Does anyone know if you can get sidings to autoconnect into an L shape? I've been trying, but even though mouldings auto connect, the sidings don't seem to. :(

From what I know, sidings don't autoconnect. What you could do in those pictures is use a full block and place sub blocks underneath or you could extend just the corner out a block so the sidings' corners touch and again, use sub blocks underneath.

    EDIT:

Pics to help illustrate what I mean:

    Corner as full block:

    Corner as extended siding:

Took a break from minecraft for a few weeks, I come back and I find hardcore of darkness. Gotta say, it scares the heck out of me to find a skeleton jumping out of some dark abyss-like corridor and killing me. Hasn't happened with a creeper yet and I don't really want it too.

BTW, i can put sawdus in the top and bottom of a furnace, and it consumes the lower sawdust but does nothing to the top sawdust

    You don't say.

FC posted his steps to make it work in this thread on the BTW forums, but I wouldn't bother right now since if there is any god they'll change the launcher so it isn't absolutely horrendous to install a mod.

Assuming the gods haven't abandoned us already, I doubt any amount of bootsies or villagers that are sacrificed will change their minds.

Wolves already tried to kill sheep in vanilla, in the same way that ocelots hunt chickens.

Yes but wolves now hunt other animals as well. And in vanilla wolves kill sheep fairly quickly so it's rare to even see sheep around wolves. In BTW, those wolves will only hunt when they're hungry.

Not being able to skip content makes the game unplayable? You know, you may have a point there. FlowerChild, you may not be able to read his post due to the crazy colors but he definitely makes sense.

Now to be serious. If you do a search on this thread for hardcore beds you will see that this horse has been beaten and is currently just a pile of dust. It'll also explain the reasons why hardcore bedding is not optional.

Also as an fyi, most of the hardcore features aren't optional.

EDIT: Nevermind about the colors. He changed it so it's now readable.

Where do I put it in the minecraft folder?

Just in the minecraft folder. Just plop it in there and you're good. Just don't put it in any folders inside the minecraft folder cause otherwise it won't work.

you should really make it so you can just put it in the mods or coremods folder.

Can't tell if trolling or just doesn't understand what incompatible with everything means.

    But I want a B1.7.3 server

Well you're out of luck then. As was stated, BTW wasn't multiplayer back then so you can't get a BTW server for 1.7.3.

I'm trying to get the mod running without MCPatcher on a mac and I'm getting stuck on the "done loading" screen when launching MC after installing 4.84 doing the following steps. I checked the Readme.txt in regards to mac installation and manually added the sub files.

    - Expand the minecraft.jar with Unarchiver, add .jar extension to folder. Delete original .jar
    - Delete META-INF from expanded minecraft.jar
    - Copy class files from BTW MINECRAFT-JAR folder to expanded minecraft.jar folder
    - Copy block/items files from textures folder in BTW MINECRAFT-JAR folder to appropriate folders in expanded minecraft.jar
    - Copy splashes.txt from title folder in BTW MINECRAFT-JAR folder to title folder in expanded minecraft.jar

    Am I missing a step?

It works fine for me. Only thing I did differently was the order in which I put stuff in. Make sure you're manually adding in the stuff in the net folder. There's a few sub-directories in there and you have to go through them and copy the minecraft.class file into the right place. If you copy the minecraft sub-directory or the client sub-directory, you'll have issues cause there's other stuff there.

Help please! I get stuck on done loading. Also i did not understand your mac installation. HELP. Thanks

Make sure you have nothing else installed besides BTW and you've read the note for mac users in the readme. Otherwise it would help if you posted a crash log (in a spoiler) so people can provide more help.

Do wolves loose hunger in Creative? I've been trying to create a Dire Wolf but he wont eat.

Protip: If something isn't working in creative, try it in survival. I know FlowerChild disables certain features in creative and it wouldn't surprise me if the beast is one of those things.

Hello all, hi developer, I wanted to ask a question: I see that there is "fabric" material, but it's not placable. Would it be possible to add it to building material list, so it could be placed like Grate, Slats or Wicker? It would make a fine material to build ship sails/other fabric needed in various builds. It seems pretty easy to implement, because there are similar items already.

Please answer - could this be done?

    Can't you just use wool?

Also as a side note: Never say something looks like it's easy to implement, even if there are "similar" things. The only one truly capable of judging whether or not something is easy to implement is the developer (in most cases anyways).

With that said, I personally don't see it as necessary as we already have wool and it doesn't make sense that something that can be pushed by wind would be a building material.

I absolutely cannot figure out how to install this mod, none of the installation guides have been made since 1.5.2 came out... and if I think I've installed it properly what do I run? Minecraft.exe? It will try to update to 1.5.2 even when I unplug my internet. Is there an up to date guide anywhere?

I need to know what version of minecraft, BTW, and modloader all work together and when I install them what program I run (minecraft.exe or maybe minecraftdev.exe or something) to log in.

I'm dieing to play this but I have no idea how.

http://www.sargunste....php?f=9&t=7096 will tell you how to downgrade to 1.5.1 and has a link to modloader 1.5.1. Once you have those, follow the instructions in the readme. They're quite simple and easy to follow.

I checked the wiki and didn't recall seeing this: I was cracking eggs in my coop and 4 chicks emerged from one egg. I've had this happen twice. Is it intended? I wanted to ask here before reporting it as a bug.

You'll find the answer here: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Egg

Been a while since I last had time for Minecraft. I noticed that wood pickaxes only break one block before breaking, and stone seem to cap out at 8. I'm guessing this isn't a bug since there's no mention of it anywhere; it's kind of frustrating to have to make so many stone picks, but if it's not a bug, I'll get over it.

Anyone have a suggestion to get through that first night or two before you have a good method of dealing with monsters, aside from either tabbing out of the game for 5 minutes? Combat without a sword and some armor is immensely difficult (as it should be!), so honestly I've just been making a little pillar to perch on for the 5-6 minutes it takes for the sun to rise... kind of boring, unfortunately.

Make your shelter into the side of a hill or underground and work on collecting cobble. If you haven't found coal, a furnace with some wood in it will work for light. That should keep you busy until sunrise. And stone picks should only give 6 uses. If you're getting more than that then it is a bug. It's more likely you just miscounted or something though.

Anyone have any idea if Endermen attack on sight now as opposed to having to look at them first?

Secondly the hunger is still way OverPowered, considering that the undead kill all of the animals around you, and theres no other way to get food, so the only possible way to survive is slaughter every animal you see before the mobs do?

That above seems just a tad bit excessive.

Endermen still need to be looked at and if you don't want to slaughter all the animals, you can always hide a few. Even if you don't have shears to cut tall grass with, you can still push the animals into holes by walking into them.
