So 4J announced on twitter that they are working on getting 1.8 onto the console which means the next big update should in theory contain 1.7 and 1.8. This means that the console version should be caught up to PC, if not just slightly behind. What do you guys think this means for the new 1.9 update PC will be getting? Do you think they will try and put it on Console around the same time/shortly after it's released on PC?

Yup, just look it up online by searching Xbox One Fallout 4 mod support. Hearing about this was awesome news because this opens up the potential for other Xbox One games to possibly have mod support.
No. Mods will never be released legally on consoles. Mods are third party programs which means anyone could alter a console and they are not going to allow people to do that.
Than how are they going to allow Fallout 4 to use mods created on PC? Bethesda confirmed that the XBO version of Fallout 4 will support mods. I wouldn't say mods for Minecraft XBO will never happen. There is a very slim chance, but a chance nonetheless since they are allowing it with Fallout 4.
I doubt they will release shaders on console considering shaders are community-driven and modding is not possible on the consoles. And just saying that screenshot is kinda misleading, not all PCs are capable of running shaders, surprisingly not many can with an amazing amount of detail with all settings turned up and still run smoothly.
While I don't disagree with the fact that consoles may not have the power to run shaders, I do disagree where you say adding mods to consoles is not possible. During Bethesda's E3 conference, they stated that mods for Fallout 4 will be supported on the XBO. Since mods will be supported with Fallout 4, I don't see why they can't do it with any other game. It's just a matter of convincing MS to allow it which could potentially happen if they are allowing it with Fallout 4.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but no mine shafts have spawned on the world I made after the most recent update. I made 2 worlds using the same seed. The first one was made when MC XBO came out last September and the 2nd was made just 2 weeks ago after my first world got saved in creative. The first save had several mine shafts, but I can't find any on this current one and the mine shafts that are in the first save are not in the second save. Do mine shafts generate in random places on a map? Or are they supposed to generate in specific locations like temples, strongholds, and dungeons do?
This thread has been really helpful in finding adults to play with and I'm seeing quite a few people posting new threads looking for adult players. I'm adding my GT again to keep this thread going.
I've been playing Minecraft for a little over a year now, and have a fairly good knowledge of the game. Feel free to add me if you'd like to join me or have me join you.
Added and Added. To give people an idea of what my world looks like, here are some screen shots. If this looks like a world you'd be interested in joining, feel free to add me and join me whenever I'm online. I also don't mind joining other people's worlds as well.
Is the ability to see through the ground when you are shoved into a TNT block (X-ray vision) a bug or is that how it's supposed to be.
I'm pretty sure that's how it's supposed to be as that has been there since the 360 version and I'm pretty sure 4J is aware of it. It is probably a bug, but one that people liked so they probably just decided to keep it in the game.
I'm actively looking for people to play with either on their world or mine. I've been playing for only a little over a year, but have learned quite a bit in that time frame and wouldn't mind helping new players out.
So unfortunately the world I mentioned in my most recent post is not the one I'll be using for survival. I had my younger sibling over for the weekend and she accidentally went into that world on creative so achievements and leader boards are disabled on that map. I've started a new survival map and only have one structure built and a mine started. Be sure to add if you are interested in joining.
So just some info regarding my current/primary world:
I've been working on it since Minecraft XBO's release (I didn't feel like transferring my 360 save over), there are still tons of unexplored areas, lot's of room for more houses/structures, the stronghold has not been located yet, I have a small village started right next to the initial spawn, the Nether portal is right next to a nether fortress, and I don't care what people build as long as it isn't right on top of someone else's structures. I also have a 9 room building set up for people to temporarily stay in while they set up their own houses and I'm in the process of stocking each room with some basic supplies.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, add/message me and feel free to join anytime you see that I'm on as I don't usually send invites and will just play offline if I don't want anyone to join me.
