif:
Category: Community Awards - Best Let's Play Series Nomination: Coe's Quest Reason: Coe's Quest is the longest running series out there (over 100 episodes!) and grows on a daily basis. Coestar, the director, is an engaging commentator with his calm, soothing voice and tidbits of humor tossed in. It's easy listenin'! Documentation: http://www.youtube.com/user/Coestar and also http://www.coesquest.com
Category: Community Awards - Best Let's Play Series (or maybe a new "Daily Show" category? it's more than an LP) Nomination: MinecraftChick Daily Show Reason: As a complete Minecraft newbie, MinecraftChick's LP series is fresh and unique, as she is learning the game while playing for the first time. The coolest part is the camera "window" where you get to see her facial expressions as she plays the game. The show is funny, stylish, and has high production values. She also does news, tutorials, dual commentaries on servers, etc. Documentation: http://www.youtube.com/user/MinecraftChick and also http://www.MinecraftChick.com
Ideally, this thread should be used to list current LP's and also to announce new LP's so Avidya can update the listing.
IMHO, individual LP's should have their own dedicated thread so the author can post notifications of new uploads. The directory's purpose is to let people see the main titles, in the top post, without having to wade through pages and pages of separate replies. That's why it's called a "Directory" :smile.gif:
Sadly, mouse buttons cannot be mapped (or at least I've never figured out how). I've always used the RIGHT mouse button for FORWARD in FPS games...I just can't do this WASD stuff. :sad.gif:
Been a while since I've updated the thread so just wanted to mention that my tutorial series is up now up to 23 videos and counting. Lots of valuable info for new players. :smile.gif:
Hey guys, I appreciate the comments, even the negative ones. I'm very well aware of the amount of videos on youtube, as I very clearly point out in the video. I suppose if you don't watch it and just want to ***** about its existence, then that's your prerogative. I personally like making them, have fun playing while recording and commenting so I'll keep doing it. :smile.gif:
edit: Put up a second one, this is part one of it. Ran a bit over 15 min so I had to split it up.
Bravo to you, sir! Have fun, share your creations, and always remember that you don't owe anything to anybody. It's FREE content, after all! :smile.gif: You can start caring about the gripers when they start paying you for the content.

Here's what we do to spy-chickens:

That's a really fun little trap--especially since fishing poles were added. :smile.gif:
All credit goes to DrunkonCustard! He's the original designer of the trap.
If anyone is curious, here's Part 1 of the mob trap tutorial (I did a follow-up as well with a few minor tweaks):

Part 1: How to download, install and configure the server program on your computer
Part 2: How to find your IP address and set up your router so your friends can play

I used it to make the video below but I haven't tried it specifically with Minecraft:
