I like the 3x3, but not because I think more is too complex. I just like how simple 3x3 is, and you have to remember, you don't necessarily need more spaces. Just fashion the item in pieces! For instance, the spear could have a spear shaft made (three sticks in a diagonal) and then attach the head to that. The mace could have the head made (core surrounded by 4 or 8 spikes), then attached to a handle.
Don't have to make everything a one-shot item :wink.gif: Cake requires buckets of milk: buckets are made of 3 iron.

Assuming the torches are red torches and the red wool is redstone, this doesn't work/can't even be built. Explain the draft please?
Edit: Okay, it can be built. But then it's a 3-clock.
Right and right. But no, it ticks continuously as a 5-clock, timing and all. Or it does while I'm looking at it (even tried relogging to make it restart to check).
Edit: Oh, okay, I see what the issue is. The two left columns have the torches attached to the dirt blocks beside them, I'm not sure how to represent that. They are not standing on the ground below them.
Edit2: Not an issue with the build, but rather an issue with the conceptualization. All torches are attached to the sides of blocks, not standing.
May 25, 2011Was designing a few different 5-clocks, and stumbled across this entirely by accident. When viewed from the side, it's four wide, four tall, and one deep.Posted in: Discussion
Has the benefit of being able to hide inside a 3-thick wall, too!
May 22, 2011Call me crazy, but would a semi-simple "fix" not be to just change the recipe?Posted in: Discussion
Where the shroom is redstone. Or swap the gold and iron. Either way, you use less gold to make the tracks, but don't have to give the booster ridiculous power.

Economy, well written first post, and hopefully a good community :smile.gif: Want to build and survive the nights, without too much risk of griefers.

What you plan on achieving- I'd like to build, trade, and PvP. Pretty much normal things for normal people :biggrin.gif:

Why do you want to join this server? (2-3 sentences): Sounds challenging, and has reasonable PvP regulations. Plus, I love a challenge, the "vanilla" servers just cannot provide. Essentially, the OP sounds mature, and wants mature community members, and that is never a bad thing.
Do you understand this is a laid back Roleplaying server, and what that means?: Yes, I just need to keep chat relevant to living on an island, and not in my bedroom playing a video game while I crank out the rock :cool.gif: And, I can RP if I want.
Feb 1, 2011Yes, I'm sure if I continued browsing through the search results for "enough upload", "sufficient upload", "upload bandwidth", and the other combinations I have tried, I could find the answer. Unfortunately, I'm looking for one specific detail to server hosting, and nothing else, and my patience wore thin after four or five pages. So please, leave out the "search noob!" and other pointless responses.Posted in: Server Support and Administration
My question is this: What sort of bandwidth is advisable for servers in which the players are very likely to be in close proximity to each other for hours on end? I saw one person say something along the lines of 0.25 mb per person, but wasn't sure if it was a linear number, or exponential. I am wanting a 100 person server: however, lag needs to be as nonexistant as possible (within reason! I'm not made of money). As such, if someone could post necessary upload speeds for a 10, 20, 40, 80, and 100 person server, I would much appreciate it.
Also, if someone has made a valid post, please quote them and vouch for the numbers. It's a simple and effective way to determine who gave valid numbers, and who is just trolling for the sake of trolling.
Jan 30, 2011Sorry, was moving to North Carolina. I've signed up and downloaded Procaster, my channel (and username) is Red_Syns. I'll probably try casting on my own channel until I get permission on yours, I'll just be playing around with cannons and stuff :biggrin.gif:Posted in: Discussion
