My brother's girlfriend bought the Lenovo Y580 while it was on sale earlier. It's totally overpowered for what she needs, but she got it because I told her it was a great deal. It's pretty great
I'm pretty sure just about all of Nvidia's current cards are beaten by a 7000 series card for cheaper. Especially now that there cards are focused directly towards gaming while an AMD card for less can game just as well plus do video editing if you want. Can't wait for the 8000 series
Yeah. Anyone buying a Geforce right now really hasn't done their research.
Although the GTX 670 still seems alright for the price, so long as you're willing to use a meh reference cooler and PCB.
I don't see a hard drive or an SSD anywhere... Anyway thats a good pc but instead of having two computers, wouldn't it just be better to just have one but carry it around? I have seen people get extremely creative with a mini-itx gaming build using a case such as this:
I did a terrible job on mine, because I honestly didn't know where to put all the cables. I'll redo it this weekend. I'm not going to go so far as to take my motherboard off or anything though. I don't think I would need to.
No, you really just need to remember which cables go where, and route them in the most efficient way possible.
Getting all the unused cables behind the motherboard tray was a bit of work, though.
The cable management... it's... it's just so beautiful.
Took me about an hour to do, but it's one of my favorite part of building a computer. It's like putting the finishing touches on a peice of furniture... I just feel more satisfied when the whole job is done well.
And I was thinking that people would assume I was some rich American kid because of the fact that I have two computers like this... I'm actually just a middle class Canadian kid who works during the summer xD

Drivers up to date?

The first thing I would do is underclock everything as low as MSI Afterburner will let you and test in a few games.

It's the smoked window. I think it looks great, as it matches the rest of the case's black finish.
And yes, it's a very nice case. Nice looking, good cable management, decent airflow (not the best, but it's good enough).

I haven't tried them for a while, but last I checked they used the GPU just fine on my build.

I'm not about to go carrying a desktop in my backpack when I walk home from school
Plus, I despise mini-ITX computers.

Nothing at that price-range can. Try $200 minimum.
