Nooo... Misa did it, before any of that old hype about it began! She was, as far as I know, the first player to ever do it.
This was uploaded on the 17th July 2009, way back in the classic 0.23 version. Regardless, thank you for this post lol. I'm a bit of a Trekkie. =)

It was on the list, lol. Mojang just did yet another update, and moved to a c version - 18w22c. It was to fix a number of crashes and bugs. These ones, in particular:
When mojang updates to new 'letter' versions of the same snapshot, they tend to remove previous ones from the list; especially if they contained crashes or game-breaking bugs.

Thanks! However, it seems they fixed the issue with the weird crashes via a 18w22b snapshot:
That's just how things work, when trying to keep up with development builds lol. Here's the full changes for the new snapshot,
since SlicedLime hasn't made a video yet: https://minecraft.net/en-us/article/minecraft-snapshot-18w22bHere's the video:

Update to my previous quote of your reply:When you have time, could you try restarting the server? If that doesn't work, I guess reverting to 18w21b will work. That one was working wonderfully for 5 hours or so, before you updatedagain.Okay, second update: I discovered why I was disconnecting. I had logged out whilst standing on top of my bed. Every time I tried to connect, it would crash the server and kick me after a split second of letting me see the game. In each of those split seconds, I held the forward key and eventually after like 100 tries, I moved off my bed. Once that finally happened, I was able to login with no issues:
I'm able to play again, and there's no problems so far. =)

Hello, thank you for applying! I've added you to the whitelist:
Please take a moment to read through this copy-paste quote, about the current status of our server:
Honestly, it feels kinda scummy for me to not say anything about our playerbase, so I'll try to explain. Long story short: Everyone and their nan has applied for this server, played a bit, quit, and never returned. The few that have returned, are a tiny group of maybe ~20 people who keep coming back infrequently. They don't all return at once, and sometimes we only have 5 people, or 10 people. This means even if all our active players do return for the full 1.13 release, it'll still only be a small number.
Unless of course, more of our previous whitelist applicants return. I'm one of the aforementioned oldies who keep leaving and returning; started playing this server back in 2013 or so when someone else was the owner. So in the end, our thread's page-count is mildly misleading. Hopefully this helps to explain things.

Well, you missed two questions on the format:
Either way, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be whitelisted. So, welcome to MCL+! =)
Here's a copy-paste quote about the current status of the server; please read it in its entirety when you have a moment:
Now, regarding this bit from your two posts...
Yes, that's because you haven't been whitelisted lol. The reason I am unable to join the snapshot server, is stated above. So there's no reason to revert to the previous snapshot. Unless of course, I'm completely wrong and the snapshot server isn't whitelist protected at all lol. However, I'm wagering it is protected. So you'll need to wait for AegisJester (or another OP) to add you to the whitelist, before you can join it. I'm not an OP, and only have whitelisting permission for the main server.

Hmm... I'm unable to connect at all. It shows up as green with full bars, and so I attempt to login. Upon doing so, it gets to "Loading terrain" and then flashes and says "Server closed." After that, the server stays offline for about a minute despite refreshing the list. It then comes back online on its own, and the process repeats itself.
Now, that said... there's the possibility it's only me because I was playing the previous snapshot for ~5 hours or so and started setting up a new base. It might be throwing an error because I'm out of bounds, or something. Like, out in unloaded chunks. Could you delete my player file, to see if that works?

Well, there's once again a new snapshot - 18w22a.
It just happened an hour ago. As such, there's no developer video yet, so the news post will suffice for now: https://minecraft.net/en-us/article/minecraft-snapshot-18w22aHere are all the changes listed on the website:
As you can see, some of it is pretty vague like "fixed a really old bug". What that is exactly, will be shown the the developer video when it comes out in a few hours.
However, this bug in particular looks like it could be a real issue: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-130197
It's fixed in the snapshot that just happened, and we're just one behind it. Here's hoping no one purposely tries to trigger it.
Edit: SlicedLime - the Mojang Dev - finished the video, so here it is:

I hope you've enjoyed your vacation, and continue to do so. =)
Also, awesome! I've been really hoping you would update it, so I'm glad you've decided to give it a go. Hopefully all goes well, and there's no issues. I'm really excited to finally be able to play it again, without my unplayable lag.
Hello. I've gone ahead and added you to our whitelist:
Welcome to the server! Here's a copy-paste quote, about the current status of our server:

I've added you to the whitelist:
Welcome to the server.
Well, this is less vanilla and much closer to the "semi" in Semi-vanilla. We have a lot of plugins that make the game feel more enjoyable, such as Mcmmo. However, we do currently have a snapshot server running, which is pure vanilla. Although, it's kinda outdated and on snapshot version 18w16a right now. You'll have to wait for Jester or another OP to whitelist you on there; I only have whitelisting abilities on the main server.
Also, please note that the aforementioned snapshot server is what will Soon™ replace the current main 1.12.2 world. Once the 1.13 update happens, the map on the main server will be replaced with it. Don't worry though, any builds you make will be copied over - you'll need to request it, though. As a side note, the dynamic map doesn't ... "update" correctly any more, due to the sheer size of our world. That'll change, when the 1.13 update rolls around.
Er... well, this server thankfully doesn't have factions lol. The people that used to play actively (who hopefully return for 1.13) also didn't actively partake in PvP. They'd "fun kill" one another occasionally, with a wacky named item or weapon, but that was really it. So if you're looking for PvP, you won't find it here.
As another side note, most of our current active players are playing the snapshot server. So if you'd like to play with other people, that'll be your best option right now. Otherwise, you'll likely be playing alone for quite some time if you choose the main server.

You're not understanding, lol. Specific cpu models (obviously not yours, since your performance is fine now) are affected by a bug in snapshot version 18w16a. Mojang was made aware of this, and fixed it in a newer snapshot. Despite this, I took you at your word to see if it made any difference anyways. Sadly, it didn't. Minecraft still spiked to 100% cpu usage upon every movement. This occurs both in single player and in servers, specifically in snapshot version 18w16a. My performance is wonderful in all previous snapshots, and all snapshots that come after.
I'd also like to remind you that my hardware is "monster level", and should not have any performance issues regardless of render distance. It's an i7-7700k, GTX 1080 Ti, 48GB of ddr4 ram, and a 256GB NVMe SSD. That's at the top-end for pc gaming hardware, with a ~$2,100 price tag. Again, I'll reiterate that there was a bug in snapshot version 18w16a, which was widely posted about on the Minecraft subreddit, which affected specific cpu models. Since our server is still in the aforementioned snapshot, this means I am still affected by the bug.

Yup, this was one of the bugs that the most recent snapshot - 18w21b - fixes. Sadly, Jester still has the server on a snapshot from over a month ago - 18w16a. Lots of new content, crash fixes, and bug fixes have happened since then. So, all we can do is wait for Jester to update.
Partially why I haven't logged into the snapshot recently, is because I'm waiting for them to update to a newer snapshot. The one the server is still on, has some extremely severe performance issues on specific cpu models. My i7-7700k is one of the affected ones, and it jumps to 100% usage at the slightest movement. As a result, I also have 10-20fps on there.

Here's a b version, of the above snapshot - 18w21b:
It has a crash fix, and a small handful of other bug fixes. This was mostly just released to address the crash.
