posted a message on Shaders on xbox one version of minecraft
    Quote from jcm2606»

I doubt they will release shaders on console considering shaders are community-driven and modding is not possible on the consoles. And just saying that screenshot is kinda misleading, not all PCs are capable of running shaders, surprisingly not many can with an amazing amount of detail with all settings turned up and still run smoothly.

While I don't disagree with the fact that consoles may not have the power to run shaders, I do disagree where you say adding mods to consoles is not possible. During Bethesda's E3 conference, they stated that mods for Fallout 4 will be supported on the XBO. Since mods will be supported with Fallout 4, I don't see why they can't do it with any other game. It's just a matter of convincing MS to allow it which could potentially happen if they are allowing it with Fallout 4.

    Quote from Geneo»
I don't understand the fascination with trying to keep a horse.
To me, it's the same as trying to keep 1 particular pig. You wouldn't consider trying to "own" that pig or trying make it a "pet", so why do we think of a horse as being 'different'? A cow is a cow, a sheep is a sheep, a horse is... just a horse. I don't understand all the fuss.

That said, I'm glad you came up with a possible Magic Formula to keep horses from disappearing. It's not like there hasn't been enough threads from people concerned about the 'disappearing' problem.

The problem with your comparison is that not every horse is the same like cows, pigs, sheep, and chickens are. Horses stats and visuals vary greatly so you really can't compare them since the previously mentioned mobs don't have varying stats and are found in more than one biome. A lot of the fuss IMO is because it can be time consuming to try and breed or find a horse with the exact stats you want. It's frustrating getting a horse with the most ideal stats only to have to go back out and do it all over again because it had despawn.

I would honestly love to see something like this added. Having floods, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tornadoes, etc... depending on what biome you are in would add an interesting level of difficulty. I think it would be a good idea if you can toggle the option on or off as you had stated.

posted a message on Minecraft Xbox One Edition: Official Bugs List [CU7]
Another bug I've noticed is that chickens are getting stuck to fences. I have two chickens that are in a pen up against the fence. When I gave both of them seed, they went into love mode but neither of them left the piece of fence they were up against to breed.

Edit: I've also found 3 different witch huts, but have yet to see any witches.

When ever you leave your horse take the saddle, lead and armor with you,

    Its not rocket science lol

Good point. Either way though, I'll probably just wait for the update because having to constantly tame a horse and put on and off the saddle is just a chore. Especially when I could just put a saddle on a pig with a carrot on a stick and not worry about it despawning. Granted, the pigs are no where near as fast and maneuverable as horses are, but it's an alternative.

For wanting to know the release date so badly, you obviously haven't been paying much attention. They announced last month that the XB 1 version is going to be released in August alongside the PS4 and Vita versions.

Out of the premade worlds this one is likely the best one so far..

Also, put a pumpkin on your head. You get a cool Hud-like display instead of the normal pumpkin thing.

I thought that was awesome since normally pumpkins hinder your sight.

The Halo mash-up pack is the best mash-up/skin pack to date, IMO. There are no new features with the mash-up pack. As with every other texture pack, all of the items, mobs, and scenery have just received new skins. One of the items I found really cool as well as a little funny are the beds. They are one of the capsules that you see Master Chief in in the first game and at the beginning of Halo 4 and if you look closely at the part where the glass window part of the capsule would be, you'll see Steve's face.

posted a message on Minecraft TU17 features (xbox 360)
    Quote from ubergine

No one cares if you reply.

TU17 won't happen for ages I'd expect, there'll be Vita, PS4 and X1 releases followed by bug fixes for same. Doubt TU17 will happen before Christmas if this year at all.

I'm willing to bet that the next gen versions of the game will have the features that will be in TU 17 already in them at launch and that TU 17 for the 360 will be released shortly after the next gen versions are released.
