I tested out the "Sprint Racer" map in singleplayer already, and when I first loaded up the map nothing initally worked. The sprinting, items, etc. However after a couple minutes it decided to kick in...

    A few specific things (Bugs):

On "Crash Course" for some reason the pressure plate doesn't work. Like, as if the pressure plate is stuck somehow. I wonder if this is just a game bug but idk...

When I played Dead Canyon, the item boxes were made of glass and you could see what was in them. Sometimes it would break though, and the items would just fall out.

I don't know for sure if this is a bug but in case it is: The electric snowball item doesn't travel in a straight line like it does in MKMC.

Battle mode wouldn't end when I ran out of lives.

Another time I played on Dead Canyon it decided that I missed a checkpoint. Except no matter what checkpoint I hit it didn't want to work

    What I like:

I really like the new item system, the different types of blocks, the new items, upgradable items, that's cool

The redesign of the tracks like Walrus Cove and other such tracks that couldn't be included is neat.

Even things that are coming soon sound cool (Especially the AI)

Thanks for the reports! Alright, regarding those bugs:

So by "nothing worked", do you mean you weren't sent to the lobby and the timer didn't start, or was it just the sprinting and items not working? I think the sprinting bug happens if the player is missing their "hp" score, which can only be initialized by damaging the player for some weird reason, I may have forgotten to do that.

Haven't heard of that checkpoint glitch before. Was it the finish line that was telling you you missed a checkpoint? Also, were you in creative mode (Editor Mode), by chance?

The glass item containers are intentional. For this test version I have a different chest type for each of the five rounds to see which one players enjoy most (also having every variant active at once is a bit overwhelming in race mode where players need to choose what item they want quickly). I had to make the glass capsules break when an explosion happens nearby, otherwise the explosion would cause the items inside to fly away with their anti-gravity, leaving behind an empty glass capsule that does nothing.

Gravity is intentional for snowballs. I didn't want them to overlap with the Missile Launcher too much and players usually expect snowballs to have gravity if they're playing for the first time.

Battle mode is no longer survival-based but point-based (mostly to encourage more aggressive play and discourage winning by hiding and doing nothing). With the datapack I was able to create a playerID system that properly gives credit to players who kill another player with a projectile/trap/whatever. I might add an option later to let players play the classic balloon-battle type format if they so wish.

What I meant by "Nothing worked" was that it did the countdown at the beginning and brought me to a track, but sprinting and item usage didn't work.

I was in adventure mode. And it was all 3 checkpoints (including the finish line ) that was telling me that. And loading the race again later on didn't fix it.

I played the updated 1.14 version with my brother a bit and this is what I found:

The lightning item doesn't seem to do anything, however the upgraded varient works fine.

Uh, that's it so far XD

will the bonus tracks from 1.5.7 ever be in v1.6.1?

As far as I know, the reason that there are two seperate versions like this in the first place is because MCEdit doesn't currently support 1.13 (Thanks to 1.13's new save format, MCEdit can't read 1.13 worlds), thus making it impossible to add the bonus stages in 1.5.7 (Minecraft 1.12) into 1.6.1 (Minecraft 1.13). What I have also heard, unfortunately, is that there may never be 1.13 support for MCEdit, which is obviously making it a TAD difficult to update the 1.13 version of the map with the new bonus stages (By tad, I mean... completely impossible, hehe...)

Basically what I am saying is, as of right now, the bonus stages in 1.5.7 will not be added to 1.6.1 due to the inability to import them...

That's a really well-done video there! Sorry you kind of got "Mario Kart-d" in that tournament, but at least there's some comedy in the chaos! (I didn't even know squids could block ender pearls... that's kind of ridiculous).

Yeah, the different time of day and weather on the tracks were intentional for Marathon play. I wanted throw in some visual variety for the players who had played those same tracks over and over. Some of the tracks didn't seem to play well with shaders (dark tracks w/ night vision or tracks with lots of stained glass), sorry about that!

    Thank you! :)

I don't think it's the map that has the problem with the shaders, I think it's the shaders themselves. This is the SEUS renewed pack, and I think it is still fairly new with some bugs, especially considering I don't think it's fully compatible with 1.13 yet, which I did NOT know until afterward...

And the squids blocking enderpearls: I thought it was kinda funny. Besides, I highly doubt it will happen THAT often...

Quick question: This does work with Optifine 1.13, but is it not fully compatible? I noticed some compatibility issues, like the sky behind stained glass is dark, and water is also dark no matter what, neither of which seem to happen on 1.12

    Tournament on Saturday! (12/22/18)

See the main post for details.

StickyPiston is also running a minigame server you can practice on at minigamemash.spmc.co. There, you can play MKMC as well as a handful of other great Java minigames-- most of them are new and all of them are for 1.13.2!

I might try to take part in this, although that was the exact time I was gonna stream Smash Ultimate for the first time. But, since I haven't actually announced that to my subs yet I can delay it for this. I haven't played much Minecraft in a while though, been like 4 months since last time I played, but I think I can do it. I will probably even record it!

I do love the new features, although sadly the ghost race thing doesn't really work for me, nor have I been lucky enough to get the new "F-zero mode" which I really want to try.

Bug: Knightmare-athon doesn't have an arcade mode map preview. This is the only thing I've found so far.

Edit: spoke too soon, on Knightmare-athon the switch doesn't seem to turn itself off (I think this might have something to do with unloaded chunks, but then again, I'm pretty sure the switch would still turn "on" instead of "off" if that were the case.)

There's going to be a second MKMC tournament! This time, we'll be playing in Grand Prix mode on the 20 "Normal" tracks with items enabled. To be more precise, we'll be using the newly added "Marathon" mode added in MKMC v1.6.1. There's no timer this time, just win the races!

The three players with the highest point count at the end will win StickyPiston tokens (aka, a free server).

Oh WOW I am glad I decided to check out this forum after like a month, haven't even touched Minecraft for about that long because, idk. I guess I better try out that new marathon mode!

In fact, I haven't even installed Minecraft on this computer yet (I had to reset it to get several other things to work)

I know this is something simple and stupid, but I can't get this mod to work. The link downloads a zip folder, but I don't see any zip file, or jar file to put in the mods folder. What am I doing wrong?

This is not a mod, this is a map. You have to unzip it into the "saves" folder to play it.

    Quote from Voltonik»

Hello guys, I have a very very old laptop (Dell inspiron 15 3521).. here are its specs:

    Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU 2127U @ 1.90GHz 1.90 GHz
    Graphic card: Intel(R) HD Graphics
Ram: 2.00 GB (1.89 GB usable)
    Windows 10

Is there any shaders that will work on at least 60 fps ?

    Thanks..

    Quote from Voltonik»

I run vanilla minecraft within 120+ fps (little fps drops to 60+ fps) with optifine installed
Also the best shaders i've got:

SFLP Lite (30+ fps) (i like this one.. but it doesn't have shadows on the blocks which I want...)
    SFLP Low (20 - 35 fps)
    BloominX 2 Lite (20 - 30 fps)
BSL shaders (20 - 30 fps, when in a water place up to 35 fps)
DocteurDreads shaders Lite, Low (35 - 50 fps) (this one looks just like the vanilla minecraft just shadows appear when iam near the blocks if i get far there wont be shadows)
    CUDA shaders v4 Lite (Pre Release 4) (25 - 35 fps)
    Chocapic13 Lite (30 - 35 fps) (Error)
    Kadir Nck Shader V1.2 (25 - 35 fps)
    Kuda Lite (25-30 fps)
    SEUS v11.0 (10 - 15 fps lol)
    Sildurs Enhanced Default [redone] v1.031 (20 - 26 fps)
Sildurs Vibrant v1.17 Lite (20 and less fps)

All the shaders in the lowest settings with 8 render distance fullscreen and lowest minecraft optifine settings.
I know its not that bad to play with 30+ or 25+ fps (Iam lucky to even play the vanilla at 120+ fps lol) But I just wanna know if there are any shaders to get 60 fps with color grading and shadow only at least..

    Thanks

With those specs? How do you possibly run Minecraft that good? I'm not saying you're a liar or anything like that, if it works, it works. I'm just wondering, considering my computer can barely reach 60FPS with most shaders shaders with an AMD Ryzen 3.20 GHz CPU, 8 GB RAM, and AMD Radeon RX 580 GPU (I know it's not the best specs, but it's one of the best PC's I've ever had...)

My laptop has better specs than yours and it can barely run the game at all...

But about an answer to your question: I don't think any shaders are going to allow you to run at 60FPS. Your best bet is the one I used to use before I got my current computer, they are called Chocapic13 shaders (It actually took a while for me to find the name of it, had to look through some of my old threads and look at one of the questions I asked about it back in March lol)

I still don't think they will work with your specs, but you can try...

    https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding-java-edition/minecraft-mods/1293898-chocapic13s-shaders

Edit: Right after posting that I saw you have already tried them. Well, I don't think anything will work if that's the case...

Ok, after posing that comment I decided to do a little bit more. I did the rest of the normal cups, along with the carrot cup :P

(I didn't know whether or not you have already seen my other comment, that's why I posted this one seperately...)

The switch on GCN Daisy Cruiser doesn't work

The menu icon for N64 Bowser's Castle is missing.

N64 Bowser's Castle lags the map, along with my FPS a little bit especially inside the castle itself, probably because of all the moving thomps. (I don't have Optifine installed like I normally do, idk if it's even out yet, so that could be part of that...)

The weather doesn't automatically change when you go to the menu after a race if the weather is not clear.

The menu icon for Logmill is missing.

Logmill didn't change the weather from "rain" to "clear" (I did the same thing in the normal map, was more noticable in speedrun mode, I think it's just a broken command chain)

the Logmill switch: When you turn it back off, the trapdoors are placed upside-down

The pipe on Rainbow Road doesn't levitate you.

Hurricane Islands doesn't lock you at the start position before the race begins. You can move freely.

It didn't teleport to any of the Animal Crossing variations.

GCN Rainbow Road was causing the map to lag for some reason. (Again it might be because I don't have Optifine on)

It looks like it keeps giving me the input item even when in the menu, whilst also taking it away.

I finally did a little bit (not much, didn't do anything in multiplayer at all) with the 1.13 test version. I have found a bunch of things while playing through the first couple cups:

Mini-maps either don't show player location or are completely blank.

Enderpearl fall damage slows you down unlike the normal MKMC version.

Sometimes it takes a little bit longer than it should to teleport to the start position after you start a race.

    Some item boxes won't work.

    Bomb-eggs don't throw TNT.

On the results stand after completing a GP, it doesn't show the number of points first place gets (just shows "[ points]"). Possibly the same for third and second

The River Valley TNT dropper: Although it does detect a player eventually, it will not blow up on a player unless the player stands still.

(There was one here about one of the musics, but it had something to do with my headphones...)

posted a message on MCEdit: Replacing unknown blocks

So apparently MCEdit doesn't know what concrete is, which I used in a build I started working on a little bit ago, since all the concrete is purple replacement blocks I guess? I want to replace all the concrete with stone or something, but because MCEdit doesn't have concrete I can't specify that I want concrete to be replaced with stone. MCEdit 2.0 doesn't have the replace feature as far as I can tell so I can't use that. Is there anything else I can do without having to mess up my build?
