posted a message on Biomes O' Plenty - Over 50 new biomes, with new trees, plants, mobs, and more!
    I have my suggestion:

    Xeric Shrublands.

It is a combination of reddish sand and reddish sandstone. Underneath the sand and sandstone is a type of salty dirt (dirt with a slight hint of gray). There are small dunes and hills dotted around the place, but it is usually flat. Various dry plants (a mix between tall grass and dead shrubs) spawn in large clusters, with the occasional 'dead tree' spawning rarely in these clusters. There is also no weather.

    I am MinecraftMan1 on Reddit.

Is it forward compatible? The server I go on uses the latest snapshots, and I hope I don't have to constantly swap .jar files. :P

I do not believe this is possible. They only way to do so, would be to switch out your .jar file each time.

This may be unnecessary, but kurtjmac, the YouTuber who walks to the Far Lands for charity, looks to have two different clients: One with Beta 1.7.3 (Far Lands and lag still exist) and Beta 1.7.3 onwards (Mindcrack server, Cast Away series, speed challenges, etc).

I have also seen vids of people who can dupe their client so that one holds mods and the other is vanilla/clean. :P

posted a message on Two Minecraft Clients, One Computer
    Also known as 2clients1comp...

Basically, I wish to duplicate my standalone client: One client to run the current stable release of Minecraft so I can play on the Reddit servers (1.2.5), the other to run snapshot releases to keep up-to-date and try out the new features (12w17a, there are books to write, dammit! :D ).

Extra information: I have the MagicLauncher, which has SPC and WorldEdit 1.2.5 dynamically installed on it. This launcher launches the 1.2.5 release (duh). I run Windows 7.

If anybody has the knowhow, showhow. xD

Yeah, so landonland deliberately spam killed me (when I had items) with a enchant-hacked wooden hoe, and then bans me for this.

Not even a griefer, spent only 10 or so minutes on the server, half spent being spamkilled by the owner, half looking for items, the rest laughing my ass off at this stupid ban message.

    0/10, don't go on this server. :D

posted a message on Extreme Delays using simple math
    Extreme Delay Science:

A T-Flip Flop is a memory latch which only activates when it loses or is given a signal. Thus, hooking up many T-Flip Flops will double the delay on the clock for each flip-flop.

Piston bands can create extremely long delays. By hooking up piston bands, you can create a very VERY long delay. This is how a 12 hour clock can be made.

Dispensers shoot out an item when activated. Using pressure plates and multiple dispensers creates delays which work at five minute intervals.

Some people have created ultra-long ultra-useless delays which turn on every twenty million years. Wat.

posted a message on How high can you survive a fall?: Experiment
Back on one of Reddit's Chaos revisions, there was a ladder down a 2x1 drop to a hallway at bedrock level. I accidentally fell down the drop and survived with 4 hearts. I wore full diamond armor and did not block (pre 1.8), and it was a 50 block drop. This set off an idea in my mind: How high can you survive a fall?

    Guidelines for full legitimacy:

    • You MUST have full health on the drop down. Duh.
    • Survival Mode must be on at the time of the fall.
    • You may not use anything that resets your fall. It must be a straight-up drop from top to bottom, through the air, without any obstructions or interruptions.
    • Armor is very much encouraged.
    • Potions may not be used to gain health on the way down.
    • Parrying/blocking with a sword is allowed. This will halve the damage.
    • Enchanting armor is allowed. However, the enchantments must be legitimate may NOT BE HACKED to extreme levels (For example, no Feather Falling VI).
    • Water cannot be used to negate your fall damage.
    • The fall MUST be onto LAND. Using a liquid makes you look stupid.

Don't try to bend the rules. You know what to do.

Current maximum limits to survived falls:

    Unarmored, no blocking: 22m
    Unarmored, blocking: 45m
Diamond armor, no blocking: Over 50m.

How's this for luck? I flew around in Creative Mode, looking for villages. I found one and looked in the blacksmith's chest...instant full iron armor, some bread and diamonds!

A whole night of fighting mobs ready in one chest!

Seed and coords in picture. (Wasn't sure if this belonged in the Seed forum or not...)
