Thanks guys. I don't worry about stackability because I see this most useful in the narrow case of wanting to move an existing sign a few blocks here or there without re-typing the message. And if someone does want to collect signs... well the inability to stack is just something they would have to contend with, much like carrying weapons or written/magic books.
This is not a mind blowing thing, but it would help with a minor annoyance. My suggestion is that when breaking a sign, if you hold down shift while doing it, the sign retains the text on it.
Flying with elytra, you can fly into a 1 block hole in bedrock. I've seen someone do it in survival, on the underside of the nether roof. He had to ask someone to bring him an ender pearl!
One of my favorite recent memories is finding a Stronghold completely by chance. Saw a light under the ocean, which of course can be caused by a variety of things. I dove down to find the portal room, half-way covered by gravel, but the light from the lava was still there!
Least favorite : getting myself surrounded by mobs that I can usually handle, panic, and flail myself into a worse & worse situation.
You'll just have to go out at night and try to spot them among the other mobs.
When you find one, you can trap them in a structure. Make sure you cover it up for when the sun rises.
Also, you should either 1) be ready to convert them immediately (splash potion of weakness & gold apple ready), 2) name tag them so they don't despawn, or 3) see if they are holding/will pick up an object - that will prevent despawning also.
If I may promote my own video, here is footage of me finding one and converting him. Notice this particular zombie villager had a helmet, so daylight wasn't a problem for him, and he was holding a shovel.

Sure, blame the victim.
Being serious, DuhDerp is right. I would add, just keep going at a steady pace and you'll probably avoid the situation.

I've seen all these things, and on a server. (I think the effects on arrows are not a glitch, they can have those kinds of arrows.)

I can't make any promises, but I would like to see what you're doing.
I've played for almost 2 years (longer, previously, on PE). I am not a great builder, but do OK, particularly if I'm copying a design.

How often would you plan to be on? Every other night or so
Anything about you we should know? I am just interested in finding classic survival servers
