    Should the animals have to be cleaned? As well as their cages? And if they do, how often do you think you should have to? I was thinking double the real life time as MC days are shorter, and it would get kind of annoying cleaning a cage every single week...


    Also, I'd like to know if the new NPCs should use the Villager model or the player model? If they use the Villager model and someone uses a mod that replaces them it might seem strange, but if they don't it will also seem strange. (that's why I'm asking you guys.) Maybe we could make two separate files so you can have either one? Is that even possible? I have no idea... I'd assume so though, seems simple enough.

    I'm gonna start doing some research soon, then use the information to create books. These books will be tradable at pet stores, for a low price of course! They will give you all the information you need to know before getting your pet. A few ideas of things I thought I'd include are:

    -Tank size

    -Food and water (how much they need and such)

    -Temperature and humidity

    -Décor

    -Species that can and can never be housed with the pet

    -General info

    -A few fun facts (possibly)

    If you think of anything that should be added or removed, tell me. I'll think about adding it or leaving it out. :)


    What pet do you think I should start researching first? Maybe whatever gets a model done first... Researching takes less time than model making though, so that might not work... Hm, maybe just whatever is interesting? Or whatever model(s) we're focused on for now? IDK, any who enough rambling. xP

    I see you added a poll for adding Floo powder in V1... You should wait and add it later. that way you can have the mod out quicker. :) Worry about the more basic things as well as the things that really make it a Harry Potter experience. The Floo powder didn't do much and the mod could do good with or without it. :) At least that's just my opinion.

    I hae an idea why don't you create different kinds of dogs cause one dog is boreing.

    There are already mods that add dogs. Also, as I have said before, this mod is focused on smaller and exotic animals that have been forgotten.


    After the mod is released and working, we could add an update that adds things like more dogs and cats. But for now, we're focusing on the main idea of tank and cage animals. Then probably the more exotic things like capybara.


    Can I use this in a modpack

    Yes, of course you can! Just drop a link to the original mod post (when the mod is released of course!) and give us a bit of credit. :)

    I've put in a sketch and a colour chart for each, we don't need a texture for each colour and/or pattern. Because we don't need like 20 textures, but we still don't want too few, you can do however many textures you like. As long as it's kept a simple, small number. :) Oh and I almost forgot to mention, I put down animals that don't come in more specific breeds that look fairly different than the rest. (That's why there aren't any fish, birds, frogs, etc)

    f corse, This is a community, so I will always help other people if they want to ^^

    1. there isn't a way to make that I think... Ticks only work when the world is in use, or at least I think so.

    2. Well, that's hard... Some things need the files. If i'm making a
    render or any entity, I need the main file to put the registry and some
    other files (If needed) like the AI (Artificial Intelligence).
    Ah, alright I see. Well, I was thinking it would be difficult. I but I thought there might be a few things you could do that don't need files.
    I'll hopefully have some of that reply done and up soon. Then we can get back to getting this thing going again. :)

    Other: Oh no... my brain has already started working on how i would do
    this... make the cage with mob inside a cage a seperate entity... make
    it so that only certain keys open one type of cage and when cage is
    opened destroy old mob and spawn the pet.... sorry.

    Hi, are you still on the team? Just gotta make sure... So, I had a question about coding. Two actually, I'm wondering if there would be a possibility to make it so every time you leave the game your pet still moves around and goes on with it's daily life? But it's needs would stay as is. My other question is, can you code without having any files for what your coding? (I could have looked it up, but I kinda doubt I'll find the answer...)
