Woah. This is a mod I've been waiting awhile for. IC2 Reactors are nice and all, but they're not as "hard" to make as a "real" reactor would be. This looks more like I would've imagined them.. I think this would be a wonderful mod!
Wow. I can't even comprehend what all's going on in the screens.
If this ever gets released, I'm going to spend hours trying to figure out what goes where xD.
HELLO. Tech Mods in MC have always been my favorite, but they were always missing something. They weren't "real" enough. I plan to *try* to change that with *insert name here*Craft!
Now, for me, the idea can only go as far as sprites, for I lack the knowledge, and programs, to create such mod. I can provide sprites and ideas for it, but that's about it.
Currently, there are only sprites for the mod, but I'm sure if a experienced mod-maker decides to code (and maybe model), we can turn my idea into a mod that will be deemed a rip-off of every Tech Mod out there!
Here is a current folder of all my sprite work so far. It is far from complete, and I hope to make more when this idea is picked up: http://www.mediafire...b/Mod_Parts.zip
(Here's some previews for those who are skeptical)
Lightbulb Crafting
Brass-Plated Aluminium Bar
A rushed sprite of the Electric Motor
Those are just a few examples, there are more in the ZIP.
Currently, I have a few metals in mind (keep in mind some of them are generic)
Copper Ore (smelts into Copper)
Cassiterite Ore (smelts into Tin)
Sphalerite Ore (smelts into Zinc)
Wolframite Ore (smelts into Tungsten)
Bauxite Ore (smelts into Aluminium)
Magnetite Ore (Used In Magnets)
Bronze (Made from: 3 Copper Dust, 1 Tin Dust, then smelting the bronze dust)
Brass (Made from: 4 Copper, 1 Zinc, in an Alloy Crucible)
Steel (Made from: Blasting Iron in a Blast Furnace)
Red Steel (stronger than steel, made from: 2 Steel, 1 Bronze, 1 Copper, in an Alloy Crucible)
Tungsten Steel (used for tools, and some machines, made from: 2 Steel Dust, 1 Tungsten Dust, then smelt it)
More to come
There are also a few "natural" materials I have to list:
Bitumen (found in small ponds underground, made into Asphalt)
Plastic (Sugar Cane will somehow be used to make it)
Creosote (Made from Coal, used for Wooden Poles for Power Lines)
Alright then. This mod might take awhile to complete, and I'm prepared for that, but seeing your ideas come to life is the most wonderful feeling, part of why we all play Minecraft.
PM me if you are an experienced Modder who wants to help, and want to hear more of my ideas/plans for this.
Also, whoever helps me with this will have more credit for it than me, if that interests you.
This is happening to me too >.>
I already tried deleting the modded jar and reinstalling the launcher, but the "Play" button is greyed out, not just on the modded jar, all of them...
When I install Psychedelicraft, the mod works fine, but all the blocks are invisible to me. The only things minecraft displays are particle effects and overlays. Could this be because of conflicting mods or is it another problem?
This happens to me too.. I installed it in the jar like you said.

Too bad it's in 1.5.2, though.

Say, how much of this stuff in the screens is functional?

I've been hoping for an "upward" hopper since they came out. The Hopper/Dropper elevator was irritating..

I don't think tools are the way to go. Gem mods always add tools, they get redundant.
But this really does look nice :D. I always love more décor blocks.

I loved this back in 1.3.2, and still love it now. Time to go fishing.
