How long you've been playing Minecraft: A long freaking time, though i've taken a long break too.
Some things that you like to do on the game:I want to play large mod packs and progression based mods. I love content, building, and long adventures. some challenge maps are fun too. I don't like vanilla very much though.
Any additional things you want to say: I'd prefer mature gamers above 14 years old, and having a microphone is a must. chatting with text while trying to play is tiresome.
I might have found the problem. I had assumed if it was a mod conflict that it would simply not run, but it appears after testing. a basic vanilla 1.7.10 with fastcraft (the optifine friendly new version) and another basic mod. Optifine loaded fine and did it's job.
Now to begin the process of elimination with over 100 mod's. Joy.
Im having the weirdest issue, and I can't seem to fix it.
I am running feed the beast infinity evolved with optifine and fastcraft updated to 1.25 (so they are friendly). I am also using the latest version of 64 bit java, and I've done all the old graphics suggestions. including updating my graphics driver on my old Radeon 5800.
My problem is basically. Optifine seems to hate windows 10, worked on 7, then I upgraded and now it doesn't work. anyone know what went wrong? I've been searching for a solution and have come up blank with google. The moment I finish loading minecraft and get to the main menu ram spikes and the menu lag's by a good quarter of a second, even the mouse is slower. loading worlds is out of the question, they crash every time.
I cannot seem to get this mod working, and i've looked up all the technical issues for the last 10 pages.
I am running a ps3 controller, (Registered as "R") and the minecraft 1.7.10 version of the mod. it recognizes the controller, but won't listen to a thing it says. i just can't get any inputs to work.
note: i've turned on legacy controllers because previously it didn't recognize I had a controller at all. and yes i've tried restarting.
Hello, I'd like to play minecraft with someone. the few friend's I had burned out on it. I prefer to play modded mc, and have been playing for awhile. But I'd love to play with some new people to experience that sense of wonder again even if by proxy. I play on the pacific standard timezone and am usually on all day. I like feed the beast mod pack's. Especially infinity evolved. I have also downloaded revelations but have yet to try it. I dislike playing on vanilla as it's too easy to reach the end of the game and there isn't enough stuff to do.
I'd strongly prefer if we used discord, skype, or some other voice chat service while playing as it just makes game play easier then stopping to type frequently and getting killed. You can contact me on discord as Rantingraven#7414

Anyways, i've recently gotten hooked on feed the beast infinity evolved, and sadly don't have many minecraft interested friends to play it with. As im relatively new myself to the pack i'd prefer to play with people who are new to minecraft or modded minecraft in general. I like the feeling of discovering something together. all I really know is thaumcraft myself.

Urgent update for anyone playing: Please Tell me next time there is a severe gamebreaking bug, instead of waiting for me to find out personally. All the real kinks should be worked out now, The iron armor invincibility bug is fixed

Any additional things you want to say: I have my own server if you want to come play with me, normally it's empty but I watch the player count pretty closely and typically hop on if anyone joins... yes, im pretty desperate for some minecraft friends right about now.

I dunno if this is necroposting or not considering the post preceding me, so apologizes if it is.
But awesome mod, please continue to develop it. I have played Alot of mod's, and this and thaumcraft are my all time favorite mod's.
P.S. If the creator is truly gone, can someone get his permission to continue to develop the mod?

If you prefer your thaumcraft without pvp or factions to mess with your stuff. please check out the primordial pearl at http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/servers/pc-servers/2471520-thaumcraft-4-2-3-5-server-new-add-ons There is typically between 1 and 9 players online depending on the time, and they run a similar set of modpacks.
(p.s. the primordial pearl is not my server, and I have no relation to their staff. i've just played on it and had a quite positive experiance)
