- When placing repeaters on the ground the delay switch is in the longest spot. Is this supposed to happen? Normally it is in the shortest delay setting when initially placed.

On a superflat world in which I am currently working on an adventure map I have come across a strange bug.
An L - shaped section of chunks suddenly causes my fps to drop from 60ish to below 5. The chunks in which this happens has very few if any blocks in them that would normally initiate lag (Ex: Redstone)
I noticed this bug in an earlier snapshot a few weeks ago. So far I have only experienced it on this one world.I haven't found it on any others yet. -

Normally I don't play single player Survival, but today I did. I spawned a world with this snapshot and began to play.
I found two abnormalities.
1. Occasionally when I mined a block, it would go FLYING. I mean literally flying. Upon breaking the Item would launch across the cave up to about 10 blocks. Sometimes it would even glitch through the ceiling and into the tunnel above. (I would later be exploring new tunnels and come across an iron ore block floating on the ground.)
2. I noticed a texture change when breaking COBBLESTONE and MOSSY COBBLESTONE. The texture either looked: Normal. Or the break lines would HIGHLIGHT in DIFFERENT COLORS (Green and Yellow was the most noticeable.) Or the break lines would be PITCH BLACK and THICKER than normal. As I said I only noticed it on cobblestone and mossy cobblestone. It may do it for other blocks too, but I haven't noticed yet. I don't know if this is normal behavior for breaking certain blocks or not, as I rarely play Survival and usually stick to Creative. -

Do you play multiplayer? Someone may be dropping cobble and picking up your apples.
(Or you could just be trolling, but who does that on the internet?)
No. This occured on a new single-player survival world I made yesterday. No multiplayer at all.
And no I'm not trolling, I still have yet to find an apple.
BTW: The only trees I was cutting down were OAK and BIRCH. I haven't cut any other type of tree down yet. -

In survival, I cut down a tree, get the logs and then walk away. I come back a few minutes later to get apples and instead find a few peices of cobblestone on the ground. No apples in sight. Haven't picked any apples up after cutting down around 50 trees. -
Feb 3, 2014R3D_K1D posted a message on Snapshot 14w05a Ready for Testing! This Snapshot is really cool and I've been playing around with it on an adventure map I'm working on.Posted in: News
But, I don't know if it's just me but there are random chunks that drop my frame rate to 7 or below. (Normally I have about 50 to 60 on decently high graphics settings.)
My map has a lot of redstone on it but the chunks in which this happens have very few blocks in them. Including redstone.
In the 1.7 version, the same chunks work fine and don't cause a sudden drop in frame rate.
Has anyone else experienced this problem with Snapshot 14w05a? - To post a comment, please login.

You both bring up excellent points. And No it would likely not be called Season 4. The "Season 4 map" at this point is hypothetical, but I have an idea of how it would work that would make complete sense. It wouldn't be a remake of Season 2 in any sense but instead follow a different kind of storyline that I have yet to explore. The Dendron returning would has its purpose in this possible story. But as I said, This "Season 4" is purely a concept at this point. I will continue to think on it and see if the story has potential. Thanks for the thoughts.
For now I'll continue working on Song of the Siren. Something I'm playing with right now is the usage of flashbacks, which tell a second story that links with the present one. It's something I haven't seen done in a map before so I'm playing around with it to see how well it'll fit.

I've put some thought into it and after I complete Song of the Siren, I will likely do an "Exodus Season 4" of sorts. It will likely go by a different name but it will take place following the events of Season 3. (No matter what ending you achieved) It will take place in space and may see the return of the Dendron.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed!
Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed! Song of the Siren is part of the exodus timeline and does link to it. However unlike the other maps, this one stands on its own as a map. How do you think it links?

Song of the Siren Teaser Trailer #1: Who is Alex Monroe?
Set 70 years prior to the events of the Exodus Trilogy, Song of the Siren focuses on the lengths a mother will go to rescue her kidnapped child from the pirate Captain Oscar Flynn. But when a Siren gets on board chaos ensues as it makes its way across the ship leaving death and enchanted victims behind it. Will Alex Monroe find her daughter and make it out alive?

Same thing. Check your chat. You should see blue text saying teleport people here to the end. If you are still stuck try this command:
/setblock 407 128 857 minecraft:air
and then
/setblock 407 128 857 minecraft:redstone_block

Yeah not sure what would cause that hiccup. Sorry for the inconvience. Sounds like something just didn't activate properly for some unknown reason.
Do this command:
/setblock 407 152 857 minecraft:redstone_block
As for donations there is a link at the map but here are the link if you want to donate:

I'm all for a translation, however it would be extremely difficult. For one thing in order to add subtitles, it would require an extensive remapping of redstone. Only other way is to redo all 1000 lines and then retime everything. It would be a nightmare to do.
You should have blue text in your chat saying click me to proceed and teleport all players.
Did a cutscene activate with R3D and Sarah talking? If not run back to the last wooden barrier gate and see if says Objective: speak with R3D and Sarah.
If not we may have to go into the redstone and reactivate something. Let me know.

It is a series of tp commands that when certain criteria is met, tp the zombies in a specific direction. The system uses about 12 commands but usually they are not all playing. Minecraft can handle up to 20 commands in 1 tick before tick lag begins to become an issue. (However this number can drop if the computer is struggling to keep up) Even if a command spams the chat, it doesn't mean that it is causing lag, it just means it is (in the case of repeat commands) playing 1 command per tick. (20 ticks in 1 second).

Thanks for playing! Enjoying the playthrough so far!
There are 16 Real Bobbleheads!
There isn't an easy way to do so, as there are a multitude of factors that go into determining the ending you get. However if you wish there are several long strings of command blocks that will activate each of the 8 endings but may not work properly if solely activated. They are set in the episode 4 commands which is directly in front of the monument/ achievement room.
Well to be honest, Exodus Season 3 is likely the biggest map I will ever make, for some time. If there was ever a map that would not be completed due to the scale it was Season 3. However for Song of the Siren, I am taking a step back and doing a different approach. In a way I have limited myself to make the map take place all in one location (granted its still pretty big) but when compared to Season 3, Song of the Siren is about 1/10th of the size. But just because its gonna be smaller doesn't mean it won't be great. I am in the process of writing the script at the moment and I am liking how it is turning out so far. There are several connections to the Exodus Universe and it won't feel out of place. It is a look at a different but connected segment of time. For instance the player will play as a woman named Alex Monroe who is trying to rescue her kidnapped child. (The last name obviously means Alex is related to Hollis and Ryan in some way) There is also going to be a character named Scarlett Underwood who also plays a key role in the map. I am taking careful steps to insure that these connections to the Exodus maps have significant reasons that add to the overarching storyline of the Exodus Universe.
Should have seen it in beta. (It was horrendous). I have taken every possible step to reduce all tick lag in the map. If you are experiencing tick lag, possibly try reducing the render distance slightly, or restarting minecraft or (the server) if the game has run out of memory. This happens occasionally.

I hope everyone is enjoying Exodus Season 3!
In the meantime I've outlined the first third of Song of the Siren,
Also made some major decisions for the next map as well.
Such as:
The Player / Alex Monroe (Will only have a female voice) This is due to a variety of factors, mainly determined based on the path of the storyline.
I have also made Alex Monroe a member of the Federation (Which if you've played Season 3 you may find interesting).
I'm currently in the process of writing the script for my next map, and perhaps in the not so distant future I'll release the first teaser.

All my maps are on the Forums. Only Season 3 I have submitted to minecraftmaps

Yep that is correct.
Thanks for playing! I'm enjoying the playthrough!

Yeah if you leave in the middle of a conversation it can break the map. I'll put a warning about that next time I update the map.
Cool! Have fun! I hope you enjoy!
My next map project is currently called "Song of the Siren"
It is set in the same universe as the Exodus maps, but takes place about 100 years earlier.

Thanks for playing! I enjoyed your playthrough series of the map!:D
Feel free to make an animation of this, however I will not be providing a script for it. I don't have the time to do so at the moment, But you can look at the audio files in the resource pack if you want to hear the individual lines and such. If you do make an animation be sure to credit me for the map, and to let me know. I'd love to see it! Thanks for playing!
I will fix that soon. The forums page for Season 1 has been a bit glitchy for me lately.
Yay!
Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed! The problem with subtitles is that they would have added a minimum of 2000 command blocks to the map. Also it would have detracted from the overall experience in a way. Yes there are some audio issues but overall I balanced them as best I could. I will probably go through again in the near future to update some of the files. As for the particles on children and Phoenix, I'm surprised those lagged. I play on a older laptop that is by far not amazing and I didn't have issues as did many of the testers. Now the theater is laggy for some reason. There was no problem loading the theater in prior to updating the map to 1.11.2 but now there is and I'm trying my best to nail down what is causing the lag. The theater will not crash minecraft if you allow it to load for a moment. It will look like it is crashing but it won't. The torches were in the small generators as described in a book that you find in the vault. Anyways thanks for playing and your suggestions on improvements!
There is not that many of them. And I'm surprised they were causing lag. They were optimized to not do so.
This map was in beta for nearly a month. Seems to me you didn't understand the plot of the map. (There is alot going on and not all of it is obvious at first glance. For instance characters will tell you things but that doesn't mean they are telling the truth. The truth is revealed as your actions influence the story. I'm not sure what you mean by zones being tracked? Could you elaborate on this point? As for the Phoenix the hit boxes are within the green particles that move around.
You need to press that line of text. That's what it says. "Click the chat"
This should fix your issue.
Clicking the chat is how you will make decisions.
