I've got free evenings for the next couple days and want to play some undiluted vanilla survival MC. Just tell me your age and IGN and i'll whitelist you and send an ip if I think you're suited.
method of contact (skype chat, steam, PM, etc): steam
I have read the *Terms And Conditions (Yes or no): yes
Why do you want to beta test? : it is the closest my computer (and the tutorials i followed) will get me to making a mod, helping someone else with their mod.
If you had read the prior discussion you would know this was already mentioned. One of my flaws is that I constantly want things I've made to be a surprise, and giving too much away really takes away from the fun of that. I'm working on this though, as it's a part of my personality that drives people up the wall.
Lol, what? I'm pretty sure with reverse-engineering, things can be changed. And you don't even tell people the some-what exact mod details are! How are people going to know what this mod is about?!
I never did clarify what the mod is about, so I'll update the post.
Also, I am aware that someone could edit my mod with a java decompiler, but I'm not asking for only experienced java programmers am I?
I don't want an argument so I'll take this into consideration and edit the post.
I've been working on a mod for quite a while now, and I'm about to release version 1.0. I've spoken nothing of the mod prior to this, and I feel it's time to get it out there.
The mod was an idea I had quite some time ago, after getting burnt out of Minecraft. My mod, Illumia, is designed to light that bulb up again. There is no one focus of Illumia, because everybody has a different preference. Illumia adds things for builders, miners, fighters, and everyone inbetween. You want magic? Blocks? Tools? They're not too far away.
I need some beta testers to give me some input and find some hidden bugs for me to squash. Here's how you apply:

Terms and Conditions:
Attempts to steal this mod will be futile. I will mark this mod as a beta and have an uneditable author name on it, as well as an (also unchangeable) chat message on world join using the mod. By applying you agree to not disclose details of the mod until It's public release.
I like this mod, but was it made with a mod maker? The class files have some very strange naming conventions. All of the files that add foods and blocks are called ShinyFood$1 and up.
But then you have every complicated class like hooks and effects named tediously.
With ALL that evidence, I was a little suspicious, so I ran a file or two through a decompiler (Being a developer, I respect your privacy and will not link to the decompiler or share the code), and there were no comments. Then i discovered you have a useless proxy. What's that about?
Before I go i'd like to say good job, as I do like it, but if you did use a modmaker, you need to give credit to it.
At the moment, servers can utilize only scoreboards and item names to communicate data to characters without spamming chat. I personally think this isn't enough, and with the new /title command in 1.8; this seems more than possible.
I'm not a programmer. What would this do?
Minecraft uses something to draw text on your screen. This is called the FontRenderer. This is a very versatile tool for modders, as it lets you show information to the player without having to use a complicated GUI.
Plugins nor command blocks can utilize this to it's full extent, as they cannot draw text anywhere they want.
Makes sense, but give me an example.
This would be used from two things: a Vanilla command, and *an api for plugins. I have a few ideas for the command name, but my favorite is /drawstring. This would be used as such:
/drawstring (raw JSON message)
Now there aren't too many parameters, but this is because I'm proposing a couple JSON tags.
x: X position for the text to be drawn at.
y: Y position for the text to be drawn at.
side: An alternative for x and y; uses words: left_bottom, left_middle, left_top, top_middle, center, bottom_middle, right_top, right_middle, and right_bottom.
textSize: The integer that determines font size in pixels.
hexColor: Similar to the color tag, however it uses a hexadecimal color code instead.
This would allow for custom GUI or HUD elements, new minigames, and tweaks designed for a server.
For example; A RPG server could have a plugin that lets you make a campfire, and when it is on your screen, the burn time will appear over it.
Boss mobs wouldn't need to be used for announcements on servers anymore, people could make actual games like text-based pong, and people could make custom furnaces with a custom chest GUI and text bars that show food being cooked.
The possibilites are endless.
Tell me what you think below, or in the poll!

Looks good! I'll get in touch with you tomorrow. I've been working on known bugs for hours today and I really need a break.

I'd rather not.

*I'm pretty bad at bukkit. Would you need an api?

Is that really a reward? You've got two posts.
