Yeah. I would greatly appreciate it. I can't use 64 bit programs. I was on my old computer, but it broke and this is the best I have because it is provided by my college.
Hmm that sounds interesting. Okay. I had one friend who worked something out with me concerning the IP I was using and was able to connect. SO! we checked it twice and we're hoping it's not a fluke because it worked twice. Apparently, I had two sets of IPs I could use and both worked for me just fine. So I'm going to try what he did tomorrow and if It doesn't work, I'll come back and report.
No. This is why there's a problem. I don't understand the problem and this is why I can't fix it. I'll get a screencap of what their login attempt says. But that will have to (unfortunately) wait until tomorrow... :/
Well... I already know this is getting around the fact that they can't connect to me, but I'd like to figure out why I can't get them to connect to me. This was what I was explaining that we were doing in the meantime... till I get it fixed.

I can't figure out why he can't connect to me. SO instead of burning my brain out, not accomplishing anything, and not getting anything fixed or any playing done, we will have to deal with sharing the playing field with others even though we want to keep to ourselves.
I want to figure out how to fix my problem because I'm certain I won't fix anything if I venture into trying to fix something I don't understand.
They run a pure vanilla client. What I was talking about was that instead of ME hosting the server, we go on a server that is hosted by someone else on here...
This is starting to irritate me with a fiery passion unknown to man. Every time I try to host the server, it's ALWAYS something. At first, it was something difficult with dealing with hamachi and it being stupid.
Well, we are well past that, but Minecraft itself is offering it's own problem.
Everytime my friend tries to connect to my private server, it says it won't connect because of a nullpointerexception error. What is the deal with that? I don't know how to fix it and I don't want to do something that ends up breaking my server apart. So is there some way to fix or get around this problem? It's really annoying and not knowing how to fix it causes me to waste hours of my time. I have looked around for a way to fix this, but so far, I have not found an actual fix for this. I have tried the whole "deleting the player.dat" files and that never worked. And other topics around here have someone just saying "I have this problem too," and the others have no replies at all.
If anyone can assist me, this would be great, because me and my friend have resolved to just finding a nice server and hope to get along with 80 other players doing their own thing while we just want to build stuff/adventure together.
I have only had some issues using Fraps with this mod... Fraps seems to disable it in a weird way... which is... odd. It also keeps me from using water elevators or jumping into any body of water above my head it seems. Just noting that I am using Mod manager so the files aren't actually inside of my Minecraft.jar. They are in that Mods external folder.
I personally don't mind pure aesthetics. I wonder how it will affect texture packs, though. Chests have already been affected in a way that requires a new way of of modding them.
Something in me wants to reference Linkin Park, but in the end, it doesn't even matter.
No, but really. I heard about the sky dimension. I was excited for it, but in the state it was currently in, I was not impressed. I really was hoping that it would be prettied up and be fluffy and kinda cloudy... sort of like a Minecraft Heaven... only not.
Then I heard tale of the dream land. I am actually kind of curious about that. Is that even going to be real or was he just throwing the idea out there?
Okay. I thought I was the only one with the problem. If it's just a change in server to do maintenance or whatever, then I am now informed on why it doesn't work for me. ^-^
