I honestly find the "ban" feature adequate enough. It waste less of my time as well, but I have always thought 2 wrongs don't make a right either.
However, if they break a server rule, I wouldn't be wrong for banning them to begin with, as it clearly mentions that will happen if they break a server rule.
Call me demonic, but I prefer simple, and the ban feature is just simple enough.
I'm just wondering, but has anyone basically killed their hard drive or SSD from running dynamic map?
Not sure if I am just having a case of bad luck, but on one system, I have had one SSD die, and on another completely different system, I have had one hard drive, and one SSD go bad.
I don't remember having issues like this on earlier versions of dynamic map, and to my knowledge, I have kept the settings pretty much the same as I have always, which isn't too far from "default".
Maybe I should reconfigure the render updates or something, any ideas/input would be appreciated because this is getting expensive, and isn't fun anymore.
The server has been updated to 1.9!
I had to disable a few minor plugins for not being compatible and a couple that were broke and haven't updated.
All security plugins still function properly.
As with any major update, there is a chance something may not work as intended or was simply overlooked on my part.
If you find anything broke, or not functioning, please let me know so I can address it.

It has been a while, figured I would take the time make some announcements about the server.
The server will eventually be updated to 1.9, and there will not be a new world for the update.
Frontier V2 has come under the radar and is slowly in the works.
What is Frontier V2?
Frontier V2 will be a complete new system, with all new hardware. The current system is still fairly decent, but it has been running pretty much non stop since late 2012, and has a lot of run time on it. The only minor hardware changes to it has been a couple of new SSD drives since it was put into service. With the age, amount of run time, it is time to do a refresh with all new updated hardware.
When Frontier V2 is complete, and it goes on the rack, the current world, and map, will be transferred over.
We most likely will start a new world when Frontier V2 comes online, but we will also continue to have the current world.
I will update more as stuff starts coming together.
Elykxaccount, and alfred101456 you both have been banned for stealing. While the actual offense is somewhat old, stealing did happen, and that isn't tolerated here. If its not your chest, don't take from it. Pretty simple stuff.
For those of you that like to stay in the "shadows" and think you won't be caught if you do something wrong, you are terribly mistaken.

Issues have been resolved, moral of the story is: if it's not broke, don't touch my damn network. ISP was working near by, decided it would be good idea to check things and do general maintenance. Well when checking the line at the termination point, they redid the connection... WRONG.
Everything should be back to normal once the DNS has resolved.
This server requires you to have a legit copy of the game. It doesn't run in offline mode.

In the essentials config, you need to set "per-warp-permission" to true.
The player in the group needs to have the following permissions: "essentials.warp", if you want the player to see the list of available warps, you need to add: essentials.warp.list
So for every available warp, you will need to grant permission for that warp. For example, if you have a warp called "arena" and you want that warp to be the only one visible, you would add this permission: essentials.warps.arena
Basically the warps you want the player to see, and be able to warp to, are the ones you will need to add.
Welcome to all the new players! You may be asking yourself, when will I get to meet Rampage? I have been pretty busy lately, but I do make appearances from time to time. Usually after 9 p.m. CST, it also depends on my internet. I live in a remote area in South Texas, so options are slim. The WISP I use keeps saying things will get better, but I have been hearing that for over a year.
I know, it is such a shame Mojang is wanting to protect their assets. Maybe those greedy server owners who only think of the bottom line, (for lack of a nicer way to say it) can devote countless hours of effort into creating their own game, and EULA and host their game on their server as they see fit. Or even better yet, maybe those server owners can devote countless hours of effort into fund raising that is in compliance with the EULA so they can keep their server up and running.
A wise server owner would of never violated the EULA from the very start, or even followed the popular "trend" of other servers or this would of never been a issue.
Server owners who blame Mojang for simply wanting to protect their assets, and possibly enforcing it, really shouldn't be hosting a Minecraft server anyway. If a server owner can't follow simple EULA guidlines, I wouldn't want to play on their server or be in control of my Minecraft MP experience. Guess I am a wise one.
I would first, blame yourself for not reading the EULA, and understanding what was allowed, and what is not allowed in the EULA even before it was rewrote to make it easier to understand.
Then I would complain to the server staff that had those ranks for sale. You will most likely get banned, but it just goes to show their true colors anyway.

Massive scale servers that can house a few thousand players at a time wouldn't exist if the EULA wasn't abused to begin with. (and there are a lot of those type of servers.)
The problem is there are a lot of bad apples, and those bad apples have spread to where "donations" became a thing of the past, and made transactions popular.
If the servers in question can't come into compliance with the EULA, they either need to scale down, so other servers that are in compliance with the EULA can get some traffic, or just close down completely and be honest that they can't sustain the server under the EULA.
Sure it makes sense. Stop and think about it for a moment.

The server administration didn't put those items in the game, they did the easy lack of skill part, and made a "perk" with those items and placed a price tag on it.
I hear so many people saying "Man those sick server owners for MAKING us pay the money! I can't believe its a pay-to-win situation!" What you guys don't understand is that these server owners put massive amounts of time into making their server and you guys really don't have rights to be complaining about the free multiplayer service they're giving you. If you don't agree with their methods thats not reason to be a hassle to them, just leave. And yeah, little kids buy ranks more because they are seduced by them. What are kids not seduced to buy is the question.
What may follow in the coming days is currently up to speculation, though no drastic measures are currently expected. We will update as this develops!
Drastic measures need to be taken. Until "drastic measures" are taken, those servers that have been violating the EULA will continue to do so.
After a few examples have been set, by enforcement on servers that continue to grossly abuse the EULA, other server administration will probably start to consider coming into compliance with the EULA.
Right now, there is absolutely no reason for server administration that violate the EULA currently to change it. We can't just expect them to do the "right thing" and all will be well.
Enforcement will not only show server administration that violate the EULA that Mojang isn't just blowing steam, it will help to level the playing field for servers who do abide by the EULA, and may help them get traffic to their servers as well. The players will have to go somewhere.
Too bad there isn't a way for server administrators to certify and have the server verified every so often for compliance over one certain thing I won't mention, but caused a big spill for what seems to me now, was just a mere waste of time.
Basically as I see it, the only servers that really stand a chance to be on the "featured servers" list are those big cash machines.
Some beginners never stand a chance when they are introduced to some of the consistent top servers in my opinion.

My players have always had access to everything else, including a towny world where once they buy a plot (in game boseEconomy money), they can be creative and do what ever. In addition, I have a game world that's free to access, a PvE world (main world) and a PvP. Suffice it to say, all my users have plenty of options to have fun. I don't think I'm "sticking it" to anyone. And I feel that its unfair to me and my users, that you'd group us in with PTW servers. I'm somewhat offended by that.
