posted a message on Back after 2 years, have lots of questions

Welcome back. . . I'm not so sure if you've made the right choice in doing so

    1. I think the framerate has stayed the same. Some people might say that version 1.8 has ruined their FPS, they're being ridiculous.

    2. The mods have been pretty great. They've become quite crazy and wackier in some ways as opposed to the older ones. Several popular ones are updated ASAP. However, forge takes a lot longer to update to the new versions it seems. Make sure you only download from the OP on minecraftforums or curse website. There's dozens of scam websites that will mislabel themselves.

    3. The game has definitely improved. There's several new features that'll be a pain for you to figure out. minecraft.gamepedia.com is here to help.

    4. Microsoft is definitely milking as much money as they can from this purchase. They've started to release the win10 beta version of minecraft, hololens (really cool), minecraft movie, and tons of other marketing to promote it. In development, there's been no changes with Microsoft purchasing minecraft.

    5. The community... *shudder* The one thing that I despise about minecraft... If you go on any large server, be wary of CAPS LOCK, youtuber references, FNAF, lack of common sense, and... eh, just don't bother with it. Try and try again to find decent people. They're hiding... from the rest of them...

    6. Yeah, its not exactly dual-wielding as you would imagine, but its just for convenience. Place a torch while you're mining... Yeah its hard for me to really do anything with it. Its interesting, I can finally be left handed... not too great as its hyped up to be

    Good luck

posted a message on If minecraft mobs were in real life, which would be most dangerous?

I don't think many of the mobs could be dangerous at all. Well, they would clearly be harmful and such, but nothing to cause an apocalypse or any huge disaster like several of you are saying. Think about it, Steve (or Alex), ONE human who started with NOTHING, is able to conquer hordes of these zombies, skeletons, and even ghasts and the Ender Dragon.

In real life, all of the humans have SO much more technology and many more resources than one human. Sure, he could have diamond armor or enchanted weapons. He killed a dragon with a simple bow and arrow! If we have fighter jets, bombs, and all of this stuff, i'm pretty sure we could take out any of these mobs.

Despite what you think, the government can't be THAT stupid in situations like these.

No, Bush did not do 9/11.

posted a message on You know you have a serious case of Minecraft disease when...

You think mathematically about every detail of block count, building or any other stuff with a bunch of scratchwork around your desk (me)

You've spent multiple hours actively at an afk farm (me)

You start having dreams about a Minecraft reality with yourself and other of your friends online (me)

You're humming Minecraft music day to day

You get concerned all day while you're at work or school over little things that happen on Minecraft

What are your other symptoms? Reply?

posted a message on Opinions Please

im not sure how you feel about this, but when i build in creative mode, i usually dont use a superflat world so i can get some cool terrain pictures and stuff with the backgrounds. In this you cant really do anything about it anymore, but i just wanted to mention that. it gives more realism and coolness to the builds imo

Could probably add stained glass windows to the big corners and on the big thingy in the middle. Maybe also add another block type like quartz or something, looks a little too... bricky. Otherwise you got the shape and everything down. good job :D

posted a message on How to dig out an ocean biome?

You can't normally change the actual biome of a certain area, it would appear like it, squids and stuff would spawn there because of the water, but the debug menu wouldn't read as the ocean biome

I noticed this pack hasn't been moved to the "discontinued" section of your texture thread; in fact, it's at the very top of the list:

    http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/resource-packs/resource-pack-discussion/1256192-list-steelfeathers-texture-pack-archive-updated-3

Does this mean you're still interested in it? (If not... do you take bribes? :P ) I realize the thread is old but I have to at least ask.

I know I'm just one person, but I have to say this pack has a really great and unique style. Even though it's far from finished I still find myself switching to it every so often. You've done some great work with this pack so far and I personally think it has the potential to be one of the best 16x packs out there.

I'm pretty sure that most of Steel's packs are discontinued, dragondance and i think lego genesis too... :(

I hope that they won't ever be officially moved to the discontinued side though, I've been like, praying that they would be updated again
